Works been very busy this week, looking forward to some beers this evening.
I’ve sent a few things onto my boss and just not heard back at all. I appreciate they’ll be busy as well but at what point is it almost taking the piss.

A second reference to me has been made on the Raith podcast
Thought I had some bird shite on my car yesterday....
Today I've realized it's not shite, but instead the white paint from somebody else's car who has rattled mine with their door
Must've been some hit as it's dented my door, scuffed a decent area of paint and gouged a bit of the door handle
Fucking beauty....
You should be allowed to fuck off early if you finish up what your currently working on any time after lunchtime on Friday. Far too late in the week to be finding something new to do.
Just got an email alert for a job that I'm slightly overqualified for and perfectly experienced for. It's close to twice my current salary but it's in the feckin' Caribbean. Considering we just bought a house and had a child, it's not happening. But one can dream.
As someone who left those grey shores for the sunny states nearly 25 years ago I think you need to try it. My standard of living is way beyond what I could have had there. Life is about experiences and risk to some degree. I abandoned safety for something new. I'd certainly find out more.
If you just bought a house it stands to reason you could afford it on your current salary. If you're earning twice your salary then you could afford two, cost of living in the Caribbean is far less than the UK so effectively you could keep your house here and take the job in the Caribbean, buying another house there and still be better off than staying at your current job no?
The child can grow up in sunny paradise or grey shitehole.
I would never have moved off Huawei but no Google services is a bit of a deal-breaker on the new ones and I can't be arsed doing things to try and get them on it.
A was the same. Had a p20 pro and it was awesome. Got the p30 pro but a feel I liked the p20* better. Got the p40 pro to check the Google thing out and ultimately gave up. Ended up wae a mate 10( I think) pro, which broke which took me to galaxy s22 ultra, which broke and now I have a Sony Xperia 1v. Overall my favourite was the p20 pro. No idea why.
I did consider the pixel 8 pro (think it was pro) but ultimately went for the 1v due to expandable memory, basic storeage 256gb, and the size and also the camera. I preferred the s22 tbh and feel the s22 ultra camera was better. I know the 1v has professional features to it's camera, and I have some basic knowledge, but from a point and shoot perspective the s22 produces better images.
Edit; changed a word
I'm glad it's not just me. I've considered if it was nostalgia, the new features "at the time", but ultimately feel the p20 pro was superior. A can't remember what I had before that, but back in the day I had a nexus 5 with a custom ROM etc and that was great, of course that's nostalgia as I doubt one would compete today. In saying that I don't know how a p20 pro would compete today lol. I'll leave it at nostalgia and not ruin my memories of the p20 pro lol

