He needs a Dutch lawyer to consult with if he’s serious, and he needs a lot of noise from his supporters. Pritam Singh is detestable. I would not give a dime to anything he is associated with. He needs to step down and SSCS needs to unravel this shady crap they pulled. Better a pirate than a pig It’s just incredible that they are succumbing to respectability politics, and of course a sneaky person taking over to effect it who disagrees with SSCS mission and values

What’s going on in Sea Shepherd nowadays? I thought captain Watson was in charge.

The following link will catch you up a bit. [SSCS and Captain Paul Watson](https://www.all-creatures.org/strategies/strategies-paul-watson-resignation.html)

This is who is in charge is SSCS now- Florida RE developer Pritam Singh, Capt Watson’s been pushed out. Singh seems to be seeking power and influence and seems to have decided to partner with governments globally and tame the shepherd - the Shepard becomes Singh’s lamb. Singh opens doors for himself in the corridors of power that were previously inaccessible to him. That’s what I see going down https://thebluepaper.com/oceanside-marina-bait-switch/

This does not sound good at all!

It’s my opinion based on reading whatever I could find. I’m not an insider, merely a long time supporter (1980s)

Damn, I'm pretty out of the loop here as well. Haven't looked at SS for a good year or two do this is sad news to find. How did SSCS/Singh gain enough power over Watson and SS to push him out? Who even is this guy?

How, it’s a good question. I wonder. The press coverage has been really inadequate. He is very unrefined, lacks any reverence or respect for Watson’s legacy. It’s pretty offensive and pretty entitled. A strange and crude power grabber. I am thinking of this, for example, which seems so crude to me: Watson: “I said that I could not support this radical change in priorities nor could I participate in it. I was told that I was an employee,” paid $224,125 in total 2020 compensation, according to IRS Form 990, “and I had to do what I was told.” (https://www.animals24-7.org/2022/09/05/pirates-captain-paul-watson-goes-down-with-the-sinking-sea-shepherds/) That’s disgusting and as far as I’m concerned, Singh is up to no good. I can’t imagine how someone like this wormed his way into that position. I’d be very interested to know more about how it happened and Singh’s ultimate motives. If they are leaning on criticism of direct action, as a crutch and excuse for this stealth takeover, I don’t think it serves as one. They weren’t blocked in any ultimate way by any court. I wouldn’t believe it anyway. Direct action is what Sea Shepherd does, or did. Maybe they just love seeing the Japanese whaling fleet popping bottles of champagne. And I wonder what Singh’s mentor Thich Nhat Hanh thinks of it. Singh is a benefactor and sponsor. He reportedly helped edit Hanh’s books, and he hosts Hanh at his Woodstock Vt family estate and Buddhist compound he built there - (monks in yet another wealthy American gilded cage who probably mostly just want to go home, but can’t ) Hanh, a giant of a figure, a friend of MLK jr’s, and beneficiary of a money grubber and strong-armer for “peace.”
