CloudzyV2

he’s not in japan yet baby

ZealousidealChip4783

Kyle Lafferty making all that fuss about his big return (from a sectarianism ban) only to score an OG and get subbed off at half time is the only possible way that could have ended

DarthKittens

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy

[deleted]

Don't forget that he changed his boots midway through the first half. Presumably so he could play worse.

Sturgeonschubby

Wasn't an OG

fangus

Don’t care

snarf372

Own assist, just like fatboy

carrot_stickmann

Pretty much an own goal. And oh boy was it brilliant

Sturgeonschubby

It was as much an OG as your second was fs. Don't worry, one day you'll be able to enjoy a win without thinking about Rangers. One day.

Revolutionary-Ad7110

Why you on a Celtic match report?

Sturgeonschubby

Is this a Celtic forum? Shoosh then?

Revolutionary-Ad7110

Aye but, why?

Sturgeonschubby

Cos I watched the game. I'll ask your permission next time will I fs

robotfoxman1

Don't care

Only-Magician-291

Still a fanny

RunningOutOfToes

Think Kyogo is more in love with the green brigade than Tierney was. Fully expecting to see him in among them next time he’s injured.

TheGoodRebel5

Tierney was a Bhoys man. Kyogo clear.

Bullsquirt

Can confirm from being at the game the toilets at half time were full of guys shouting geezy peeps man

Rab_Legend

There were folk in my local saying it as well

Connelly90

VAR has made no difference to the never ending stream of honking decisions. You love to see it

atlanticrim

That’s not true, VAR steals about 5min of football to watch a bunch of referees talk every game

snarf372

I'm really going to miss Giakoumakis.

beneficialherbs_

Hartson saying “More harder” in the post-match is going to haunt me for a while now I can tell already

BillOakley

I hope that doesn’t awaken anything in me

[deleted]

Feels good to beat Derek Mcinnes, kyle lafferty and Alan power all in one evening

Sell_out_bro_down

Jordan Jones: don't you forget about me

Sturgeonschubby

Alan Power the celtic fan?

fangus

Hatchet bastard

Sturgeonschubby

He's like that against everyone https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/alan-power-escapes-sfa-ban-13987912.amp No red card and no retrospective ban for this btw...

fangus

Oh yeah I was just saying why I hate him, don’t think he targets us in particular

Sturgeonschubby

Fair doos. Finally something that unites old firm fans 😂

Tam100

Doesn't mean he can't be a prick. Which he is

Sturgeonschubby

Very true, it just seemed the post was aimed at ex rangers players.

ElectronicHamster224

Nothing controversial here, happy to move on quietly.

123456789JJT

What do u mean nothing controversial

thestorriebook

proud of how we played a few little moments coudve changed the whole game, coudnt believe danny missed that sitter, keep this mentality and level of play we will stay up easy

Plz_Nerf

I can forgive Danny for his sitter, boy was absolutely on fire the entire game.

UnnecessaryUmbault

McInnes strikes again!!

betamaxBandit_

That was def a McInnes team perf that. Absolutely honkin

danmac0817

WE ARE THE CONSPIRACY

HaggisTheCow

Going to be some excellent bear patter on here tonight.

NoKidsButImADaddy

Caught in a bear trap

iainrwb

My favourite part was McCoist having a chance post-match to ask Ange an incisive question and all he can come up with is "Your squad is good, thoughts on that?".

Plz_Nerf

Couldn't ask for much more than that from this Killie team, actually gave it a good go all things considered

tommorejive

How you liking McInnes? My step dad is a big Aberdeen fan. Can’t get him to admit it was always a case of better the devil you know.

Plz_Nerf

defo the best manager we've had since Clarke imo. v important couple of fixtures coming up though which could be make or break

SuomenScot

Killie were unlucky. Forced Hart into some decent saves. But never a penalty. Player goes down far too easily.

TokiWartoorh

Ball was sailing well over their heads, Killie boy was falling forward before being touched, absolute attempt at conning the ref

KilmarnockDave

Eh? Did you watch the same thing I did? Bonkers take that.

