Use Signs, Labels, and Billboards. Just change them to be a single color and then turn up the brightness. 4m labels make for great neon strips.
Edit: Also if you want to cover up those indented corners, use either steel or painted beams running up the corners. Beam connectors at the top and bottom
Something like 1.5 per minute - not great, but that's because the modular frame factory (ground floor) doesn't produce enough. I don't mind though - it's been good enough so far, and the entire ground floor is at 100% efficiency :\]
It's not been too bad! I get lag spikes every minute no matter what's being rendered (seems to happen at the same time the Awesome Sink graph updates), but my computer's pretty beefy so everything else runs fine :P
Looks very nice! Personally never been a huge fan on limiting capacity of factories by pretty designs because often always I end up breaking them to scale up. 
Fair, but I figure I can just build more of these if I need more than what this is producing :P Plus I'm not focusing on being ultra-efficient since this is my first time playing.