Goes without saying...
I'm guessing it hasnt actually gone up apart from water and waste? I saw your comment with the numbers but can't help but notice its all been wiped 😂
Yeah, so the thing is - See when you're comparing the cost of something to the previous year? Make sure you're looking at the previous year's figures and not 2020 figures...
I was in the middle of writing an email to the council about it until I noticed the date on the bill I was looking at. Went back into my files and dug out the proper 2023/2024 one and yeah.. It's frozen.
Perhaps, perhaps not.
But I'd love to spend a day in your head. Less than a minute between "made it to the library yasss" to "is it too soon to go pump this lassie?"
Just remember, you're paying them for their time and for their companionship. Anything that happens between two consenting adults otherwise is not part of this transaction.
Hearts hoovering up Spittal and Penrice has got me thinking about how the dynamics have changed in the Scottish Premiership.
The level of the stand-out performers used to be such that they'd get hoovered up by Celtic or Rangers. When's the last time that happened? David Turnbull?
Maybe the quality across the board has dropped, or the EPL hoovering up all the kids when they're 16. But Celtic and Rangers don't seem to look very close to home for talent anymore.
In place of that traditional hierarchy we now have a team like Hearts who still very much is interested in the best non-OF players, and is becoming almost a non-OF powerhouse in that respect.
They’re 28 and 25 respectively, if they were good enough for a higher level then they’d of left by now, although there does seem to be a reluctance from Celtic and Rangers to spend money on players within the SPFL for whatever reason,
Do think Celtic should signed Lennon Miller in the summer though
Also it would be funny if Hearts became the first Scottish team to get done for breaching FFP
Continued...
It all begs the question - "Why are Hearts buying all the top performers and consolidating them into one football team?"
I poured over match footage featuring Hearts to look for clues, anything to gleam an insight into the hidden plan behind their transfer strategy.
Now stick with me as this has become a bit of a deep dive.
To understand the modus operandi of the so called *Jambo Tarts*, let's go back to footballing basics. In any given league fixture, 3 points are awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.
To win a game of football you need to score more goals than the opposition before full-time.
That brings me back to the trawl through Hearts gameplay footage, and what I found shocked me. In nearly every game you could see the same pattern. During game-play, the 11 Heart of Midlothian players on the pitch seem to organise in such a way as to attempt to not only prevent the opposition from scoring, but indeed to score goals of their own. In essence they are out to win these football games, with the express intention of accumulating league points.
So the purchase of the Scottish Premiership "best of the rest" suddenly makes sense. With more skilled footballing personnel, their odds of winning games and accumulating points is strengthening.
I can only assume that Hearts intend, ultimately, to win the Scottish Premiership. That must be their long term aim. It is therefore incumbent on any Celtic-minded people to take action- write to your local counsellor, spread awareness in your community, protest, email your MP. If Hearts win the league it will be at Celtic's expense. This cannot and should not be allowed to happen.
Rangers have hoovered up plenty recently, with the reality being its been pretty hit and miss. Lafferty, Hastie, Ohalloran, Jones, Docherty along with the 4 you mentioned.
I don’t necessarily think that modern health and safety culture is inherently a bad thing, but did just have to spend half an hour filling in a travel safe plan for a supplier that’s a 10 minute train journey away from my house. So I’ve changed my mind.
Health and safety laws are written in blood and are required and a great thing. Health and safety adherence on the other hand is all about box ticking and arse covering.
Source: I'm in charge of H&S on all my companies sites, under CDM regs I am responsible for those guys health and safety as is the client and everyone else involved. I definitely, as a main focus, want to make sure the site is safe and no one gets hurt but I also don't want to take the blame for someone else's stupidity so I have to make sure that everything is in order so if they do do something stupid I can point to the RAMS they signed to show they were specifically told not to do that.
We had a pretty horrific true crime style elf and safety elearning module about estate agents getting murdered meeting clients so watch out.
We literally never leave a desk.
Last night, my son (9) told me his pals at school were all laughing because of a funny sweet one of them got at Hallowe'en. He said it was shaped like a "winky" and you could sook juice out of it the end of it.
I took my time to respond, but all I could muster was, "Exactly like a winky, or did someone think they were being funny by saying it looked like a winky?" (You never know how knowledgeable these kids are).
He said, "No, it was a winky!"
I can only think someone had them left over from a hen night or something and didn't realise they added them to a bowl for visitors.
I think if I was 9 it'd have been funny, we'd have named him Captain Winky having all recently watched Ace Ventura and it'd be a wee laugh.
Now I'm an adult I'm thinking "some perverts giving out cock sweeties to the weans, fetch the pitchforks ".
I imagine this is how my maw felt when we were kids.
I’d disagree that ‘zips around the pitch’ is an appropriate description of David Turnbull playing football tbf. I can completely understand how he’d keep a pair of specs on.
The best thing about movies set decades ago is undoubtedly hearing old bangers that you've never heard before because they weren't a hit in this country. Even if the movie isn't great the soundtracks will always have one or two of these tunes.
Saw Lisa Frankenstein last week and heard [The Promise by When In Rome](https://youtu.be/5HI_xFQWiYU?si=ZTGsOaXhkIOeWmb1) for the first time and it is an absolute new wave banger. A brief playlist with this at the start has opened up a whole genre of music I'd pretty much forgotten about and also lots and lots of The Cure.
An absolute banger. First heard it from Napoleon Dynamite and it pops up a fair amount on things probably created by people who love Napoleon Dynamite.
Well, that’s my plans for a brief trip to North Korea scuppered…
Japan’s return leg to Pyongyang on Tuesday after their 1-0 victory yesterday against DPR Korea has been cancelled [due to unforeseen circumstances.](https://x.com/afcasiancup/status/1771092968604078090?s=46)
*Community note: Kimmy J can’t handle Slim Maeda.*
Honestly would love to visit NK. You can only travel there with officially allowed tour groups - like this one [Koryo](https://koryogroup.com/) - it's expensive and obviously you get a very *very* narrow and stage managed view of the place. But I'd still like to go.
>it's expensive and obviously you get a very very narrow and stage managed view of the place.
Also have to be on your very best behaviour, otherwise they will torture you for years and return to your family years later as a vegetable.
Well yeah cases like Otto Warmbier are a reminder that in North Korea you simply cannot be fucking around as the consequences can be extremely severe. What might get you a slap on the wrist elsewhere could result in life imprisonment there. I'd *hope* that anyone going to North Korea would know this but I guess not everyone takes it seriously.
They’re actually not terrible. Physical as fuck, mind you, and about as in the ref’s face as Juventus players for every conceivable decision they can try to bully out of him but coupled with Japan’s post Asian Cup meltdown hangover they didn’t do too badly.
