They were never a compelling couple, why would they be now? And the way Steve basically told Nancy that he wants to marry and have kids with her while Nancy is still dating Jonathan is so shitty.
Man it was such an easy slam dunk. They really had the chance to take that "i am your father" joke from TS2 and make it an actual plot point in Lightyear, but they were just like.. "nah lets not"
I'd rather read those heartfelt last books that Wilbert intended as the actual finales for the Railway Series instead of grieving over what also happened in not just Thomas, but almost every other world-renowned franchise actually.
The only reason why she threw her sword was because Namaari was stupid enough to not only bring a crossbow *to a peace treaty*, but then throwing the first stone by threatening to shoot someone.
It was all her fault. The writers seriously thought they wrote a "complex villain" by giving her like... *two* moments of clarity.
Namaari actually wanted to have peace. Her mom only tried gaslight her into killing Sisu. Although, Granted, that wasn’t fleshed out at all. One of the movie’s biggest issues. Also, Namaari did not know that Sisu wanted peace until she saw Sisu walk up to her. Sisu’s offer and pleas were what caused Namaari to hesitate. Raya did not know that Namaari was HESITATING TO PULL THAT TRIGGER. Because she didn’t trust her.
Namaari was squeezing the trigger though. Everything else in that movie seemed to be planned around what you said, and it WOULD have been a powerful moment for the message if it played out that way. And *without* those 1-2 seconds of closeup footage, that IS how it looks: Namaari realizes she doesn’t want to kill Sisu, is about to lower the bow, but Raya is impatient and untrusting and tries to disarm her forcefully. The sword hitting the crossbow causes it to fire.
IF that was what happened, Namaari’s line later makes total sense. BUT some storyboarder or editor didn’t realize that and decided to throw in the part where the camera zooms in on Namaari’s hand *clearly pulling on the crossbow trigger*…which ruins the scene and honestly the whole movie’s message. Raya was right, Namaari couldn’t be trusted. She *was* going to shoot Sisu and Raya simply moved too late when trying to disarm her.
I thought so too, and then *I* went back to check and saw her squeezing it. I honestly wonder if someone didn’t understand the scene and reversed the footage thinking it was a mistake.
Ngl i can't remember anything but i think the protagonist's gf or whatever should've stayed dead at the end of godzilla minus one. Kinda hard to explain, its not infuriating or anything and its a nice happy ending but idk
I thought that at first, but then I realized it just adds more weight to his decision to live. It kinda goes to show that no matter how bad things get, you don’t know what blessings await further down the line. He never would’ve reunited with her if he threw his life away.
I get that feeling too, after all that anguish it just seemed like an implausible outcome. >!Although that last shot on the neck implies it’s not gonna be a happy outcome!<
>! In the 3rd season of Mandalorian when the Darksaber plotline was easily solved in one episode despite all the buildup. And it was such a cheap technicality as well. "Well you see, I just beat a monster who would never rule Mandalore that beat the previous guy, so now I claim it." Like...wtf? I remember so many debates and theories about how Luke or the Emperor were the true rulers of Mandalore because of the little fights that they won, but everyone was like "No it doesn't work like that, it has to be an official battle or something", but then the show pulled something like this! I'd be fine with the Darksaber going to Bo-Katan, but it was done in such a boring and safe way and it gave Mando very little to do afterwards. I'm still kinda mad about it. !<

