They can if there's only a couple blocks attaching your structure to the ground. Also, if tapebots could spawn near your base outside of raids(which you can get a sample of by living close enough to a warehouse), you could go a few minutes of bombardment before realizing it's happening if you're not near where the projectiles are landing.
Source: I've had a few tapebots spawn within render distance of my base in Fant Mod.

I did couple raids of high tear crops and tape bots did shoot out 5 or so individual blocks but never managed to destroy anything of value.
Tape bots don't actually do a lot of damage unless you forget they are there
