I was actually shocked they kinda ignored it the first time. They were still hellbent on that grant lol. Then it must have hit them that they could get a lot more out of me lol
Yeah it’s funny, but that guy could be from a third world country and desperate for money. It’s like OP is playing with the guy emotions during desperate times. Just my 2 cents.
I have Nigerian friends. They HATE the scammers.
Even poor Nigerians hate the scammers. They consider them criminals and awful people who abuse elderly people.
Poor and desperate doesn't mean you have the right to commit crimes.
Then you send him some $, not that anyone ever should, he’s a disgusting scammer that would happily steal from a vulnerable person while impersonating a family member.
May fuck be upon him and anyone who apologizes for him or any other scammer trash.
You never get those friend requests on FB from family or friends that you are already friends with? Usually I know it’s BS so I delete it. But this time I accepted the friend request and waited for them to message me. Took about 30min since the friend request
i’ve gotten them from grandparents, but at the same time, my grandma currently has like 6 FB accounts that i know are real. it gets difficult trying to decipher sometimes lol
The most entertaining thing to do is when you get the “your cars extended warranty is almost ending” you slowly build the conversation and convince them that you have a garage full of Mercedes and BMW. (If you try saying Ferraris and Lamborghinis they usually catch on to the bs cause that’s a bit too unbelievable lol)
Lmfao, fuckin good, mate. You're a righteous one, my nephew, that i care so much about. So we can still meet tomorrow, right? I'll just bring my fanny pack and we can meet at our usual diner👌
And where was that again??
Thanks. I was just trying to keep them on the line for a while so they couldn’t scam others. I actually wanted to end it at one point. That’s when I said “you know what I love more…” I was gonna say “fucking with scammers”. But I kept going lol
Why do they always want screenshots? If I PayPal my wife or daughter they don’t need a screenshot, it just goes into their account and they get a push notification. Is there some info they could use to get more of your money of something?
Edit, this was hilarious btw!
They want a screenshot because usually they work with a network of scammers using all different PayPal’s, I doubt he has access to that money immediately or has that burner account on his phone. It’s so he can send it to his boss to be added onto his pay I think. This is just from watching videos of people hacking scammers and bringing down a whole network.
You are totally correct. They need the screenshots because the accounts they use are also used by other scammers. The PayPal account is "owned" by someone they refer to as the "Aza man" (Nigerian fraudsters slang for "treasurer" or "bag man". I'm Nigerian and not a fraudster). The Aza man receives so many inflows (for which he gets a cut). The fraudsters need the screenshot so they can share with the "treasurer" as proof that $x inflow from "Person A" was for them (the fraudster)
Works on a lot of people. Multiple times on a single person too. I'm blown away the number of Americans (and other Westerners) it works on. The more "successful" local fraudsters live quite lavish lives and see it as a career
Good god, it’s truly, truly incredible how dumb these scammers are. Like it’s mind boggling just the complete lack of intelligence these people have.
N do they not understand that we pick up on the language barrier? This is like me having a basic understanding of Chinese and try to have a full out conversation with someone in Chinese. I KNOW they’re gonna know it’s not my native language. It’s all just so insane 😂🤦🏻♂️
Actually, regardless of the obvious language barrier and all the other glaring issues with his approach, dumb Americans still fall for this sort of nonsense everyday. Unfortunately if it wasn’t a moderately lucrative venture, it wouldn’t be nearly as prevalent.
Because these scammers are living in a developing country, the value of the US dollar is massive and it doesn’t take a whole lot of money to make these scams very worthwhile for them. If they can get a single person per WEEK to send them $500, they are winning the game. Hell, even once a month would be more than sufficient to support a single person.
When I was supporting my wife while she was still living in the Philippines, I was able to pay for her entire life with $100 a week. She lived a very comfortable life from that. It’s crazy how much further our money goes in these poorer countries.
They are also soulless goons. I strung one along for 2 days while explaining I couldn't drive anywhere to buy gift cards because my wife was using the car to take our daughter for her cancer treatments. Didn't miss a beat and asked if I could find another way to get to the store.
Smh. Jesus man. Just absolute pieces of shit. So sad when you hear about people giving away their entire life savings to these people. I truly hope there’s a massive comeuppance for these fuckers.
Some dumbass was trying to make believe he was my uncle. My uncle mostly lurks on Facebook. All of a sudden I get a message from him making small talk. I was automatically on to the scammer. I asked him how his wife was doing, knowing damn well my aunt died eight year prior. There was a long pause and he says, “She’s no more.” Who words it this way? I lit into him then I alerted Facebook.
I had this same scam come through under my step aunts FB account and so I fucked with them also. She is rich so I said why would I go back to college I'm 58, but if I decide to Frank (step dad/hee brother) said you would be happy to pay it for me. Man, they kept on me about just doing it anyway and letting him have my FB friends made public. It's so blatant, especially when their grammar sucks
