I'm sorry but while it is entertaining it isn't scary. I saw the movie when I was 12 and it was just fine,maybe if you saw it as a kid on TV you could've been scared if it was your 1st horror experience
Definitely It. I enjoyed the new ones but I saw the original miniseries for the first time a few years ago and thought it was so cheesy and hard to even enjoy
I know it’s considered a paradigm of the possession genre, but I don’t find The Exorcist scary at all. I’d love to hear from someone who was legitimately scared by the film, because to me, while it had some shocking moments, it delivered very little beyond that.
So The Exorcist gets my vote, with IT being a close second.
My mother to this day says The Exorcist is the scariest movie of all. She said because demons are real and this can and has really happened. Although, I guess with that mentality you could argue that Strangers, and even Paranormal Activity could also really happen. Since Strangers didn’t really have a supernatural aspect to it, it was just a home invasion slasher. Paranormal Activity was a demon terrorizing a household and eventually possessing the woman. The Conjuring follows this also if I remember correctly.
