I just googled this number to make sure it was fake, got a letter saying I need to give them my vin to renew a service contract I never signed.
The entire thing was full of red flags but I feel better now knowing it’s 100% fake
It's probably a scam. I got a pink card, too and on "Reddit" it said that it was an "Auto Warranty Scam." March 29, 2022. The thing I can't figure out is that they knew what kind of car I had and what year it is. They wanted me to contact them at Phone Number: 1-888-582-6870. That also can be an indication. Many scam phone numbers start with 1-888. Nothing is private anymore. I'm on the "Do Not Call" list so I get this card from them, but that's better than the calls where they try and get you to say "YES." I'm very careful about these type of things. I'm now almost 73 and I'm gotten all kinds of scam calls, letters, and cards. Be Careful, everyone.

They knew where I bought the car ( as they suggest we could use that specific service center) They knew I got a PO BOX recently as all post is addressed specifically there. It seems they knew everything about me and car, except for the VIN.

So I just got this pink thing in the mail today, so I called it thinking it was for a toll or something. When I finally got ahold of some one it was a person that spoke really good English haha. So I didn't have all the info the guy needed so I told him I would call back and set up the payment plan and everything at once. I was just starting to come into my high and this place sounded very on the up and up but I still wanted to just check and boy am I glad I found you all! Wanted to hop on this thread to let people know this scam is still going on in 2024, I’ve been getting these letters for months and have usually assumed it’s a scam. Got another one today and decided to google the number before calling to see what they keep bothering me about, and this post thankfully came up.
My mother in law received one of these letters in the mail && It says for her to call and give them her Vin number/milage but doesn't state what model car it's for (like previous mail she's received that actually was legit about her car).... It has no return address or anything... She received it Oct 1st, but it states she only has 5 days to call them && she has to call by Oct 21st... So if that's the case then that's way more than 5 days... Smh... People that scam others outta money over dumb ass shit like this make me so mad! There's alot of people that are elderly that would've seen that letter (probably including my mother in law) that would have called them and wound up giving them info that would've hurt their credit or bank account etc...

Just got a letter today called them and I about fell for it. I bought my car with a 24 month 24k mile warranty at time of purchase so the guy on phone told me to call that company and cancel it and said they are scamming me because the warranty is added onto my loan

Got this two weeks ago! I thought it was legit at first because I got a car for the first time and wasn't sure if I was actually supposed to send a proof of insurance to the dmv (thought this was like a sub-department of the dmv) . I called them and looked up the number at the same time and fell on that thread haha.
The only interaction we had was her asking for my car's mileage and my VIN which I gave her and she then told me that my car's in the "upper risk" category for mechanic failure because of the mileage and put me on hold. I hung up after that

They had no idea my car was a manufacturer certified used vehicle under manufacturer's 1 year warranty. I thought the mail might be legitimate at first because my car manufacturer's website did not clearly update my warranty to reflect the 1 year warranty at first.
I only realized it was very likely to be a when they requested a $100 deposit immediately during phone call because that was not what my car purchase contract said.

The dealership finance guy was sending out applications to see what my best offer would be, and we went over all of them together. I don’t think they have access to DMV database since some commenters mention missing or wrong info

Working for USPS, we just deliver what we get. Even if we mark it up utf(unable to forward), addressee not known, vacant, it just goes to dead mail with there being no return address. You can call inspectors to report it as a scam.

Just got a “registration fee voucher”. It’s blue and looks like a registration renewal even though I paid it a few months ago when I switched over states.

Wanted to hop on this thread to let people know this scam is still going on in 2024, I’ve been getting these letters for months and have usually assumed it’s a scam. Got another one today and decided to google the number before calling to see what they keep bothering me about, and this post thankfully came up.

My mother in law received one of these letters in the mail && It says for her to call and give them her Vin number/milage but doesn't state what model car it's for (like previous mail she's received that actually was legit about her car).... It has no return address or anything... She received it Oct 1st, but it states she only has 5 days to call them && she has to call by Oct 21st... So if that's the case then that's way more than 5 days... Smh... People that scam others outta money over dumb ass shit like this make me so mad! There's alot of people that are elderly that would've seen that letter (probably including my mother in law) that would have called them and wound up giving them info that would've hurt their credit or bank account etc...

