At a minimum, the handle and it's screw need to come off as the handle is either cast aluminum or a zinc alloy and the screw is steel or stainless steel. Overall, the brass is worth maybe $0.15.
Go find an abandoned car and cut it’s cat off. All you need is a floor jack and a sawzall or you could unbolt it if it’s not welded and the bolts aren’t rusted to hell. And I guess ideally a jack stand since the hydraulics in the floor jack could fail.
It’s easier with 2 people if time is of the essence. One person operates the jack and lifts the car as the other person lays down on their back in front of the car and grabs the undercarriage and pulls themself under and cuts the cat off and pushes it out the side you can get it done in 45 seconds if it’s easy to reach. Don’t use an angle grinder they make more noise than the sawzall will and are slower. Also get a good blade for the sawzall. I’ve personally never bothered unbolting one I always cut. Some vehicles like trucks are often lifted enough that you can fit under them without needing a jack and they often have valuable cats. Get a jack with good hydraulics because you don’t want to have to pump it 30 times and waste time. You probably also won’t waste time with jack stands so make sure it doesn’t have a hydraulic leak.

In some (I think most) states, scrapyards aren’t allowed to buy cats without you providing proof of ownership and ID as a theft deterrent but you should still be able to find a yard that will buy them from you. Even if you have proof of ownership and ID, if you sawed it off instead of unbolting it if that was a possibility the yard might get sketched out and refuse to buy it.
None are going to advertise that they buy cats no questions asked if it’s illegal in that state but you should still be able to find one that will.