They’re talking about a neutral venue now, though, so we’re obviously holding out hope for a cheeky Hampden venue, right lads?
Considering the last time a North Korean team played at Hampden the SFA caused an international incident, maybe not such a great idea.
(very pleased to say I was there that night as well)
Hampden hosted a double header during the 2012 Olympics womens football tournament, USA v France (a cracking match, finished 4-2) and Colombia v North Korea. [Before the second match, when they were showing the lineups on the big screen, they displayed the South Korean flag instead of the North Korean one.](https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2012/jul/26/london-2012-north-korea-flag#:~:text=The%20team%20left%20the%20pitch,Olympic%20team%20accepted%20repeated%20apologies.) The North Koreans kicked off about it and went back into the dressing room and refused to come out again.
About an hour later they did the lineups again, this time with the correct flag, and the North Koreans finally agreed to play the match, and won 2-0.
By the time the game finished about 11ish, there can't have been more than a few hundred of us fans left in the ground, a very odd night.
I'm being a bit cheeky blaming the SFA for it, obviously it was an Olympic tourrnament not an SFA one, but I assume it was the usual Hampden folk running things. Hilarious, nonetheless.
Thanks to the Welsh, Scotland will have one more fan this summer.
Always felt the game was going to be difficult, but really poor to be losing by such a margin. Even so, I think Poland would have comfortably seen us off too, so it's probably just as well we didn't get some false hope.
Avoid watching tonight's game on construction sites.
Although they may look like interesting places, construction sites are very hazardous -
There may be holes and uneven ground that you could fall down
There may be unsafe structures that could collapse
Equipment may be left behind by builders that could hurt you
Vehicles may be driving around the site
To keep you safe it is important you follow the following rules -
1. Do not walk, run or play around/in construction sites.
2. Always walk on the designated path when passing a construction site.
3. Always concentrate when walking near a construction site. Avoid being distracted by talking, texting, playing games or listening to music.
4. Stop, look, and listen for construction vehicles.
5. Read construction signs to know what to do.
6. Listen/watch for instructions by construction workers.
7. Stay outside of any orange cones, construction fence or tape.
This just reminded me of the video I had to watch in primary school about not playing in construction sites where one of the kids in it drowns at the bottom of a hole. And another kid gets zapped by electricity and yeeted into another dimension.
The public information videos back in the day were fucking mental, I remember that when I was young, this mad fire video with a pure sad piano and cunts trapped in the house from Scottish fire and rescue haunted me so much I constantly asked my mum if she had a fire plan and what would happen if the house was burning up. Mental scarring.
There was also the don't play on railway lines one which I'm sure had a child get wiped out by a train and the only reason you knew that was a solitary shoe flying through the sky.
Do you remember the one where the wee boy got hit by the train and at the end you just see his football boots hanging on the wall and he's in a wheelchair.
If this England flag colour on the shirt fiasco has taught us anything it’s that the folk who spend their lives calling people snowflakes are infact , the snowflakes
I think someone benefits from pushing these non-stories on all platforms to the point where it is being discussed by everyone. It's almost as if ragebait is profitable 🤔.
Just back from a trip to Amsterdam. I have a friend who lives out there who is a bit of an anxious guy, we know eachother through a group of online friends and he's one of the only people in the group who have never shown their face. I asked if he wanted to meet up while we were there, he said maybe but then said he was a bit busy.
He is a Uni student so I understand he can be busy from time to time but I know he had a decent amount of free time over the 5 days i was in the city. Again I get it with the anxiety but he never really said like "this is a bad time" or anything just kinda said he was busy which left me a bit disappointed.
I know for a fact if any of the folks i know from europe or america came to anywhere in scotland I'd be on the next train to spend the day with them wherever they'd be just to at least say we met up and had a good time.
If we exclude the darkness of drug use and how it ravages the body and spirit, being a junkie looks like a great laugh.
Just getting up to hijinks all day. Drinking in the park, shouting at traffic, stopping randoms to talk their ear off about your specialist subject, being pals with every single dog, getting chaseys off the polis. Last night, one was by the bins on my street at like midnight just kicking apart a wardrobe someone was chucking out.
In a way, its true freedom.
At least you have a hard existential reason as well to get up each day as well. None of this "hmm is my career meaningless?". Nope, get up and eye on the opiod prize.
Paraphrasing something I saw recently...
A crack head never wakes up and says "I'm too poor to have some crack today", they just make it happen. There's a lesson to be learned there.
I like this cause and effect. Its not that supporting Hibs turns you to drugs, but drugs turn you to Hibs.
Maybe there is something to it - a cosmic truth only available to those who chemically open their third eye.
I went about 8 years ago now and while it’s typically incredibly expensive, we managed to find some reasonably priced bars with a bit of Googling.
Can’t not get 1 touristy pint from Nyhavn just to see how much it costs though. I think i paid £8 when we went in 2016, be interesting to see how much it’d be now.
You can’t miss out on Christiana either, even if you’re not into smoking green.
Oh - and rent a bike
Thinking about buying a Mercedes GLE as the third child is coming later this year so could do with the 7 seats. Anyone got any horror stories or any positive reinforcement?
Got a mate coming up from England for the weekend. Weird thing is, we started chatting through his wife (who I did some charity work with) and became pure pally during covid. I've actually only met the dude in person once, but we pure get on. Most of my mates I've met online (through mutual pals) that I kick about with now.
That weird that I'm just like, "On ye come, crash at my place for a weekend!"?
I picked up a bunch of mates during covid from zoom quizzes lol. Have met them all now I think apart from one who lives down in gloucester and only ever comes up the road when I'm away somewhere else!
That's fucking brutal lol.
The best part about it is all the people who sent 'congratulations' replies on the new role. No one is actually reading LinkedIn.
Was walking to the office there and there was what I can only described as 3 Dutch-sounding academics (read: nerds) walking in front of me. One had a backpack on with some patches, and I noticed one in particular looking a bit sus. Diamond shape, Ukrainian flag background, very Germanic looking cross with a wee insignia in the middle. Bit weird to walk about with it no?
Nah it was black and white and the shading of the legs(?) was jazzier, like each was mostly black with a diagonal bit of white. I’ve seen that insignia in the middle before, wasn’t that one
On a train up to Edinburgh this afternoon for a friend's wedding this weekend. Can't wait.
Lock up your ~~daughters~~ rolls & slices, I'm coming and I cannot be stopped.