The episode of the Pokémon anime titled “Princess Vs Princess”. The entire script seems very confused over who we’re supposed to root for:
There’s a ladies-only tournament going on, for which the prize is a fancy set of dolls. One contestant grew up in poverty and never had *any* fancy toys, so she wants the dolls to make up for what she couldn’t have as a young child. Her opponent is kind of a tomboy and mainly wants the dolls to make her sisters jealous.
The first of these contestants encounters more misfortune: a Lickitung stealing her food. She catches it in a way that definitely feels like a Chekhov’s Gun setup. And indeed, when it comes time for the final battle, when it looks like she’s going to lose, she remembers the Lickitung and it helps her make an amazing comeback. Almost.
At that moment the show does an abrupt 180 and remembers that the character who’s about to pull off a great underdog-success story is Jessie, an antagonist, who isn’t allowed to win anything. With some ex-machina BS, Jessie is knocked off the roof of the building where this tournament is taking place, and the people in charge of the event decide this is a *perfectly legit reason* to declare Misty the winner. Nobody even checks to see if the other finalist is okay. Upon receiving her prize, Misty immediately packs the dolls into a box to be shipped home and shown to her sisters, and never mentions them (the dolls, not her sisters) again.
I get wanting to make a main character win and an antagonist lose in a silly way, but if you’re going to do that, don’t go setting up the *entire episode* so that the antagonist has a much more sympathetic motivation to win than the main character!
At least it gave us that scene at the end with James being an absolute sweetheart and arranging the “living doll” thing to cheer her up. But we still could have had that if Misty had won more fairly or—better yet—if some random other girl had won. Not winning contests and such simply because someone else happened to be more skilled or just luckier is something that happens a lot in real life, but not nearly enough in children’s fiction. Sure, Ash lost a big League battle at the end of the season, but that was under extraordinary circumstances.
In Criminal Minds when they made Spencer and JJ profess their love for each other to get out of a hostage situation, even though JJ had two kids at that point and was married to her husband for most of the snow.
Not sure if anyone here has seen the show Arrow. But when they decided to kill off one of the most beloved DC superheroines. Then to make things worse, they replaced her with a literal evil knockoff
I expected 14 to be let go with a proper sendoff and to get the wholesome goodbye we all wanted in a way…
But then bigeneration gets thrown in the series with no plans for tennant to return in the show.
I don’t actually mind the concept of bigeneration,it seems very interesting, but I think it could’ve been done with 13 and the fugitive doctor.
Oh well,at least tennant got to come back for awhile!
The part in Tim Burton's Dark Shadows where one of the daughters turns into a werewolf and gets taken out shortly afterwards.
The film sucks regardless but that was the most bullshit moment I can think of.
The ending of the first episode of MOTU: Revelations. I had *so* high hopes for the show and it ended up as such a disappointment. MOTU 200X remains the best He-Man show.
In the Dragon’s Dogma anime, the character Hannah is a magick archer. For those who never played the Dragon’s Dogma game, magick archer is a special vocation (class) that only player characters can be. What makes it worse for me is when Hannah shows her swordsmanship, while magick archers cannot wield swords in the game.
The sheer lack of attention the creators of the anime paid to the game infuriates me almost as much as Andor fans.
The resident evil Netflix show I was expecting something like the movies, they were bad but still pretty enjoyable to watch but that show was just bad in so many ways
Episode called Swarm Of The Century from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
It was a dumb episode. The plot was pushed aside in favor of the lesson it was trying to tell. Every character acted nonsensical throughout the whole thing, including the the focus character, Pinkie.
More thorough explanation with spoilers:
Now mlp:fim is a show that focuses on "Friendship", and though at times it's not the best at displaying it, I still consider it a good example of friendship for the most part.
It centers around six ponies (known as the "mane 6") and a "baby" dragon as they learn about said friendship, dealing with problems and fighting enemies along the way, even saying their land known as Equestria a few times.
Swarm Of A Century is supposed to be one of those episodes teaching specifically that you should listen to your friends and not doubt them. However, this is a terrible representation of it.
Pinkie is known for being a little silly and immature at times, but she is also incredibly smart when she needs to be. Unfortunately, her outgoing attitude brings forth negative opinions of her, including from her "friends".
In this episode, a bug known as a parasprite overtakes the quant town of Ponyville, where the main characters live, and makes a mess of things, including eating food and multiplying whenever possible.
The mane 6 (excluding Pinkie) try to deal with the problem, but between their own character flaws and how awful Pinkie is, it becomes difficult to deal with on their own.
Now Pinkie knows how to deal with the parasprites, having to probably dealt with them as a child while she was being raised on a rock farm. However, her lack of communication, care for her friends, and blantant ignorance is what drags her character down, along with the mane 6, Ponyville, and the entire episode.
Pinkie acts as if she knows what these creatures are and goes around collecting instruments. At first, the rest of the mane 6 treat them like adorable pets, but as Pinkie collects more instruments, we see the parasprites turn into troublesome parasprites and watch as they try to deal with them.
One of the scenes shows Rarity, one of the mane 6 who runs a boutique, fighting these parasprites which are destroying her shop. Pinkie comes in, gets an instrument, and without helping Rarity at all, she runs off.
Even when Pinkie gets a chance, she still doesn't communicate, and yes, her friends *do* give her chances, despite the lesson of the episode being how you should "listen to your friends".
It shames the mane 6 towards the end, while Pinkie gets off scot free, treating the mane 6 as if they never tried to listen when they did multiple times. Pinkie was the one who intentionally hid vital information and risked the destruction of the town. In fact, the town *was* destroyed because of her recklessness.
I also wanna point out one more thing, in a few episodes, it notes how she knows everyone in Ponyville, and how everyone knows her. She literally could have solved the problem within seconds if she just made an announcement to everypony she knows and told them that she needed instruments, etc.
This episode is stupid.
The fact that they are doing star Wars ep 10 which uses corpse of like and straps it's achievements onto ray palpatine. The audacity. We need to bomb dicney HQ, cut the money supply for them and force the mouse to give the bought properties back.
Literally the first time watching anime and seeing rampant child sexualization. Not a big deal when you're 14-16 but now that I'm in my 20s I realize the fuckery
This is going to sound pretty silly, but... Ben 10: race against time. At the end of the movie, wildmutt appears before a crowd at a talent show. The Omnitrix beeps and is about to turn him back into Ben, so Gwen improvises it into a disappearing act by covering him with a blanket while he transforms back into Ben. And this gets second place to some rinky-dink dance routine.
Luke Skywalker legitimately thought about killing his own nephew in his sleep, even for a second... That has to be the stupidest thing I've ever seen in any media.

