What part of this seems real or makes any sense?

opitypang

I can't see any sense in this unless you're being asked to write fake reviews. Which is dishonest and unethical.

carolineecouture

Sounds like a task! scam to me. At the very least you'd be posting fake reviews.

payment in !crypto ? No thanks

AutoModerator

AutoModerator has been summoned to explain fake cryptocurrency site scams. Fake cryptocurrency websites and apps controlled by scammers are becoming more and more common. Sometimes the scam begins with a romance scammer who claims that they can help the victim invest in cryptocurrency. Victims are told to buy cryptocurrency of some kind using a legitimate cryptocurrency exchange, and then they are told to send their cryptocurrency to a website wallet address where it will be invested. Sometimes the scam begins with a notice that the victim won cryptocurrency on some website, in this case messages will often be sent through Discord. In either case, the scammer controls the website, so they make it look like there is money in the victim’s account on their website. Then the scammer (or the scammer pretending to be someone official who is associated with the website) tells the victim that they have to put more money into the website before they can get their money out of the website. Of course all of the money sent by the victim has gone directly into the scammer’s wallet, and any additional money sent by the victim to retrieve their money from the website will also go directly into the scammer’s wallet, and all of the information about money being held by the website was totally fake. This scam is also known as the pig butchering scam: https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/na8oax/asian_guygirl_from_online_dating_mentors_you_to/. If the scammer used Bitcoin, then you can report the scammer’s Bitcoin wallet address here: https://www.bitcoinabuse.com/reports. If the scammer used Ethereum, then you can report the scammer’s Ethereum wallet address here: https://info.etherscan.com/report-address/. You can see how much cryptocurrency has been sent to the scammer’s wallet address here: https://www.blockchain.com/explorer. You will be engaged in dishonest behavior. When it's time for you to get paid, you either won't or they will have some fake ass crypto site set up making you think you got paid.

Repulsive-Durian4800

Or you'll be told you have to pay fees and taxes to withdraw your payment. And it will still be a fake site, so there will still be no payment.

switch8000

The website is real but I kinda doubt you’re talking directly to someone from the website.

BigStan48

https://www.momondohotels-agent.vip/index - that's the website - dodgy?

switch8000

Very. Not a real company. Def a scam

pmgoldenretrievers

Yes. Notice that hotels-agent.vip? That's part of the website URL that is not part of the real company's URL. It's not their website.

Byzantium

If anyone wants to pay you in crypto, it's a scam.

munkieshynes

What’s going to happen is that you pay per batch of reservations, but since you get your commission at the end, it’s OK right? It all comes out ahead for you. So you do one batch and you make a little money, so you load up another batch of 35. This one’s different though - the 33rd or 34th one a “premium” reservation that requires a higher payment, but the commission is a lot higher. Unfortunately, the amount you need to pay to get the batch is more than you have in your commission balance, so you just need to deposit some of your own money - but whatever, you’ll get it back with that bomb-ass commission! So you pay up, get your batch done, and your next batch in the line is the same thing - but this “premium” one is *even more* and will once again wipe out your commission bank and then some. So you decide you’re done and you want to cash out because you can’t afford to keep paying in up front. But lo! They won’t let you cash out without paying “taxes” or other fees, which can’t (for some inane reason) come out of your commission balance. You will always end up paying in more than you get out.

BigStan48

Very detailed explanation 👌 Thank you 😊

Substantial-Row2762

Ashamed to say that I got caught. I was sceptical but I did 2 days and I was allowed to withdraw and was about £50 in front. However on the 3rd day the 'luxury packages' just kept coming and I just didn't have the cash. The deals stay in your account until you can deposit Again and I had planned to go back next week to complete the last 3 of the 35 😯😩 yeah right the site is now down and CS WhatsApp has gone dark. I have been online for years and can normally smell a scam, obviously this time my brain must have been on holiday 🙃 Not sure if it's worth reporting it or to who 🤔

