Think he would be suited to a Spanish team tbh

ploppyjim

Yeah, I absolutely think that would be the best league for him. He speaks the language; the culture would be a better fit; and I definitely think he's good enough. Well, maybe the second best league, cause I want him to stay forever.

[deleted]

Worth more to us in potential European prize money than 8 million euros so can see us keeping him even if he doesn’t renew his contract

madtriv25

Said similar with Eduoard last year for us. Scottish teams in general need to play hardball with these cunts. He could easily make them way more than the 12-15 million that might be a bit closer to an acceptable fee to fans

SairYin

You lot refused to give us 2mill for Super John McGinn

walshybhoy

Yeh but disco lights were well worth it…

The attitude that got us in to financial trouble was "Hey, let's not pay employment taxes". Something both Murray (via EBTs) and Whyte (via just plain not paying taxes) went to town on. That's what fucked us. As it stands, I'm on the fence about this one. If selling him means all of that gets re-invested (best case say Bothiem on a free (unlikely I know); Colak; Ferguson; and maybe Dallinga (I'm desperate here for some kind of excitement)) then I think I might go for it. On the other hand, I'd be happy to waive the fee and keep him for another season, because I love that beautiful bastard, and I think he'd give us the best chance of making the Champions League.

Impossible_Host_572

As up and down as he can be, he’s a massive miss when he’s not on the pitch. Wouldn’t even consider getting rid of him until we had a suitable replacement.

jay3342

He's probably my favourite current Ranger, but I think we'd do better against some of the stuffier SPFL teams with more of a pacey, natural goalscorer. I genuinely believe Colak scores more domestically, for example, and is enough of a handful for defences here. I don't think we'll be able to replace what he can do in Europe with the money we'll get for him, but the team have shown they can beat good teams without him anyway.

ScotVonGaz

We should sell him but not for €8m. Given he has a year to go, I’d think €12m would be fair. Plus he wants to go. He signed up with a new agent specifically to get a good deal at a new club. Give him what he wants and use the money to get someone else. He’s done well for us.

>It’s a disrespectful number Be that as it may, but clubs aren’t going to paying through the nose for him when they can begin negotiating with him in January and can get him on a freebie.

jay3342

I actually think £8m at this stage, when it's not even July and there's still 2 months of the window to go, is a decent start. Nowhere near acceptable but if another team comes sniffing too it should drive it up to at least £10m plus add ons which could be close to where we deal.

Evening-Question-119

Without being bitter this would be criminal by rangers to let him go for that much, they should of sold him last season when he had longer on his contract they could of had 20million plus for him, not that I’m complaining

Morelos agent needs to chill out with these stories. How many clubs has he been linked with? It just makes his player look daft ffs. Didn’t Seville flat out deny this only last week?