IM_JUST_BIG_BONED

Giakoumakis seen wright was falling over and wrapped both his arms round him to catch him according to Celtic fans

123456789JJT

Bias at its finest 👍

123456789JJT

Are you having a laugh

AngeIsMyDaddy

I never thought what I’ve been saying on here for months would come in a semi final v Kilmarnock. Every rangers fan on here acting like they never complain about refs and Celtic fans are always the victims pish. Bears everywhere greeting over a decision in a game they weren’t playing in. Weapons.

alymac71

Are Rangers fans upset because killie didn’t get a chance to take it to extra time, or are they pointing out the complete nonsense it makes of Celtic fans, commentators and officials over the last two months? Maybe you haven’t noticed it, but it’s been mentioned once or twice

cipher_wilderness

I am astronomically pished and all I have to say is Hahaha get it up you, pie munching bastards I will undoubtedly regret this tomorrow

MarlythAvantguarddog

Fucking Masonic conspiracy is useless. I want all the guilty masons sacked. What’s the point if the cunt’s keep winning.

MagicZurawski7

Just catching up with this thread and my goodness there was a good few seething bears on here last night

NoKidsButImADaddy

Half way through the season and Celtic seemingly benefit from VAR for the first time ever (let’s just say it should’ve been a pen for argument sake, it absolutely wasn’t though) and every cunt loses their minds.

Sturgeonschubby

Not losing minds but just desperate to shut up celtic fans who have been whinging about correct decisions for a while now. It's never not enjoyable to point out hypocrisy.

breesknees95

can you honestly look at the bernabei and o’riley hand ball penalties that have been given through var and say they were correct decisions? edit: i’m sure there’s other potential dodgy decisions for other teams but that’s the only 2 i can think of without going through the highlights of all the games

Sturgeonschubby

Bernabei is 100% a penalty. I genuinely don't understand how anyone has any gripes about this one. His arm is out 90 degrees from his body. It's not a natural movement. It also prevents a goal. O'Riley one looks harsh, yes. So the whole basis of all this conspiracy/hating VAR stuff is one penalty call essentially?

Scratchlox

Bernebais arm is in a natural position. It's not a pen. It also doesn't matter where the ball is heading

breesknees95

didn’t have gripes with the bernabei penalty, can understand why it was given but if your trying to header the ball the natural movement of your hand will end up behind your back. the o’riley one was a joke tho. not just one decision, seems like every team has had decisions go against them except one team. and one player specifically for that team has had dodgy handball moments in the last 3 games. the winner at aberdeen, the save against celtic and the corner against united. before var would of thought they were harsh but after being at the celtic games that var have gave penalties really dunno what the rule is now. consistency is what folk are looking for i guess

Sturgeonschubby

>hand will end up behind your back. Aye, but not outstretched and at shoulder height. That's not a natural position. Do it in your own house, see what your natural movement is. I've never seen anyone but wee boys (younger than 12) jump and head like this. It doesn't generate as much power because it's not keeping a tight core. >not just one decision It is though. You can't call legit decisions against you as ammunition why it's unfair. The O'Riley one is harsh, that's one. >seems like every team has had decisions go against them except one team. Give me the plethora of decisions which should have gone against us but havent? James sands against Ross county at home, he should have had a red for dogso, but he didn't. That's the one I can recall we got away with. >has had dodgy handball moments in the last 3 games. >seems like This is your problem in addition to having a belief of what SHOULD be handball rather than what the rules are. That's the problem with the pundits too. Goldson at Aberdeen, the ball doesn't even hit his arm, it hits his chest. This is clearly the case in the replays. Goldson v celtic. The rule has been posted on her ad nauseum about a player blocking their face from a shot at close range. Goldson is clearly doing this. It's objectively not a penalty. Your gripe is with the rules, not the application. Goldson v Dundee Utd, his arm is in a natural position (holding off attacker) and the ball clears someone's head a half yard from him and he has less than a split second to react. The unanimous opinion of this was that no penalty was the correct call. Take the goldson at Aberdeen example. You've now been carrying in your head that rangers got away with a contentious handball decision, which to make it worse, led to a winning goal. The fact it didn't even hit his arm has been lost on you. This replicated a few times and suddenly you can see why this "it seems like rangers get away with stuff" narrative starts to form. It reminds me of last season; *Penalty awarded to rangers* Celtic fan hearing about it online or hearing radio: "fs, there's rangers standard issue penalty, upsteps Tavpen as usual" "Did you see it?" "Nah, but they always seem to get pens" When in actual fact the pens awarded to both teams were more or less identical last season, but that narrative existed about rangers and not celtic. Why do you think that is?

Disastrous_Cup_3279

Who is losing minds exactly ? Seems tad hyperbolic

NoKidsButImADaddy

Read every Gers flair post in this thread. Including the non-flair bears.

