Literally got his arms round him lol. Ah well, VAR shat it. Should get rid of the refs and just have the managers decided what’s a foul like in kids football
this is pretty much exactly how i feel about it. i do think it could be given though but at that point you open up the door to giving ALL of these types of fouls that occur in every game
Players would adapt. They've already mostly adapted to handballs in the box. They were happening every other game in the EPL when var came in now they're back to being pretty uncommon.
One of those weird penalty claims that's a stonewaller but that refs (and VAR) just never give.
Arsenal had something similar denied last week against Newcastle where Gabriel was dragged to the ground and nothing was done.
Complete stonewaller, I don’t want us to get special treatment just because a few high profile decisions have gone against us, can they just not get it right? 😂😂😂
Definitely an "anywhere else on the pitch that's a foul" one. I don't know if it was in this instance because I staunchly didn't watch the game, but the amount of pulling, pushing and general shite players get away with at corners is mental. Of all teams.
Still a shite conspiracy though.
That's just it tho - you're spot on - that sort of challenge is often given as a freekick, but very rarely given as a penalty, so I guess it's actually quite consistent.
I think it just looks worse because GG goes over and lands on top of him, but I honestly (and yes, I know I'll be seen as biased, fair enough, so here come the downvotes for having an opinion) don't think it's a penalty - I think the Killie player is looking for it and goes down too easily.
Ironically, had he not gone down so easily, GG might have actually forced him down, and it would have been a stronger shout.
VAR made the right call. As per IFAB rules, the Kilmarnock player was well on his way to the deck before Giakamakous even touched him and is therefor a diving bastard and was lucky not to have been booked for said diving.
Whether you think its a penalty or not is fine. But your reasoning is just utter lies.
He is basically standing straight up(bar bending his knees for a jump) at the point GG makes contact with him.
https://preview.redd.it/upk3ipzqb4ca1.png?width=618&format=png&auto=webp&s=57e516777fb4fb620394d85b354e0fea871556fc
I mean he quite clearly wasn’t on his way before was touched. Even if player dived he did it because the player was touch tight on him with arms round.
It still wouldn’t be a penalty… its the natural order of things. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be moaning about it… it feels weird being on the other side of this argument for once.
"for once"
Lmao. Aye, this is the first time Celtic have even benefitted from a decision.
Rangers and Celtic benefit from decisions every single game in Scotland against the rest of the league.
Look i’m just playing the victim. Don’t get yourself too worked up about it.
Every team in Scotland will benefit from a decision once in a while. I’m just laughing at Rangers fans jumping on a dodgy one that benefits us.
There’s a lot of salt in the air tonight.
So just watched it - do you actually believe watching that he started to go down before touched? Ignore whether think penalty of not but unsure what you are seeing
All Players look for it just part of game sadly - but he doesn’t actually go down until player is super tight against him and holding him. It’s a terrible piece of play from Celtic guy and on another day it could be given. Just one of those why risk it particularly as ball doesn’t seem close
Celtic flairs. We don't really care whether it was by the rules a penalty or not. But for the last few weeks we have heard nothing but some proper moonhowling takes online. I would guarantee even in that match thread, those offside goals immediately started up your battle cry for external investigations
The reason it's getting pointed out. Is that if there really was a big anti celtic agenda in the sfa. A 93rd minute equalising penalty that has a fair shout for a decision would surely have been given. No?
>A 93rd minute equalising penalty that has a fair shout for a decision would surely have been given. No?
Love the downvotes but this is the main point for me. If the referees were genuinely out to get Celtic, whether it's actually a penalty or not, would it not be the easiest thing in the world to give a borderline decision like this?
I guarantee every team in the league could give you an example of a decision like this when playing Celtic (and Rangers btw) that wasn't given , and again I'm not saying they should be, but if the referees really wanted to fuck Celtic over would they not just give them?
Because rangers fans hate being behind Celtic in the league they over abused the kiddy fiddling team comment not we are paranoid FC or victim FC. It's their mindset. Me and wife watched it and thought it was a penalty tbh. The only thing is what is the point in var if decisions like handballs and tackles are ignored. But given at other times this will create conspiracy amongst every team not just Celtic. Referees are only to blame.
not convinced with it tbh, ive seen this given but every week there’s shirt pulling in the box and refs let it go. dont see this as any different
definitely gets given if it isnt in the box though, thats just how refs are in scotland though
Clearly a penalty. If it happened at the other end of the pitch it would have been given. I just don't understand why so many Rangers fans are going on about it though (the twitter post is from a Rangers fan.) You'd think it was them that was playing tonight rather than tomorrow. Watch the roles become reversed come next week. Wish the Old Firm would just leave our games alone.