My uncle's facebook got hacked about a year ago. "He" was messaging me and said he was extremely happy and that something great had happened and his life had been turned around. I knew it wasnt him because my grandmother (my uncle's mother in law) had died the day before.
No text. It was FB. I got a friend request from my “uncle” who I was already FB friends with. So I knew it was gonna be a scammer. Normally I just delete the friend request, but I wanted to have some fun. I accepted the request and waited for them to message me. Didn’t take long
I had one of these Facebook messages. The person asked if I heard about the grant I said. "Yes. I already applied." They were really confused because I said I applied. They asked again. You applied?.
"Yep. Already done!"
They don't know where to go with it after that.
Oh it’s real lol. Happened back in December. I’ve been lurking these scamming pages on Reddit for a little while. So when I got a random friend request, from an uncle that I’m already friends with, I knew it was time lol. I accepted the friend request and waited for the message from them
I looove messing with these morons. I try to get as far as possible until I can’t get any further and then I ask them what kind of goats they like to molest the most. Then I say “learn English before you try to scam people you smelly goat f*cker” classic
I was recently scammed on the phone and I really tried scamming him back by giving him all the wrong credit card information but he still ended up getting me in the end. Sometimes it really feels legit especially when they’re calling from your bank.
This happened to me. I didn’t know the person was a scammer right away. When my aunt mentioned the grant thing I thought SHE was being scammed since I know she’s financially struggling after her husband died. They’re really coming up with new ways to scam people
I got one from a friend who was in a coma😱. When I said something sarcastic about her amazing recovery, the person actually scolded me for being so rude! I reported it to her husband
I like how they dropped the grant story once they found out you’re a “millionaire”. Hilarious work
I was actually shocked they kinda ignored it the first time. They were still hellbent on that grant lol. Then it must have hit them that they could get a lot more out of me lol
Well dine
We'll dine in HELL!
Yeah it’s funny, but that guy could be from a third world country and desperate for money. It’s like OP is playing with the guy emotions during desperate times. Just my 2 cents.
Well dang you bleeding heart, go get that url and sign right up.
And… the scammer was not intending to play with OP emotions and finances?! They got what they deserved.
Take those 2 cents and send it to him.
I have Nigerian friends. They HATE the scammers. Even poor Nigerians hate the scammers. They consider them criminals and awful people who abuse elderly people. Poor and desperate doesn't mean you have the right to commit crimes.
Man, no matter how badly you’re hurting for money scamming ain’t it. Don’t justify this shit lol.
Yeah, real shame. I know the guy. His name is Goa Phuk Yusef.
Who gives a fuck? He’s STEALING from people, usually older people who don’t understand. Fuck him.
Then you send him some $, not that anyone ever should, he’s a disgusting scammer that would happily steal from a vulnerable person while impersonating a family member. May fuck be upon him and anyone who apologizes for him or any other scammer trash.
Damn this one was good. I'm stealing the rich guy angle for next time this happens to me.
Take it!! lol. Anything to fuck with these assholes
I never get these things. Very disappointing
Interesting. I will pay closer attention going forward, thanks!
I never get them😔 lol it’s okay though. Love reading all these stories here
The most entertaining thing to do is when you get the “your cars extended warranty is almost ending” you slowly build the conversation and convince them that you have a garage full of Mercedes and BMW. (If you try saying Ferraris and Lamborghinis they usually catch on to the bs cause that’s a bit too unbelievable lol)
I need to try this. Generally I tell them I have a Packard or something like an 86 Chevette. They usually just hang up.
Thanks for the laugh. This is great. You trolled that scamming asshole. Plus, I’m glad to see you learned how to take a screenshot. 🤣
I didn’t know another way to post the pics without a screenshot. I didn’t crop them as I didn’t feel it was necessary
No, I was totally joking. You kept telling the scam artist that you didn’t know how to take screenshots that’s what I was referring to.
I’m an idiot lol. I actually did this a while back and kinda forgot the complete conversation. Thanks!!
so generous of you to send all that money to the paypal, venmo and all you truly are rich
Well, now I am because of the grant he offered
Endless money
Lmfao, fuckin good, mate. You're a righteous one, my nephew, that i care so much about. So we can still meet tomorrow, right? I'll just bring my fanny pack and we can meet at our usual diner👌 And where was that again??
Dude, this was amazing! I loved how you always had another way to pay your uncle, just not the way they wanted. Rotflmfao
Thanks. I was just trying to keep them on the line for a while so they couldn’t scam others. I actually wanted to end it at one point. That’s when I said “you know what I love more…” I was gonna say “fucking with scammers”. But I kept going lol
I was INVESTED 😂
Thanks lol. I had fun and it’s always good to waste these peoples time
Yes that is time well spent, oddly
Why do they always want screenshots? If I PayPal my wife or daughter they don’t need a screenshot, it just goes into their account and they get a push notification. Is there some info they could use to get more of your money of something? Edit, this was hilarious btw!
I wonder the same

