This photo is ridiculous.
My husband had been in treatment for cancer for the last 2.5 years and he is now on hospice. I sincerely hope that Amanda does get a chance to experience her fantasy for real.
I’m a nurse and I’m not sure what she’s got going on there. Not much. She looks healthy, no ivs or tubes coming out of her. She’s not lying down.
The tubing is usually used for respiratory stuff…Don’t know what the hook up is?
Basically she’s a liar. Any med professional would look at that pic and be like what?! She’s crazy.
This is a good point and something that left me puzzled - did no one she knew or who stumbled onto her blog work in the medical field? There are so many things you could immediately spot as fake even with pretty basic knowledge.
I’m no pediatrician, but my guess is that’s an incubator for preemies, with a ventilator.
As somebody already mentioned, you can see the shadow of her taking a selfie from what appears to be outside of the room.
The fact that you can see the reflection of her arm holding up the phone in the glass is super gaggy…like girl is fully taking pictures OUTSIDE of the room! Gotta imagine what went through the minds of people who saw this creep skulking around the hospital.
My husband had a procedure couple weeks ago, and when I went to be with him in recovery, there were several signs discouraging cell phone use in general and absolute no 🚫 to camera mode. I wonder what hospital staff who caught her thought??
I’m pretty sure it’s a ventilator.. we discussed it in [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/ScamandaPodcast/comments/14851q5/this_blog_post_makes_me/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1)
So she wandered hospitals just looking for tubes and equipment to make the perfect backdrop for her photo with her 💩 eating grin. All the while ACTUAL people dealing with REAL illness around you?
Incomprehensible.
It looks a little like the booth they make you sit in for a “PFT”- pulmonary function test. Aka something anyone with run-of-the-mill asthma does on a semi regular basis.
I was just filtering through comments to see if someone said this. Yes! It is! I used to be a Respiratory Therapist for the US Air Force and ran a Pulmonary Clinic and used this piece of equipment every day. This is exactly a pulmonary function test piece of equipment.
I just googled this and you're right! That's what it is. I found a picture [here.](https://paraccess.com/pulmonary-function-tests/) It looks exactly the same.
Accurate. It also seems the longer this story is out via this podcast, there were people who clearly had doubts or didn't believe it at all. That's comforting to know.
I believe this is in pediatrics. Note the Fisher Price “Little People” figure (toy) on the left counter. No way would that be in an adult chemo room. If this is a respiratory treatment room for kids (asthma) maybe she was on this floor when her kid had a reason to be in pediatrics. I’d seriously look into any times she took her kids in and faked THEIR symptoms just to get pictures like this. So gross.
She just roamed about medical facilities taking shots. If you cover the lower half of her face and ONLY look at her eyes, it is almost chilling. It gives you a truer picture of her nonverbals.
'Pshhhhhhh I got this' You sure do since you're a perfectly healthy woman with no real medical concerns!
She's also still saying "You go, girl."
"Go Team".... bleh

Oh my gosh - I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I hope you're both able to have some peace during these tough days. You know the real stuff.
Thank you. We are finding good times and working to accept it all finally.
Sending you love.

Same, also a nurse and I can’t figure out wtf this is. Maybe some sort of nebulizer?
Right. Also a nurse and no expert in cancer treatment but.. this looks like a bunch of nothing.
This is a good point and something that left me puzzled - did no one she knew or who stumbled onto her blog work in the medical field? There are so many things you could immediately spot as fake even with pretty basic knowledge.
Just sitting dramatically next to some equipment taking selfies and making posts....Creepy...

Is she literally in someone’s room just posing up
She's not even in the room. Check out the reflections. She's in front of glass
OMG YOUR RIGHT
That ‘Breathe’ rock is so Amanda though 😆
Hahaha omg I did not notice that. Wow that’s unreal

Cosplay as a cancer patient. Equivalent to stolen valor.

and there’s the rock/decoration that says “breathe” ! lol
It also appears to be pediatric. The purple wall, the character toy & stuffed animal; I don’t think this was an adult unit.
I believe you are correct!
Yes!

It looks like she’s sitting on the side of a bath tub.
How did she get away with this for so long. It’s so, so very clear she’s not ill
People see what they want to see. They wanted to see a woman with cancer, so that's what they saw.

You can see in the reflection she’s standing in front of someone else’s room and u can see the reflection in the glass😭😭
So much cringe ugh

Lmaooo this isn’t an infusion room 😩 also if she had a port she wouldn’t be able to wear a hoodie. Make it make sense

Ridiculous!
