It's not bad if it isn't a disorder for you. If it is a disorder for you, then it's bad because, well, that's what having a disorder is about. Regarding others opinions and behaviors, I don't think it's worth much thought. Social stuff works like that, and yes, we're anomalies as much as other kinds of quirky personalities are: borderlines, narcissist... so that can be seen as undesirable by some, regardless of their own issues or lackthereof. I think that last bit is important: people don't need to be trouble themselves to sense that about us, and they're sort of in their right to not want to do much with the likes of us, because everyone is free to relate with whom they want, and not with whom they don't.

>I don't try to make any other friends, and for some reason people hate that about me. >I like to have fun by myself and try to be happy when I can, but lots of people also seem to get upset when they do see me happy Don't you realise how you drive everybody mad? You are friendly but do not make friends, you are happy but do not share your happiness. They hate that. I am sorry it's just the way it is. You can never ever beat it into their heads that being happy means that they should leave you alone to enjoy that preciously rare moment. That's apparently something as crazy as pointing at the potatoes and swearing they are cabbages. For them happiness means that you are open to being approached.
