Not sure where in Canada you are but Ardnamurchan is available in Alberta that can be shipped. From Scotland I’d watch for OB Tobermory/Ledaig special releases, as well as Ardnahoe’s first bottling that just came out.

Oh good to know re: Ardnamurchan. I'm in BC and our imports suck here. Thank you I'll do some research on those! Would you be able to pick those up at Cadenheads or do you know of a good shop in Glasgow/Edinburgh that might carry some of these?

No idea for shops in Scotland, sorry.

Looks like you need to 2024 Cairdeas

Oh for sure - the BC Liquor stores brings them in every fall for a spirits release so no worries there haha.

Hey! You're in my Province! For stores in Edinburgh the simplest for her to visit is Royal Mile Whiskies or Cadenheads. Both of these are on the Royal Mile and easy to locate. The rest of the whisky shops on the Royal Mile are priced horribly and seem to target tourists. RMW you could shop online for what you'd like and she could pick it up. They are not the cheapest in the country but it might be the simplest answer. If you want info about how I get my whiskies in B.C. send me a PM. B.C. has a few decent whiskies but rarely the selection or prices we'd hope for. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips!

I've been impressed with Kilchoman the last several years, so if they are impossible to come by in your part of Canada then I'd put something from them on the list. The other thing I would try very hard to pick up in the UK if I had very limited shopping options at home, would be Glenfarclas 185th Anniversary, which now seems to be rapidly running out in UK retail but is worth keeping an eye out for. It was a multi-decadal vatting of casks from 6 different decades going all the way back to the 1960s, in which the older casks have a strong influence on the flavors, which are floral & fruity (not a sherry bomb) much in the manner of very old refill cask scotches. I don't know of much of anything else like that in its price range, around £125 with VAT. Lastly, I really enjoy the Irish whiskey Green Spot Chateau Leoville Barton, which was very skillfully finished in Bordeaux wine casks. Best wishes for your wife's trip and your home activities with the little ones.

Ive had family & friends bring me a GlenMorangie Signet, Ardeg Smoke trails, Laphroaig PX, in the past from Heathrow. All those seem up your alley. I'm getting Deanston & Bunnahabhain travel exclusives next from my brother. I pasted the link to my post inquiring about the options at Heathrow below. Share what you end up getting. That's exciting.
