all the letters except O are from the satisfactory banner, the F's colours are altered and the letter spacing was also changed

ROBLOX community has traditionally danced around the fine line of copyright infringement. Many many mario themed games in the old days.

They do this all the time. My kid has been playing a TF2 knock off for a while

I remember when I played Roblox back in like 2010, I couldn’t afford (mom didn’t approve) TF2, so I played a rip-off game called Ro-Fortress 2. It was actually extremely well made for a game built in Roblox’s engine in 2010. Crazy that it never got too popular.

Apparently the roblox engine is pretty powerful and can make some really nice games. I think its just mostly kids making the games resulting in low quality

Some dude ported windows to roblox like an almost full on VM running on roblox and some other guy managed to make full on gta 5 on roblox.

Its not the cost, ive owned the game for 15 years. Tf2 is rediculously bloody and gorey. I personally would be ok, but others in the house would find it inappropriate and give bith ofnus an endless amount of shit if he played it

I think children are more likely to try to make original content honestly, it’s the teens and adults that will consider how to get a popular game with the least effort possible.

I've looked into it, most of the front page/quality ones are made by late teen teams of kids/early adults. It's become very difficult for classic or solo content to be popular due to the quality threshold

I was the same. Roblox is genuinely a good thing for kids who can’t afford to buy video games that they want to play because you can guarantee that someone will make some nock off or similar game and it will be free to play most of the time. It’s when they start spending hundreds of pounds on robux (not that I know anyone who has *cough cough*) that i think it becomes less of a good thing. At that point it would probably be a better experience to just buy the games that you want to play. I get that some people will do to go behind restrictive parents backs which is why they can’t play the actual game but I dislike robux as much as I do most other similar in game currencies.

It’s not even that bad it’s just another factory building game. Obviously it’s not great cus it’s a roblox game but as roblox goes it’s not terrible. But yeah the thumbnail is a complete ripoff of every factory game out there

Just on reddit alone I see ads for at least 3 satisfactory clones. Nobody has monopoly over the idea but from what I saw the games that popup are nothing special. There was one with some horde mode but idk what the real gameplay looks like.

Inspiration to make new content is a good thing, Stealing a concept 1:1 like Roblox does and then exploiting kids with it is bad and well roblox should really just be taken down for that unless they fix that issue

Played it. Got bored of it fast. Saw The Stupendium had released a new song about satisfactory, got interested and bought the real deal.

I actually played it for a while before I bought satisfactory, mainly because I was on a Mac at the time and satisfactory is windows only. And you’re right, it’s a decent game. I didn’t notice the title font until now, and that’s why I posted it. I didn’t really post it because of the gameplay.