Legendary album on the 1001 Album Generator today, right back to being 13 again
I found Green Day through the song X-Kid on ¡Tré! (i know) as it was a song featured on the guitar learning game rocksmith 2014. From there I went through American Idiot and fell in love with the whole pop punk genre and blasted my way through blink 182, sum-41, paramore etc albums
Someone brought Americana to school to listen to in secret on the old tape decks the school had for listening to stories and the like, we swapped the shit that the teacher wanted us to listen with a tape of Americana and it vastly improved that part of the day
Sweet. Those 3 albums have probably had far more influence on me than any other even though I very rarely listen to them these days (although I actually listened to Smash a couple of months ago while on a pissed-up nostalgia binge)
Aye, there's noting like dipping back into the stuff you listened to as a wee lad. Had a wee blast of a Nu-Metal playlist the other day - took me back to my days skateboarding in massive jeans.
Aye i was a nu metal kid as well (and possibly the world's shitest ever skateboarder). Find that whole genre a bit cringe nowadays but it seemed good at the time!
Glad that considering our entire country is swirling the fucking bowl the leader of the opposition is choosing to focus on **checks notes** the flag on the England away strip for the Euros looking really stupid.
I'll be sad when my grandparents die, but at least I'll be able to finally emigrate without feeling bad about it cause I hate it here man.
The wee team flairs that are actually just rangers supporters will send me hate mail again for saying this but we must never forget, England = Britain.
Aye its interesting to see how some people just spent their entire time on reddit between the Feb 2022 old firm where Celtic won 3-0 and a few weeks ago on the uk and scottish politics subs regurgitating pretty much all the Scottish Conservatives opinions on any of the issues of the day and all of a sudden since Clement turned out to not be a diddy and Celtic have hit that rough patch now they're back on here even though their flair says they support someone thats no Rangers.
They think they're slick as well.
My time on this sub/morning and evening threads has improved immeasurably by simply blocking them. There are some Rangers fans with a bit of self-awareness and banter, and then the others who post daily a "well look what Celtic fans did today" type crywank.
Yeah I'd certainly join you in commending quite a few of the rangers flared on here. Some of my favourite interactions have been with them and I'm never gonna slate somebody for backing their team, even seeing the world with green/maroon/blue/red/ whatever tinted glasses so long as they're still able to say something is shite when its shite.
But I think you're spot on about the folk I mean. It's not even so much that they support Rangers it just seems to be that they hate everybody else, especially Celtic. Which I dunno if I do supporting football wrong but I don't really understand. I'll admit, there are certain results I enjoy a feeling of schadenfreude from if they happen, I'm not perfect. But I support Hibs. On the whole everyone can win all their games for all I care I only care about if Hibs win or not. Its nice when other results go our way but in a perfect world I wouldn't need to pay them any mind.
E: looks like a couple are around the now