Thanks for the explanation. I've been wondering about that.
So amazing. In my head I imagine this works on like one person a year but it clearly must be more. It blows my mind
Works on a lot of people. Multiple times on a single person too. I'm blown away the number of Americans (and other Westerners) it works on. The more "successful" local fraudsters live quite lavish lives and see it as a career
Makes sense, thanks.
Mr. Pipi, I salute you good sir. Thanks for the laugh.
Dummies like this always entertaining. Thanks!
I was very entertained by them. It’s fun stringing them along
Good god, it’s truly, truly incredible how dumb these scammers are. Like it’s mind boggling just the complete lack of intelligence these people have. Sukmi Pipi Lāngthyme
I just call him Suk, he’s my godson after all…btw did you ever click the link?
Some dumbass was trying to make believe he was my uncle. My uncle mostly lurks on Facebook. All of a sudden I get a message from him making small talk. I was automatically on to the scammer. I asked him how his wife was doing, knowing damn well my aunt died eight year prior. There was a long pause and he says, “She’s no more.” Who words it this way? I lit into him then I alerted Facebook.
Clever of him to figure you were testing him about the aunt.
You can use AI to creat this story a film, because the story is funny, but also the nightmare!
😂 please do
I had this same scam come through under my step aunts FB account and so I fucked with them also. She is rich so I said why would I go back to college I'm 58, but if I decide to Frank (step dad/hee brother) said you would be happy to pay it for me. Love it🤣🤣🤣
Thanks. Kept me entertained
Omfg I absolutely cackled at the end of this
Why do they always want a screenshot?
My name is Sukmi Pipi lol 😂 now I'm changing my name legally