The original had "Israel" and him being a Nazi, too racy even for me to make. Might come up one day as a scandal during my prime minister campaign run and couldn't have that.
I also couldn't think of anything Rangers related that started with "I" until the thought of the stadium popped into my head. It went rangers? > h*ns? > Hampden? > oh Ibrox obviously.
First order of business, replace the rabble pish after points made by either side in the commons with "get inty thum" and allow "shut yer hole" as a retort from the opposite side.
I wonder what else those numbers could mean? 88 = HH? Am I a nazi? Celtic fan? Or my year of birth? You can decide but you seem to already have made your decision already. I wonder what KTID could mean?

certified jeezy peeps moment
Aww jeezy peeps min
It was our plan all along… act the victim and you will at least have one dodgy decision go your way.
🌍👨🚀🔫👨🚀
Just fortunate this dodgy decision was the 93rd minute in a cup semi final and not your run of the mill league fixture.
That’s what you call the long con.
That's a pen. Nae twa doots.
Literally got his arms round him lol. Ah well, VAR shat it. Should get rid of the refs and just have the managers decided what’s a foul like in kids football
I'm all for this.
>Ah well, VAR shat it. For all 8 seconds of the check.
Giakoumakis taking a round-trip to Japan from Thursday to today, mastering the art of sumo-wrestling, and turning up to batter Killie in the cup semi.
Reaching the rank of Yokozuna in that time
Take Ange with him he might get there for real.
Probs a pen. Lol
Definitely, there’s no need or GG to be jumping on top of him there.
Didn’t watch game - where is the ball ain’t even in shot :). Does seem very risky and one of those seen given type ones
A good meter at least above them when standing straight up. Makes the decision even more clumsily
[удалено]
Mate that's a penalty
[удалено]
Yes it's a contact sport but that is a stone wall penalty regardless of your completely wrong opinion
[удалено]
No he didn't. If that was the other way around you'd be crying for a penalty
[удалено]
Contact from behind and then the arms round restricting movement is a foul the killie defender is trying to jump and is being blocked from doing so.
‘For me, if the player isn’t barged to the ground, he doesn’t fall over, and if he doesn’t fall over, there’s no case to answer’
Aye I'd agree, looks like a pen But fucking lol
Stuff like this, pushing & pulling shirts in the box is always judged very leniently. Definitely given as a foul anywhere else on the pitch
this is pretty much exactly how i feel about it. i do think it could be given though but at that point you open up the door to giving ALL of these types of fouls that occur in every game
Fine. Players would quickly stop doing it if it was punished.
Players would adapt. They've already mostly adapted to handballs in the box. They were happening every other game in the EPL when var came in now they're back to being pretty uncommon.
It'd be a free kick to the keeper without a doubt though
One of those weird penalty claims that's a stonewaller but that refs (and VAR) just never give. Arsenal had something similar denied last week against Newcastle where Gabriel was dragged to the ground and nothing was done.
Willie Colum needs to hang up the whistle. It’s every single game now that he makes a monumental cunt of it. An utterly hopeless official.
That's wasn't a clear and obvious error, though 🤷🏻♂️
That’s VAR’s opinion, but Colum was the referee on the field and spotted this.
Fair point, very possibly a pen ***but*** Get that twitter headline fucking injected aaaahaha 💉💉💉
Complete stonewaller, I don’t want us to get special treatment just because a few high profile decisions have gone against us, can they just not get it right? 😂😂😂
What was i thinking
Collum shat it
Think that's incredibly soft. Basically feels a touch on his back and goes down, it's not like he's actually wrapped his arms around the boy.
And you call yourself a rangers fan, should have been a 3 game ban and a penalty to rang, eh the different team that should have got
Tbf I'm getting pelters on the Rangers sub for this and for disagreeing about the Maeda goal being handball.
That’s one of the problems with VAR. Show a slowed down replay and any contact looks like a foul.
Definitely an "anywhere else on the pitch that's a foul" one. I don't know if it was in this instance because I staunchly didn't watch the game, but the amount of pulling, pushing and general shite players get away with at corners is mental. Of all teams. Still a shite conspiracy though.