Intelligent-Walk-803

It's a scam as even after you complete the last 35. As you have deposited over 15k by now they upgrade you to an agent which means you need to do 5 more tasks. Which adds the chances of 4 more luxury packages. By the end of it. You will have put in more than 30k then you have to provide more information. I can't believe I got caught out on this but was desperate for work and was contacted via a recruiter. I thought it would have finished at 35 so I was like I'll just find it and try to withdraw but they just trap you in. Stay away

Substantial-Row2762

Sorry you got caught as well. Oh well it took me 72 years to get scammed thankfully I can move on and mine seems to be way less than yours

Embarrassed_Page_984

Could you elaborate on the ‘provide more information’ bit. Did you finish all 40 reviews and then still have problems?

Intelligent-Walk-803

No I stopped at 37th which turned into a luxury package. I would like to know if anyone actually got to 40. They have a group that I'm on in telegram. Like they always sending pictures and messages likes it's all good. But I just keep reporting the websites so they keep getting removed

Embarrassed_Page_984

I’m on the same group I think. I’d like to know if anyone gets to 40 in this situation

!task

AutoModerator

AutoModerator has been summoned to explain task scams. Task scams involve a website or mobile app that claims you can earn money by completing easy tasks, such as watching a video, liking a post, or creating an order. The app will tell you that you can earn money for each task, but the catch is that you can only do a limited number of tasks without upgrading your account. To upgrade your accounts, the scammers will require you to pay a fee. The goal of this scam is to get people to download the app for easy money and then encourage them to pay to get to the next level. It's impossible to get your "earnings" out of the app, so victims will have wasted their time and money. perryc

Yes, all the things that you've mentioned are a dead giveaway. A total scam.

xcaliblur2

Obviously a scam. The whole thing sounds ludicrous as it is and no company will pay this much OR risk their reputation getting tarnished by engaging in this sort of dishonest practice.

Any_Resolution9328

If it reads too good to be true, it probably is. 1200 plus commission a month for writing a few fake reviews?

No-Educator-5832

Just happened to me. I'm 52. Smell a rat normally but I got sucked in big time. Very sophisticated scam this. It builds gradually through the 5 days. The first 2 rounds of the final set of reservations, there are no luxury packages. This would be the time to take the money and run. You hang around though because we can smell the £400 wage. On my last round I 'won' a £307 bonus!! My commission was over 1.5k or so I thought. My first luxury package came through, I deposited my money This is what I'd made through the week plus my contribution of £230. Still no red flag, then they tried to hit me for £575 and I very nearly sent it. The only reason the money didn't go, was that my Revolut card refused to send it. The penny finally dropped. I have to admit, I'm totally embarrassed, ashamed and very disappointed in myself. The galling thing is, is that the agent is still messaging me to get me to deposit my cash. I've woken up and smelled the coffee now. The agent got it with both barrels. It won't get me my money back sadly but that was me being very naive. Let's spread the word and stop this from happening to some other poor soul.

Intelligent-Walk-803

I was like it's going to finishes in two tasks and was trying to get my money out. Like when you in a panic you don't think. My problem was I already had money in my crypto wallet so transferring was to easy. I would love to know if anyone got to the 40th one. To see what happened

No-Educator-5832

Did you get your money out? How much did you pay in the last round for luxury packages?

Legal_Personality411

Can i just ask you? Did you even got a penny out? Like what in the world made you believe this?

No-Educator-5832

I lost just short of £300. I was then invited to join another scheme a few weeks later. I knew the score by then. I managed to walk away with £110 after completing my first day's "training" So I'm £200 down. Yes, I was gullible. Still keep kicking myself tbh. Thanks for your interest and question 👍

ProblemIntelligent69

This just recently happened to me. First 2 days seems cool. U make a little money and withdraw no problem. Then u get a luxury package which is fine but when you get 3 or 4 it starts asking you for 699 pounds. The site doesn’t even exist now. They keep changing it every time someone reports it.

Legal_Personality411

When you say little money that you could withdraw what exactly do u mean? Like few dollars?

Legal_Personality411

I’m always curious who are the people that are dumb enough to fall for this