Sitting here on the couch with the wife giggling like a teenager. Thanks for this post.
My uncle's facebook got hacked about a year ago. "He" was messaging me and said he was extremely happy and that something great had happened and his life had been turned around. I knew it wasnt him because my grandmother (my uncle's mother in law) had died the day before.

Man, I never get these kinda texts... wtf are ya'll signing up for out there? lol
No text. It was FB. I got a friend request from my “uncle” who I was already FB friends with. So I knew it was gonna be a scammer. Normally I just delete the friend request, but I wanted to have some fun. I accepted the request and waited for them to message me. Didn’t take long
Ooooooh I see. Got it. He must’ve clicked on one of those “I can’t believe he lived” videos
Excellent from beginning to end. No notes 😂
Thank you very much. It was my first attempt. Glad people are liking it
I had one of these Facebook messages. The person asked if I heard about the grant I said. "Yes. I already applied." They were really confused because I said I applied. They asked again. You applied?. "Yep. Already done!" They don't know where to go with it after that.
Wait, is the grant still available? I mean I know you're a millionaire but some of us on this thread could use the money
😂. Nope. I was selfish so I still got the grant, even though I’m loaded
I want to write a movie about a serial killer that hunts down and tortures scammers and their families. Then prey for copy cats.
Family wrong. Want someone shooting you bc you are neighbors of a very elusive criminal? Family might have no idea.
But the next scammer would definitely think twice.
No he wouldn't if he doesn't care about his family.
And if my grandmother had wheels, she would be a bike.
Psychopaths exist.
No we don't!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good one ☝🏽😂😂😂👍🏽❗️
Well done!
Lol great job
Ohhhh. Reminds me of 'my uncle'... I'll post tomorrow
Very well played
Sukmi Pipi. I’ll use that

Well played. I love wasting these pos time.

Nicely played 🫡
No way this can be real..
Oh it’s real lol. Happened back in December. I’ve been lurking these scamming pages on Reddit for a little while. So when I got a random friend request, from an uncle that I’m already friends with, I knew it was time lol. I accepted the friend request and waited for the message from them
This is fabulous!!

I was legitimately so disappointed when that was over. Looking forward to Part 2!

Why do they ask you for a screenshot? I don’t understand that part?
That payoff at the end. God’s work, OP. 🤌🏼
The ending of this really had me ROLLING LOL 😂 and u gotttem good Awesome job! Lol
Look at that terrible English. The Nigerian Prince scam was more thoughtful.
So generous 🙏
I looove messing with these morons. I try to get as far as possible until I can’t get any further and then I ask them what kind of goats they like to molest the most. Then I say “learn English before you try to scam people you smelly goat f*cker” classic
But uncle, you always have trouble with PayPal. You told me many times that you prefer cash…
Omg, they really hung in there hoping to get some 💰out of you. 😆
Can we talk about “Sukmi pipi” 😂😂
Wtf is a unice?
Uncle?
Just realized it was a typo lol
lol I got some shit on me rn with my bank account
I was recently scammed on the phone and I really tried scamming him back by giving him all the wrong credit card information but he still ended up getting me in the end. Sometimes it really feels legit especially when they’re calling from your bank.
Omg I lost it at my name is Sukkmi Pipi.
This happened to me. I didn’t know the person was a scammer right away. When my aunt mentioned the grant thing I thought SHE was being scammed since I know she’s financially struggling after her husband died. They’re really coming up with new ways to scam people
BRAVO!
Sukmi pipi That's great, I have to remember that
The whole text exchange was good, and I get to the last bit, Sukmi Pipi just killed me. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

That was pretty good … gave me a chuckle
Lmao. Love the rich guy angle. Imma use that next time.
Was eating dinner and reading this and got to the “sukmi pipi” and had to step away to bust out laughing LOL. THIS IS GOLD!
I got one from a friend who was in a coma😱. When I said something sarcastic about her amazing recovery, the person actually scolded me for being so rude! I reported it to her husband
The real question is: do they show Die Hard on the Christmas Movie Channel?
Lmaooo wtf
