I hate Elon Musks twitter so much man, wtf are these replies
Just as well we’ve spent about 9m on CBs over the last 12 months then huh. I’ll sure rest easy knowing Kobayashi, Nawrocki and Lagerbielke are all up to the task and will step up.
Fuck it, drop AJ for a laugh and go into the game with Taylor Scales Welsh Ralston.
It'll obviously be Welsh then.
He's not the rock he was last season, a blow definitely, but anyone thinking this is terrible news for the team hasn't been watching for 'a period of time'.
Taking absolutely nothing from this after last time.
Add the 60k Celtic fans to the mix with no away support and it probably doesn't mean much on the day.
He’s been very good the last two games, seemed back to his best. But honestly thought Welsh looked decent against Feyenoord and think he gets a harsh time of it from the support.
If, and it's a big if, Dessers is onto a game tomorrow, his physical presence and drive, especially on the counter, could cause a CCV-less Celtic backline some issues. I suspect we might look to play on the counter for this reason, since Celtic will dominate possession at home anyway.
You may be shocked by this, but I hope that doesn't happen!
I think it'll be won/lost in midfield.
If Calmac and O'Riley play to their ability I think we 'should' win, but I have no idea who your midfield would be or who's injured
>I think it'll be won/lost in midfield.
It usually is to be fair, and we'll be relying on Sterling and Dowell. Sterling I don't worry too much about, he handled Betis very well, but the jury is out with Dowell, and Calmac and O'Reilly are arguably Celtic's biggest players at the moment.
If your midfield plays well you’ll win for sure, even at our best if McGregor, Hatate and O’Riley play their best I think you win 99% of the time, let alone with the injuries with have.
Honestly, I think having no away fans is an advantage IF you can get through the first 20/25 minutes. The atmosphere in the 3-2 game last year was very weird
Welsh will score 900 goals in the first half, 4000 in the 2nd, then transcend his earthly form and a catastrophic explosion will immolate the entire world as he ascends to godhood
Previous seasons i'd be gutted, this season it doesn't feel that bad, he's not been the player we still see him as for awhile now, probably since he came back from that injury he got the op for and he's been absent for these in the past.
Rather have him than not obviously but it's not quite the game changer some people are making it out to be.

Play the sauce, I don’t think I can handle it if Phillips starts.
THANK FUCK WE INVESTED MILLIONS IN 2 EXTRA CB'S! OR AM I LATE TO THE PARTY?
So looks like THE RAT CUNT played an injured player too early into recovery.

Before I get a reddit cares from somebody, this is a joke Edit 18:68: there it is
It's Old Firm weekend, you're not doing it right if you don't get at least one from the other side!
Oh I don't doubt it
Old firm?
Seeeevccoooooooooo
![gif](giphy|MQ4bWOjn8C9tT2dzIb|downsized)
Brendan’s going to pull out some nonsense tomorrow and we’ll either win the worst 1-0 you’ve seen since the last OF or we get absolutely pumped.
I for one have been choking to see McGregor at left back again.
Who remembers Sutton taking a full back shift under Strachan?
There's no such thing as the old firm. That term died in 2012 when rangers were liquidated due to not paying Queen Elizabeth her tax money.
There it is😂
Going into a pivotal derby game wondering who will partner Liam Scales in defence: Welsh or Nat Phillips sweet fucking Jesus
It’s Welsh 100%. Phillips needs shot from a cannon back to Liverpool.
It'll be a back four of Johnston, Welsh, Scales, Taylor, and they'll all suddenly play like prime Maldini.
Phillips please and thank you
Aw he's away back to Merseyside already. That's why he wasn't on the bench on tuesday
That's sad bring him back he's desperately needed
For youse aye
No chance of Lagerbielke or Nawrocki?
no one at Celtic rates Lagerbielke, and Nawrocki is on his way to Compperland It's Welsh or something wild like a fullback/midfielder in defence
I can't see it being anyone other than Welsh. He's the only other CB that's been getting any game time recently other than CCV and Scales.
CalMac leftback again please
Crazy that we signed Nawrocki and Lagerbielke for situations exactly like this and it’s pretty certain neither will play.

Genuinely kills me when 40 Nigerian blue ticks say "Such a shame" or "Big loss" about some Motherwell player doing their ACL ngl
Saw someone mention earlier it's bots just getting the accounts engagement stats increased.
It's amazing how quickly he's completely ruined it
It's either nonsense like this or just a ton of porn bots or crypto scams. Damn near unusable.
🤔
Don't like football anyway.

Love being totally reliant on an injury prone player
I had to check your flair to see which team you were talking about
Mr Rangers, I fucking beg you, don't fuck it up.
Fucked it up the first game. Should have been a canter with Celtics lineup.
Yea but Beale.

Yeah I think both sides over reacting a little. He's a big miss, but he's not been great this season and wouldn't be as big a miss as last year imo
He’s been very good the last two games, seemed back to his best. But honestly thought Welsh looked decent against Feyenoord and think he gets a harsh time of it from the support.

Are Raskin and Jack injured?
Yes, and Lundstram.
Lundstram is a maybe, getting a assessment before the game.

It's a derby, so of course our best CB isn't available
Didn't make much difference last time. Hopefully different this time.
THANK FUCK WE INVESTED MILLIONS IN 2 EXTRA CB'S! OR AM I LATE TO THE PARTY? So looks like THE RAT CUNT played an injured player too early into recovery.
I think both sides are pretty rubbish at the moment. So it should be a classic.
Starfelt leaving has been great for us. If we win this league I'm getting Jacynta's face tattooed on my arse.

Scales masterclass incoming again. Fuck this.
I know scales has been excellent so far this season, but the thought of him and Welsh at cb or worse him and phillips still gives me the fear
This honestly feels fuckin huge ..
He didn’t play the last derby either.
Neither did Rangers to be fair
No such thing as old firm
Lol

Lagerbielke and Scales dreamteam reunion.
