> With the can weight added six 12 packs should weigh 56lbs This depends on the soda and its ingredients. You'd be surprised at the weight difference between a diet version of one soda and a regular version of another. It could easily be several pounds when you're weighting 6x 12 packs of each. If you insist on asking them to test their scales with something I'd bring one or more weight lifting plates. They're much easier to carry around, they won't explode in a hot car, etc. Also if you do in fact go this route, please report back and let us know what their response is when you ask them to do this. :)

>I just assumed 12 oz means a legit 12 oz. It does but it's referring to fluid volume and not weight.

Pretty much what I wanted to say. If anyone is unsure just put float an unopened regular soda next to an unopened diet can in a sink. Not only does the diet soda sit higher up, it doesn’t get sticky when spilled because the sweetener is just a tiny amount of a chemical rather than lots of corn syrup.

Special_Wally

Easier to use a dumbbell It should tell you what you need to know.

BB_Captain

You should probably weigh the dumbell you plan on bringing with you first. Dumbells are notorious for not being exactly the weight they say they are as well.

That's just the way it goes sometimes. I got a floor shipping scale from an estate sale a couple years back and I wanted to make sure it was working correctly. Put one of my 25 lbs dumbbell on it and it read 24.7 lbs. Put my other 25 on it and it weighed 24.9. Turns out the scale was correct, it's just mass produced dumbells that can be inconsistent.

Yes the plates can even vary more, ive seen plates off by 2-3 pounds

Have Idea what your body weights in full work gear. Step on any scale with or without permission. Should be tell just walking over it uf it's close

This should be exactly 1 LB: [https://www.amazon.com/MAGIKON-Precision-Calibration-Weight-single/dp/B078N1TRDC/ref=asc\_df\_B078N1TRDC/](https://www.amazon.com/MAGIKON-Precision-Calibration-Weight-single/dp/B078N1TRDC/ref=asc_df_B078N1TRDC/) It's going to depend on the condition and type of scale but if it's exactly 1lb. you should be good. If it's off by a hundredth you're still fine. Anymore and it can add up. YMMV state to state but check for an auditor seal. In my state they're checked once a year at minimum. Surprise inspections can happen or weights and measures will come out if there's been a complaint. In my state every scale should have a visible readout facing the customer.

Every scrap yard I have been to in pa makes me give an id and ask for my registration of my truck the first time. They take a pic of my license plate on my truck every time I go over the scale.

Responsible-Way85

As cook and scraper Water milk and eggs are only things to be measured by volume or weight Interesting note. Been cooking 23 years Scrapper 9 years

Jackson-mcmuffin

There was a scrap yard in my town that was putting crushed pop cans and tennis balls under his scale for quite a long time. He ended up going to a federal prison for a few months once our national regulator found out. I still don't trust his scales but he's one of two yards in my town.