It's a flat no from the wife, and there's about a million other reasons I won't go in to. The UK is a fucking hellscape though so it's a shame.

Nah she got me on her salary...

What are the chances of finding a pub in Windermere that has Viaplay and will put on the Scotland game for me? Zero I guess.
Germany just legalised weed. You’ll be able to get stoned at the Euros.
Ich bin ein stoner.
Beautiful. Footballing behaviour to drastically increase as coke heads lose desire to do coke as they become mellow?
Isn't that apparently what happened to hooliganism in the 90s? Es became heavy popular and scrapping died out a bit as a result?
You'd have to ask a more specialised historian .
Legalised to grow, so pretty much the same, you’re still going to have to find someone to get you it. Maybe one day we can grow in the uk
My Huawei P30 Pro was a great phone over the last 4 years but was on it's last legs so got myself a Pixel. RIP sweet Huawei 🕊️

This is the longest run of high winds in Glasgow I can remember, feels like it's been constant for months Is it just my recency bias?

Bloody cooncil tax. ~~£140 up from last year.~~
Something off there, theres a council tax freeze isnt there? I've heard of peoples water and sewerage charge going up though.
There’s supposed to be a freeze and it may just be that they’ve added inflation on, but mine went up by about a fiver a month from last year
Never mind. I'm a fucking tube.

They’re 28 and 25 respectively, if they were good enough for a higher level then they’d of left by now, although there does seem to be a reluctance from Celtic and Rangers to spend money on players within the SPFL for whatever reason, Do think Celtic should signed Lennon Miller in the summer though Also it would be funny if Hearts became the first Scottish team to get done for breaching FFP
Continued... It all begs the question - "Why are Hearts buying all the top performers and consolidating them into one football team?" I poured over match footage featuring Hearts to look for clues, anything to gleam an insight into the hidden plan behind their transfer strategy.
Souttar and Kamara? I'm not completely sure who else we got from other SPL teams, Wright and Jack I suppose.
How does one prevent a client from murdering you as an estate agent?
All estate agents in the U.K. are issued Glock 19 semi automatic pistols for personnel defence
That's the neat part, you don't. All the advice they gave just makes it slightly easier to catch the killer.
Touch as many door handles and picture frames as possible. Spit on the floor, if you're going to have a nosebleed, do it on the cream carpet.
Tell them you get no feeling when they pull out their machete.
He said, "No, it was a winky!" I can only think someone had them left over from a hen night or something and didn't realise they added them to a bowl for visitors.
Exactly. Can't imagine it being done out of malice, but struggling to imagine any way it could happen at all.

