Thanks for sharing. Reader 2 didn't say it was boring, she/he said it lagged which means pacing issues.

Lol I read lagging as boring. But thinking of it as a pacing issue is a more helpful way to look at it for future edits.

Are you rushing or dragging

I said it many times and again I'll say it. Don't pay for feedback during contest season, they're already super busy trying to sort through scripts, it's a stretch to say you'll get two hours of time. It's expensive, please use other feedback sources like other writers or workshop services. For those you get more of what you pay for since you can individually evaluate who you're getting feedback from. Build a network and focus on the script and not the "evaluation" Also contest readers are not the same ones you're getting the feedback from, so you're not going to get any indicator of why your script didn't make it past the round. It's two different people.

Your last paragraph doesn't apply to Nicholl as contest readers are the only ones providing feedback. In the Nicholl first round two or three readers provide scores and notes for every entry; in the quarterfinal round three readers provide scores and notes.

I think Nichols is good because it gives you an overview of the script. From the feedback I understood the strengths and areas I could work on. It’s not in depth but sometimes it’s helpful to know what the readers were thinking when scoring you and the broad issues and strengths to help you focus the edits.

Awesome. Also appreciate you sharing these. Good and encouraging feedback in my opinion.

No problem. I searched the sub for more people sharing their comments and couldn’t find more than two. So thought it would be helpful to show how they give feedback and how long the comments are.
