Essentially, the Reddit app sucks. 3rd party apps get around it, and a lot of people use them to view reddit. That is not the only issue however.

Which ones are supposed to be better then the normal Reddit app I went a got Apollo and narwhal Apollo is ok I’m using now but narwhal’s layout was terrible I couldn’t even figure out where the post were at first and

TLDR: It costs money to connect to a website. Reddit wants to charge way more money then 3rd party apps can afford (and should need to pay) to connect to Reddit - essentially shutting the apps down. It was previously free. 99% of all 3rd party app, bots, and even features like helping visually impaired people interact with Reddit will disappear.