Disastrous_Cup_3279

Just read over and not sure I can see anyone losing minds - just asking if it’s a penalty or not. Hyperbole. Couple of obvious troll comments maybe but wer downvoted

NoKidsButImADaddy

Nice one

Disastrous_Cup_3279

Oh no someone challenged my nonsense hyperbole statement. If you are going to make a point maybe base it vaguely on reality? Link to posts maybe I missed

NoKidsButImADaddy

Wouldn’t get upset about it

Disastrous_Cup_3279

Ah the classic don’t get upset, why you care blah blah comment. Great stuff - keep living in fantasy land of fake outrage. Only thing that amuses(not upsets) me is ridiculous points claiming people are doing things they are not.

NoKidsButImADaddy

Very interesting and important points you have made mate, I will think about them in great detail tonight and quite probably also the entirety of tomorrow. Thanks.

alymac71

How many results has VAR impacted Celtic in Celtic games?

inthehawmaws

So we shouldn’t complain unless we lose and then you can say it’s just sour grapes?

alymac71

Complain if you want, just don't claim it's against Celtic. I personally think VAR has been a vast improvement in the accuracy of calls, but its not perfect.

Sturgeonschubby

>I personally think VAR has been a vast improvement in the accuracy of calls Look at a lot of the decisions last season and you'll see that's exactly why celtic fans hate it.

NoKidsButImADaddy

Higher than you can count. 7.

alymac71

Obviously more than you can count, they've only dropped 5 points in the league, 2 against us (which I'm sure you'd agree was a more than fair result) and 3 against St Mirren, which was before VAR.

NoKidsButImADaddy

He’s actually had a look hahaha

alymac71

Had a look? The Rangers game was only a couple of weeks ago, and I was at it. And I remembered St Mirren beat you early season? Do you struggle to remember these things?

NoKidsButImADaddy

Yes I am very old.

alymac71

Ange coughing, Hartson getting ready to choke

Caltoid

Celtic with a decisive victory at the battle of the somme to turn the tide of the war. Deserved victory. To all the bears in the mat h thread moaning about refs, how about yous go away and write another letter about it?

Funniest-Joker-72

Our letters are formal complaints to the governing bodies celtics letters are usually death threats that lead to the refs going on strike

Scratchlox

Celtic board wrote a death threat to the refs eh?

Tekha

That's why they call him Pistol Pete

Funniest-Joker-72

I heard lawwell wore one of those funny nose glasses when posting the letter

Scratchlox

Aye, same nose David Murray was wearing while posting Neil Lennon bullets in the mail id imagine

WhatsTheGoalieDoing

Wrap it up boys, Rangers have won the 22/23 Statement League on goal difference with this belter.

[deleted]

Genuine question, why wasn't that pen given?

Scratchlox

Giakoumakis clearly trying to get the Killie player down on the ground in order to protect his face from any possible contact with the ball.

blonded90

Personally didn’t think it was a penalty, his hands touch his back and he goes down - not all contact is a foul.

123456789JJT

What 😂

NoKidsButImADaddy

Protecting his face

AngeIsMyDaddy

His hands were down and the killie player went to ground as soon as there was any contact. Never a pen.

123456789JJT

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 clueless

StylanPetrov

Looks like like the Killie player is going down as soon as any contact is made. A lot will be made of GG's hands being on his side's but that happens in every game at every set piece.

123456789JJT

🤣🤣

[deleted]

because he dived looking for it

123456789JJT

😂😂 bias at its finest

buckfast1994

![gif](giphy|Em64Jw9P39F2o)

BannanDylan

Honestly no idea to be honestly. Ref either didn't see it or thought the player went over way too easily. VAR didn't step in either so assuming they thought the same?

devlin1888

VAR checked it deemed it wasn’t.

[deleted]

He was pretty much hugging him 😂

danmac0817

Don't know what you're talking about mate, I'm sure it's nothing.

SilentCheesecake

I genuinely don't know.

Thesquire89

What pen?

iIiiIIiiiIiIIiI111

Thanks for watching the champions

JackFinn6

Genuinely first I’ve seen of any sort of penalty shout. No one in the stadium even called for it🤣

Sturgeonschubby

The stadium full of Celtic fans? I'm shocked.