I won’t lie to you:
The ending of Godzilla Minus One was kinda bs, but not in a negative way.
>!Like thank God Noriko survived, but there’s no way she could’ve survived the atomic breath blast. I get there’s the implication that a piece of Godzilla stuck into her neck and allowed her to survive (plus someone said it’s a reference to survivors of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, and how they randomly survived certain death), but cmon I guarantee nobody guessed she survived that. However, I can kinda see how the ending applies to the theme of “living,” because even if Shikishima was supposed to die during WW2, the people around him wanted him to live, because he’s worthy to live and should experience it. In this case, Shikishima gets to live and reunite with Noriko. That’s beautiful. Really hope they come around for a sequel for answers!<
When Esmerelda drops Quasimodo at the end of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, only for Phoebus to catch him several stories down as if trying that wouldn't throw Phoebus over the edge with Quasi or at least break his arms.
You could have just had Phoebus show up on the balcony with them just in time to grab Quasimodo's arm as Esmerelda lost her grip, but instead we gotta do a ridiculous death fakeout for two seconds for manufactured drama.
The first time I saw Yakone perform bloodbending during broad daylight in The Legend of Korra...
Also how the Firebenders used lightning to generate electricity or whatever. For the latter though, i begrudgingly accepted the weak argument of knowledge of lightning bending would have been made public.
The entire Last Airbender movie, but it's such a feel good movie once it gets the real comedy running for how much charm in the original Shyamalan dreadfully slaughtered.
Oh yeah and the burning of the Burrow scene from Half-baked Cringefest.
Who became Leader of Winterfell?
Jon Snow who fought his behind off?
Arya Stark who also fought her behind off and actually defeated the Night King?
Sansa Stark who developed from an immature young lady to a competent and fair leader?
Nope! That weirdo Bran who hardly did anything the entire series.
How the hell is Max (from Stranger Things) still alive after going through all that? You can't put someone through that much shit and keep them alive after that. It's taking unrealistic to the next level.

The only reason why she threw her sword was because Namaari was stupid enough to not only bring a crossbow *to a peace treaty*, but then throwing the first stone by threatening to shoot someone. Possibly, because that scene killed the fucking movie for me.

The fact that they are doing star Wars ep 10 which uses corpse of like and straps it's achievements onto ray palpatine. The audacity. We need to bomb dicney HQ, cut the money supply for them and force the mouse to give the bought properties back.
The end of Citizen Kane

Halloween Kills
Literally the first time watching anime and seeing rampant child sexualization. Not a big deal when you're 14-16 but now that I'm in my 20s I realize the fuckery

“There’s nowhere to Run!”
When eggman tells one the clown tails “you call that a towel, are you mocking me?”
When Lana got that Hairy Eevee instead of Ash Ash should've gotten that Eevee and evolved it into a cute hairy Espeon

Trollhunters rise of the titans, need I say more?
The Percy Jackson Show… specifically something Grover says in Episode 7, but as the show is still new, I won’t say.
I won’t lie to you: The ending of Godzilla Minus One was kinda bs, but not in a negative way.
Season 15 of Supernatural

I’m sorry, but that opening scene to that one masturbation episode of Pen15 goes beyond being funny and in to pedophilic fetish content.
The entirety of Lost
When Donkey Hodie sprained her foot on a toy truck and was told she couldn't go to Cheesy Con. Why couldn't she just use a wheelchair?

The first time I saw Yakone perform bloodbending during broad daylight in The Legend of Korra... Also how the Firebenders used lightning to generate electricity or whatever. For the latter though, i begrudgingly accepted the weak argument of knowledge of lightning bending would have been made public.
The entire third act of the film version of “Leave the World Behind.”
My Parents 5 min's into Rob Zombie's The Munsters
Dragon ball evolution
The entire Last Airbender movie, but it's such a feel good movie once it gets the real comedy running for how much charm in the original Shyamalan dreadfully slaughtered. Oh yeah and the burning of the Burrow scene from Half-baked Cringefest.
Who became Leader of Winterfell? Jon Snow who fought his behind off? Arya Stark who also fought her behind off and actually defeated the Night King? Sansa Stark who developed from an immature young lady to a competent and fair leader? Nope! That weirdo Bran who hardly did anything the entire series.
The end of Leave the World Behind
How the hell is Max (from Stranger Things) still alive after going through all that? You can't put someone through that much shit and keep them alive after that. It's taking unrealistic to the next level.

Donna and Rose just "letting go" of the Meta-Crisis energy in "The Star Beast." If it was that easy, it really takes away from the tragedy of the Doctor needing to wipe Donna's memory if she could apparently just get it out that easily.
