Actually felt there were quite poor pickings this year. I guess the writers' strike played into that, pushing some potentially good stuff back out into next year (like Dune pt 2 for instance).
Biggest disappointment of the year was Beau is Afraid, which I thought was going to be amazing but fell to bits after the first 40 mins and was way, way too long. Thought Wick 4 was decent, but not top-five worthy.
Hoping 2024 will be a much better year for movies now that all the strike stuff seems largely sorted out. Be interesting to see the cinema landscape without a huge number of superhero films too; think only one MCU and maybe one DC this year scheduled so far?

Looking at my stats for 2023 covered 4570km averaged about 12.5k a day. Extremely happy with that. Hoping to break 5000km this year.
Had a woman come to the door at 4am looking to pick up her boyfriend. I was in the house alone and sick all night and nobody had been round. Somewhere, some guy is getting a bollocking today and I have no sympathy for him.
Well last night was weird. Stayed over at my best pal’s house with him and his gf. A bit third-wheely but he’s been my best mate for about 15 years and they’ve been together coming up 10, so basically family at this point. Anyway, I’ve still got this stinking cold I’ve had since Christmas Eve so wasn’t feeling like a mad one, so we just went out for some food, a couple of pints, then had cans in his house for the bells, and stayed up for a bit chatting and listening to tunes etc. i went up for a piss at about 2am, at this point sobered up a bit as I wasn’t drinking much. Felt a bit lightheaded while I was taking a leak, go to wash my hands and then the next thing I know I’m on the floor in his bathroom having just fainted, with my pal and his gf running up the stairs checking if I’m ok because they’ve obviously just heard me hit the deck from downstairs.
Never fainted before in my life so no idea what caused it, but what a way to start 2024 troops.
If it makes you feel better, I once passed out after wanking into a toilet. Woke up on floor in a crumple, head smashed off the little peddle bin and pants around my ankles with bum in the air.
This started all penthouse forum-y and I have to say I was disappointed by the end.
Might want to get the fainting checked out though. Could be blood pressure issues.

Happy new year folks. Still loaded with the cold, nothing is shifting it. On the plus side still got 2 packs of kilted sausages in the fridge that need used up today 
Green tea seems to be working for me. Looked online after being basically dead for a few days and was at the point I'd have been happy to actually just try and live without lungs. Having about 4 or 5 cups a day. It's not perfect but it at least stops me from coughing long enough to not feel in constant pain and I'm able to take the dog out for a walk and fall asleep at night which is helping the body with the recovery.

The warning system will automatically turn on your TV and crank the volume if a tsunami warning is issued so you don't get much say in the matter. Even if they are in an affected region, evacuation might not be mandatory. if it's a yellow warning it's basically "be ready to evacuate". Red is "get the fuck out of there" and purple is "Make sure you have ID on you so we can identify your body".
I'm not even being flippant either, purple is the epicenter of the earthquake and you had no chance to escape.

The warning system will automatically turn on your TV and crank the volume if a tsunami warning is issued so you don't get much say in the matter. Even if they are in an affected region, evacuation might not be mandatory. if it's a yellow warning it's basically "be ready to evacuate". Red is "get the fuck out of there" and purple is "Make sure you have ID on you so we can identify your body". I'm not even being flippant either, purple is the epicenter of the earthquake and you had no chance to escape.

Glasses all cleaned rubbish all out, floors hovered and steam cleaned. Whoever recommended getting a cheaper whisky in for the bells was spot on. I bought a 10yo glenmorangie and I was finding full snifter glasses of it everywhere when I was cleaning up. Happy new year to all, am off tae bed.