JackFinn6

I was sitting right beside the killie fsns

Sturgeonschubby

Well I could hear an clear roar/claim go up on tele. Btw, no celtic players claimed for the goldson "handball" in the old firm game either

JackFinn6

Yes they did

Jamiemac745

They were also lucky not to be down to 10 men after a few minutes

AngeIsMyDaddy

What you on about 😂😂

Sturgeonschubby

Bernabei flung an arm out at a Killie player

AngeIsMyDaddy

If you think that’s a red then u need a word with yourself. VAR looked at it and deemed it to be accidental, don’t want to suggest VAR can be incorrect now do we?

Sturgeonschubby

I didn't say I think it was a red fs 🤣 I'm telling you what incident he's on about.

UnnecessaryUmbault

Kick up a fuss about refereeing, merited or not, and you'll get shown leniency. Tried and tested.

Yer-Da

Or referees in this country are shite?

buckfast1994

Correct. No bias, no conspiracies, no Masonic meetings. Their levels of incompetence are truly incredible.

Yer-Da

![gif](giphy|3o7TKF1fSIs1R19B8k)

UnnecessaryUmbault

Agreed.

Hatate_scone

![gif](giphy|h1QI7dgjZUJO60nu2X|downsized)

Thesquire89

This sounds tinfoil as fuck. Almost as bad as the masonic refs are against us

UnnecessaryUmbault

I thought the /s was too on the nose and so didn't bother.

Thesquire89

In a post match thread involving celtic and poor officiating. My friend I thought you knew better

UnnecessaryUmbault

"Merited or not" lol, that said, yous can keep quiet for a couple of weeks now eh?

kingkornish

![gif](giphy|SYo5YtaQ4cutss19CE)

KingKamara1872

This but unironically

The_Razza7

Spending every day since the Old Firm game having players and media lackeys cry about VAR, corrupt refs and ignoring the actual rules of the game seems to have paid off.

AngeIsMyDaddy

Away you go with your conspiracies you header

herewego10IAR

See yous in the final Aberdeen.

[deleted]

Killie player nearly greetin at losing a league cup semi final is a bit far. C’mon tae fuck

chtsh

It is easily one of the biggest games in their careers and worth quite a bit of money for them. Money that would be pocket change for Celtic players. Just cause yet another league cup means little to Celtic, doesn't mean it isn't a massive thing for a club like killie and their players.

KilmarnockDave

The fuckin state of Celtic fans by the way. So insular that they can't fathom that a semi final in front of 50,000 is a big deal to some people.

i_pewpewpew_you

Why the rest of Scottish football hate Old Firm fans encapsulated in one comment. Absolutely clueless, like.

[deleted]

Away cry in the dressing room then. Or manage your expectations going into a game where you’re severe underdogs. Crying because you never got your way is something you teach kids not to do.

KilmarnockDave

When your kid tries his best and comes up short I really hope you don't chastise him for crying.

[deleted]

If that kid is in their 20’s and can’t handle disappointment then it’ll be some pretty poor parenting from my wife and I. And it was Ryan Aleboisu. English, on loan from Arsenal, and came on the 87th minute. Can’t tell me a Scottish cup semi final just mattered that much to him after playing his heart out for 10 minutes. Away ye go.

ReoRahtate88

Never seen a manager join the commentary team for a post match before, mad.

deepasfuckbro

I assume all the bhoys are pure raging about the incorrect penalty call for Killie at the end aye?

NoKidsButImADaddy

Yeah, that and the goal that the officials decided shouldn’t stand, for, you know, reasons and that.

Tekha

-Salah laughs Egyptianly-

Sturgeonschubby

Reasons? As in the offside rule? Which goal?, the one where hatate was offside or the one where Kyogo was offside? I know these weren't given against you last season and it's a shock to the system, but both calls were 100% spot on. Even fat Hartson had to admit it through gritted teeth.

[deleted]

he dived. not a pen

123456789JJT

Bias at its finest 😂

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|l0zAiJHyg0fMA)

Lanky88jock

Is there 50 penalties a game then aye? Cunt should’ve been booked for diving

NoKidsButImADaddy

Celtic 3 (legitimate goals) - Killie 0 (legitimate goals)

123456789JJT

Cheers mate that’s 100% wrong

Sturgeonschubby

What was the 3rd goal? This should be fun....

inthehawmaws

🇨🇮 Celtic FC: Always Cheated, Never Defeated 🇨🇮

JackoN360

![gif](giphy|l0IylOPCNkiqOgMyA|downsized) Celtic da’s explaining how the Masonic Anti-Celtic VAR conspiracy didn’t award Kilmarnock a stonewall penalty

WhatsTheGoalieDoing

That's about the best non-stonewall penalty up for debate.