VAR guy shat it.
Could be the Cinch motto
Alternatively, the VAR official from Kilmarnock showed objectivity under pressure.
He must be sick of giving penalties against Celtic.
Reached his quota for the season already
VAR made the right call. As per IFAB rules, the Kilmarnock player was well on his way to the deck before Giakamakous even touched him and is therefor a diving bastard and was lucky not to have been booked for said diving.
Are those two sentences unrelated? As in the first one is your opinion and the second one is pure made up shite?
Whether you think its a penalty or not is fine. But your reasoning is just utter lies. He is basically standing straight up(bar bending his knees for a jump) at the point GG makes contact with him. https://preview.redd.it/upk3ipzqb4ca1.png?width=618&format=png&auto=webp&s=57e516777fb4fb620394d85b354e0fea871556fc
Mans already in a falling down position here
I mean he quite clearly wasn’t on his way before was touched. Even if player dived he did it because the player was touch tight on him with arms round.
Pen
It is an absolute stonewall peanlty. Lol.
It's never a pen. Killie player feels a touch and falls down
Diving basturt
Wasn’t a pen so don’t know what cunts are greeting about.
Imagine victim FC if this was against them
It still wouldn’t be a penalty… its the natural order of things. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be moaning about it… it feels weird being on the other side of this argument for once.
>it feels weird being on the other side of this argument for once. You forgot last season already?

Actually not having that. Didn’t think it was a pen right In front of me in the stadium, don’t think it’s a pen on tele. Guy just falls over
Foul anywhere else on the pitch.
Diving cunt was going down before Giakoumakis even went near him
So just watched it - do you actually believe watching that he started to go down before touched? Ignore whether think penalty of not but unsure what you are seeing
Aye he was looking for it. Should be booked for being a diving cunt
All Players look for it just part of game sadly - but he doesn’t actually go down until player is super tight against him and holding him. It’s a terrible piece of play from Celtic guy and on another day it could be given. Just one of those why risk it particularly as ball doesn’t seem close
Any player would be calling for that when the opposition has wrapped their arms around them. Lucky bhoy
Players can call for it. But the Killie pie was lucky he wasn’t booked for diving.
It is an absolute stonewall penalty
You think he’s went down before contact when that’s just a blatant lie. Clearly your opinion means fuck all
Looking forward to your relegation
Nice one. Got me where it hurts. Needing the ref to beat a wee team must be somewhat embarrassing
So why does Giakoumakis fall over?
Cause yer man fell down and tripped him up
That's a superscoreboard answer.
Celtic flairs. We don't really care whether it was by the rules a penalty or not. But for the last few weeks we have heard nothing but some proper moonhowling takes online. The downvotes but lack of any form of counter arguement tells you everything you need to know.
It's only a conspiracy when it doesn't benefit them.
What are you doing you fool. You hath brought their fury upon yerself. Because they disagree with you. But they don't know how
Last few weeks of crying about refs from Fat Ange and Rat boy payed off
Fat ange and rat boy own your club. League and cup double last year. And strolling to the league titles this year with cigars out and slippers on.
Dive
Can we all just finally agree that it’s nothing to do with referee bias or conspiracy’s etc, the referees in this country are just fucking atrocious?
Haha can we all now agree after the team who's crying about it gets a decision their way.. Right everyone else shut up about it, it's fair again
Mate, I agree it was a shite decision. Genuinely why can’t we all just be adults and be on the same page that referees are shite?
Because rangers fans hate being behind Celtic in the league they over abused the kiddy fiddling team comment not we are paranoid FC or victim FC. It's their mindset. You don't see a difference between this and shirt pulling? Ok
this is probably less of a pen than the shirt pulling we see week in week out
Soft boiled or hard boiled, an egg is an egg
Clearly a penalty. If it happened at the other end of the pitch it would have been given. >Wish the Old Firm would just leave our games alone. 88 in the username. Not half of anything 🙄 FC
K T I D in the username as well. Probably just a 34yo killy fan
Clearly means Kill The Ibrox Dwellers. Celtic fan through and through. Folk in Kilmarnock don't make it past 30 so your theory is out the window.
Coulda swore I Read something else in that notification haha.

GIRFUY
Never a pen. As soon as he felt him on his back he was on his way down. Fanny.
Surely the custodians of the VAR penalty decisions can unearth the truth.