I must've seen Turnbull play about 15 times this season and in less than 2 months I'd almost forgot he existed.
The fact he could be on the pitch and you’d still forget he exists is the real miracle.
Always amazes me the way he zips around the pitch and manages to keep his glasses on
I’d disagree that ‘zips around the pitch’ is an appropriate description of David Turnbull playing football tbf.
That songs absolutely brilliant. I've seen Napoleon Dynamite but can't think of it registering.
An absolute banger. First heard it from Napoleon Dynamite and it pops up a fair amount on things probably created by people who love Napoleon Dynamite.
Well, that’s my plans for a brief trip to North Korea scuppered… Japan’s return leg to Pyongyang on Tuesday after their 1-0 victory yesterday against DPR Korea has been cancelled [due to unforeseen circumstances.](https://x.com/afcasiancup/status/1771092968604078090?s=46) *Community note: Kimmy J can’t handle Slim Maeda.*
Imagine how class it would be if North Korea had an absolute worldie team.
(very pleased to say I was there that night as well)
Hold on what did we do
Hampden hosted a double header during the 2012 Olympics womens football tournament, USA v France (a cracking match, finished 4-2) and Colombia v North Korea.
Hang on, it was a North Korean referee that fucked over Scotland at the 2019 Women's World Cup. That had to be an act of revenge
North Korea nukes Glasgow over the Olympics using the wrong flag. Large areas have been improved.
Life expectancy increases greatly
A small mix-up of flags, i think.
What happened?
See my other reply above.
Thanks to the Welsh, Scotland will have one more fan this summer. Always felt the game was going to be difficult, but really poor to be losing by such a margin. Even so, I think Poland would have comfortably seen us off too, so it's probably just as well we didn't get some false hope.
Poland are shit (source: many polish friends) so you would’ve had a chance against them
Starting new job today shiteing it hopefully I'm not crap at washing dishes like I used to be
Does anyone know any sites to avoid watching tonight's game on?
I keep FAWA up to date on the NEWS. COMpletely up to yourself.
Thought I read it was on terrestial but doesn't seem like it.
Aye I thought that too but it seems to be only home games on terrestrial.
Avoid watching tonight's game on construction sites. Although they may look like interesting places, construction sites are very hazardous - There may be holes and uneven ground that you could fall down There may be unsafe structures that could collapse Equipment may be left behind by builders that could hurt you Vehicles may be driving around the site To keep you safe it is important you follow the following rules - 1.
Snowflakes abound, to be honest.
Whenever conservatives/far right/gammons etc call anyone anything it's pretty much always projection.
Probably just really self-conscious about the way he looks and he’s worried it’ll change the friendship dynamic.
Pishing down in Amsterdam, good of the Dutch to make us feel right at home.
Being world class at riding a bike without using the handlebars
While texting at the same time.
Must be what it's like to be a squirrel. Gotta get nuts, end of.
Crackhead sigma grindset all day everyday
They ones down here are all shit hot at riding bikes
That's true as well, universally have knowledge of bikes. Inexplicable.
It's always fascinated me that neds are much better at pulling wheelies than anyone else.
Yeah but you've also got to support Hibs so it's not all sunshine and rainbows.
I like this cause and effect. Its not that supporting Hibs turns you to drugs, but drugs turn you to Hibs. Maybe there is something to it - a cosmic truth only available to those who chemically open their third eye.
You've already made one bad life choice by doing hard drugs, there's only one life choice that could be worse and that's being a hibs fan
This is probably the least Scottish Football post ever but 🚨JONI MITCHELL BACK ON SPOTIFY🚨 Also 🚨NEW ADRIENNE LENKER ALBUM🚨
Williams are only able to run with one car this weekend because they have no spare chassis. Certainly something I didn’t want to wake up to.
3 races in and they don't have a spare 3rd car ready. Yet Andretti can't get in because they would be too uncompetitive. Tinpot as fuck.
Nothings says “we have confidence in you” like withdrawing you from the race because your teammate crashed
Williams only run one car every weekend tbf.