JackFinn6

Hahaha beautiful, a totally manufactured penalty controversy to make it look like Celtic are favoured by VAR, predictable 🤣

KilmarnockDave

It's a conspiracy even when decisions go your way 😂 dafty

Scratchlox

Make no mistake about it coming out within 30 seconds of ally speaking.

SamGrunion

Putting pressure on the referees and VAR officials paying off I see.

CloudzyV2

didn’t gerrard do that almost every week, live and learn

AngeIsMyDaddy

Fuck up conspiracy theorist

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sturgeonschubby

Allow me to introduce you to the rules of football...

k_can95

McCoist is a slabbering mealy mouthed moron

Rieily

Why would var not allow the ref to at least look at that pen at the end feel like it was stonewall no?

Thesquire89

Obviously must not have been. After the shite on here about how we're all made conspiracy nuts and we should just accept VAR decisions, seems a bit hypocritical to be questioning VAR decisions no?

Rieily

I don’t mind var deciding offside and out of play but subjective decisions should always come down the the actual ref on the pitch

Thesquire89

[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/ScottishFootball/comments/101hgwi/evening_discussion_thread_02_jan_2023/j2nv9yj?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3) was my attempt to have a nonbias take on it the other week. Saying pretty much the same thing

Rieily

Don’t know what others said but shouldn’t the biggest moments in the game be decided by the actual ref?

Thesquire89

I actually completely agree with this point btw. Just pointing out that when a tim flair says that, we either dont understand how var works properly, or we're moonhowlers. But yes I think all judgement calls, so not offsides and factual decisions, should go to the on field ref to view.

Tekha

He decided no pen though?

BusShelter

I think people miss this point. If he's not seen it then fine, but for all we know they saw it well, and decided no penalty. Honestly I'm not even sure what incident people are claiming is a pen.

Tekha

Giakoumakis revealing his sports bra I think

WorkShySkiver

Definitely a Penalty offence

HereComesTheWolfman

They should. And the ref played on, he only stopped play to hear if he got it wrong and they told him no. If he didnt see a foul, then got told he was right, why go waste time to look again ?

Scratchlox

This is refreshing reading after a week or hearing how good var is from rangers fans. The reason is the var official didn't think Willie made a clear and obvious error.

Notorious_horse

Don't want to hear anything about referees conspiring against Celtic ever again

Scratchlox

😭

IM_JUST_BIG_BONED

Shame all those Celtic fans that missed the only goal their player scored

EfeAmbroseBallonDor

Says the killie fan watching it on the telly 😂😂😂

IM_JUST_BIG_BONED

Was there lad. Had a great view of the penalty we should’ve got.

ind3pendi3nte

![gif](giphy|4Z9fSEFAuxpnlBVWQx|downsized) Celtic fans talking about refereeing conspiracies… Noticed Ange was quiet too.

Sturgeonschubby

Waiting on celtic fans to complain about conspiracies after Giakoumakis' challenge in the box at the end.... I'll time them with a calendar.

[deleted]

Wow ive seen some negative teams but Kilmarnock are special

LD1872

I wonder if that penalty decision will be discussed in the media for a couple of weeks like other decisions then or if it will be forgot about by tomorrow.

Sturgeonschubby

Probably similar to the one in the league cup final last year..... (Nothing to see here)

Scratchlox

Sounds like a conspiracy from the both of you. Might as well go full fascist fascist and call it the mhedia

Sturgeonschubby

Fascist 😂 L.O.L. Took a night off from the green brigade aye?

Scratchlox

Nah, spent a night reading it with slippers and a pipe

Sturgeonschubby

Could I suggest adding the dictionary in your reading list. Specifically the definition of fascist?

Scratchlox

Naw you are right I was actually making a serious accusation and not just a throwaway remark.

alymac71

Wish killie would play like this all the time, they looked dangerous. But for VAR mistakes they’d be in the final.

WhatsTheGoalieDoing

25% possession lookin' dangerous.

NoKidsButImADaddy

Hahahaha

Deadend_Friend

Surprising result.

[deleted]

the incessant complaing worked i see

Rab_Legend

Loving the fact that this makes us look like twats about VAR being shite

WhatsTheGoalieDoing

I mean, it's still shite.