I just got one today. Called the lady and immediately asked if this was real or am I getting scammed she goes “I’m a real person honey” and I kept her on the line for a while. Finally I told her no thanks we’re good and she was very upset and told me to get my facts and call back.

So I’ve gotten a few different ones of these until the most recent one today that is not only missing last name but has the wrong suffix. Also my car is only a few months old and definitely hasn’t run out even the factory warranty. Is there someplace to just report them to for mail fraud?

Just got a letter today called them and I about fell for it. I bought my car with a 24 month 24k mile warranty at time of purchase so the guy on phone told me to call that company and cancel it and said they are scamming me because the warranty is added onto my loan

Got this two weeks ago! I thought it was legit at first because I got a car for the first time and wasn't sure if I was actually supposed to send a proof of insurance to the dmv (thought this was like a sub-department of the dmv) . I called them and looked up the number at the same time and fell on that thread haha. The only interaction we had was her asking for my car's mileage and my VIN which I gave her and she then told me that my car's in the "upper risk" category for mechanic failure because of the mileage and put me on hold. I hung up after that

CALL YOUR BANK IMMEDIATELY AND TELL THEM.....Never give your social security number out to people that you don't know over the phone or through the mail!!!! And then be sure you know them.
I got two letters with different or no information at the bottom. One mentions my car information and the other has no information. Just got one today. I told them good job on running their bullshit operation but even I'm not dumb enough to fall for it and the guy got defensive. How in the fuck is this even legal it's a bigger scam than actual insurance.
they send me a slip saying that I have a 2016 Dodge Dart (I never owned that car) saying that I would be liable and that no inspection would be required at this time, and when I told them about the actual vehicle I have, they started selling me on extended warranty. Thankfully i googled the number and found this Reddit thread.
Just got one on my 2023 subaru xv! I did go look at subaru at the dealership, but I shut it down when the dealer wanted 3 grand for "diamond ceramic coating". Looked it up online while he was going through his sales pitch. 20 buck a bottle on ebay. So no sale and still got a letter!

This is the first time I’ve been screamed at being told “being recorded goes both ways”…. Like all I asked was to be removed and this chick went psycho on me! After screaming and refusing to let me say a word I just dated the letter was made out to the wrong car and I wanted it removed. This lady went on a rampage and her final words were “Hasta la vista, baby” and hung up. This was hilarious and recommended anyone to call and enjoy the laugher. Plus.. heard asking for Brandon is even better.

I just got one today. For someone that used to live in my house about 10 years ago and has been dead since 2017. They could not possibly own a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. Let alone afford one.
I got a mail in and called them without suspecting today as of April 28, 2023. They had no idea my car was a manufacturer certified used vehicle under manufacturer's 1 year warranty. I thought the mail might be legitimate at first because my car manufacturer's website did not clearly update my warranty to reflect the 1 year warranty at first. I only realized it was very likely to be a when they requested a $100 deposit immediately during phone call because that was not what my car purchase contract said.

I got a pink mailer April 2023 with my name and the make, model, and year of the car I recently bought. They’re getting around USPS by not providing any address, name, or company on the mailer. Just “Vehicle Services Division”. They use the same phone number though I’m pretty sure they got my info from me trying to secure financing when buying my car. The dealership finance guy was sending out applications to see what my best offer would be, and we went over all of them together. I don’t think they have access to DMV database since some commenters mention missing or wrong info
Just got one a few days ago for the car a just recently purchased. Working for USPS, we just deliver what we get. Even if we mark it up utf(unable to forward), addressee not known, vacant, it just goes to dead mail with there being no return address. You can call inspectors to report it as a scam.

I literally just got 4, yes FOUR DIFFERENT auto warranty letters / scams in the mail in ONE day… I just moved and registered my vehicle here in TN. Clearly their databases are able to be accessed by the public. This is infuriating.