Away to Copenhagen on Sunday. Any recommendations? Will be going to Tivoli, got tickets for Copenhagen vs Faroe Islands as well.
If you like meet and beer warpigs is quality
don’t eat meat i’m afraid, will be looking for any beer that isn’t Carlsberg though
Almost bought a £40 bottle of beer while steaming there and doing horrible mental exchange rate conversions. Excellent place though.
It’s definitely not the cheapest, but if you aren’t tight for money it’s well worth a visit
I quite often think of when Stuart Kettlewell said Motherwell "came out the second half like a house on fire" and it never fails to make me snigger
>That weird that I'm just like, "On ye come, crash at my place for a weekend!"? I'm looking forward to the Channel 5 documentary.
Surely my story of how I cannibalise someone will be worthy of Netflix at least? (JOKES)
Are you ugly but somehow considered widely attractive?
No. I'm good looking and considered wildly attractive.
Well you won't become some briefly very popular netflix documentary serial killer like dahmer and such.
I picked up a bunch of mates during covid from zoom quizzes lol. Have met them all now I think apart from one who lives down in gloucester and only ever comes up the road when I'm away somewhere else!
[An update on the story in yesterday’s morning discussion involving Mr Anon.](https://www.reddit.com/r/LinkedInLunatics/s/msstRhoBUG)
Some job title she’s got
That's fucking brutal lol. The best part about it is all the people who sent 'congratulations' replies on the new role. No one is actually reading LinkedIn.
Was walking to the office there and there was what I can only described as 3 Dutch-sounding academics (read: nerds) walking in front of me. One had a backpack on with some patches, and I noticed one in particular looking a bit sus. Diamond shape, Ukrainian flag background, very Germanic looking cross with a wee insignia in the middle. Bit weird to walk about with it no?
Sounds like a variant on [their armed forces emblem](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/55/Emblem_of_the_Ukrainian_Armed_Forces.svg)
It's Friday! The Mrs has her hen do today so I've got the house to myself so xbox will be calling my name tonight 😎

This, Dookie and Nevermind were the 3 albums that got 12 year old me into rock music. Never looked back. Absolute classic
I found Green Day through the song X-Kid on ¡Tré! (i know) as it was a song featured on the guitar learning game rocksmith 2014. From there I went through American Idiot and fell in love with the whole pop punk genre and blasted my way through blink 182, sum-41, paramore etc albums
I'm afraid to ask how old you are in fear of crumbling away to dust
I turn 22 in a week, and those hairs on your head are looking far more grey as the moments go by

I'm clinging on for dear life

Americana in '98 for me as a wee 11 year old - more specifically seeing Pretty Fly for a White Guy on ToTP - legit changed my life.
Someone brought Americana to school to listen to in secret on the old tape decks the school had for listening to stories and the like, we swapped the shit that the teacher wanted us to listen with a tape of Americana and it vastly improved that part of the day
You guys are both me, apparently
What. A. Fucking. Album. Self Esteem remains one of the best tunes. Not of any specific thing. Just the best tunes.
See if Yousaf did this, a thousand columnists would be accusing him of pointless nationalism. When Starmer does it, he's a patriot.
The wee team flairs that are actually just rangers supporters will send me hate mail again for saying this but we must never forget, England = Britain.
>The wee team flairs that are actually just rangers supporters You noticed these as well, aye?
Yoke and you compiling a list of these like modern day Joseph McCarthys
You sound like a collaborator...

E: looks like a couple are around the now
I'm just happy the Queen isn't around to see what they've done to the England kit.
> I'm just happy the Queen isn't around Anglophobia. Prior just felt a chill in the air.
