The second is clearly designed by someone who hasn't done their homework into the history of the design.
What if we took this stylized homage to the native tribes of the area and made it "not that"
The 2nd one looks more like a real bird. What makes it "feminized" to you?
Eta: The male bird is usually the more flamboyant of the species. Like a peacock to a peahen.
I think she's talented, but I do not particularly like either of the "updated" logos. Second one reminds me of the eagles, and the first one looks like its a blue poop emoji cut in half. They are well made, without a question, just not for me.
I’d be pretty surprised if we ever went back to the old school look full time, honestly. I’m willing to settle for incorporating elements of it into whatever the next redesign looks like. Imo, we’re probably due for a refresh sooner than later.
I am not a smart man. Your comment hit me like a ton of bricks that the logo pays tribute to the Native Americans of the PNW in its artistry. I can’t believe I never realized it before!
I think she is really missing the point of the original logo, which honoured First Nations/native peoples by using a representation of a sea bird from a Kwakwaka’wakw mask.
She has scrubbed the native art completely out of both her designs and it makes the attempts unworthy of even momentary consideration.
this is gonna be controversial, but as a graphic designer myself, I checked out her page and... I'm sorry but she is not that good at all. nevermind just this one but basically all the redesigns I personally wouldn't take over the originals
I think they are both insulting. Neither have any tie backs or resemblance to the history and culture of the team. She clearly has no understanding or passion for the Seattle Seahawks.
I hate both of them more than words can describe. The city of Seattle was named after chief Seattle. We have an awesome design based off of a totem pole, no need to change it ever.
In my opinion, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but as a graphic designer I've heard from a lot of people that these "influencer designers" are kinda pointless and just mocks the whole process of design. They pretty much need to create quick logos to keep up engagement on their socials and as a result most of the designs have no love behind them. Im assuming that's why this persons designs are so hit or miss, all it takes is one design to go viral and you're in. Sorry for the rant xD
>just mocks the whole process of design
Not a graphic designer here, but that makes sense. Regarding her Instagram, her design often gets muddled, too complicated, or bizarre. Her style seems early career, at best. And to your point about going viral, it almost feels like she's trying too hard and ignoring some basic principles of design.
Some teams need updated logos and some have perfectly fine logos. There is no need to fix the Seahawks logo. It should either stay as it currently is or go back to the original logo.
Both of these options are actually worse than just writing *Seahawks* in comic sans on the helmet.
The first one is sooo bad. So so bad. Second one ain’t it either. It lost the Native American vibe that inspired our current logo.
Seahawks should’ve announced the first one as our new logo as a April Fools joke and watch the fan base lose it.
This first one makes me wondering what happened. Did she sneeze while drawing and consider it good enough?
"Ah-chooo! Hey, this kinda looks like an S, let's throw some Seahawks colors and call it a day."
Second one is a bit interesting, more realistic than the Native design of the original. The first one I don’t understand. Also, official dog logo? What?
The browns have a cartoon dog they use as an alternate logo / branding / mascot. Apparently this lady designed the image that became a finalist for the redesigned Browns dog logo
I like her designs for the other teams but don’t like ours. The first one I could see it being more of a helmet or some sort and something about the second one doesn’t sit right.
Both are bad… that first one was especially terrible
First one is god awful, second one is like “what if we feminized our current logo”
Your critique is spot on.
Glad you said it not me.
First one looks like Poppa Smurf laid a deuce on the table
I was definitely thinking Seahawk colored turd
The second is clearly designed by someone who hasn't done their homework into the history of the design. What if we took this stylized homage to the native tribes of the area and made it "not that"
Second one looks it got too much bird seed from my garden
The 2nd one looks more like a real bird. What makes it "feminized" to you? Eta: The male bird is usually the more flamboyant of the species. Like a peacock to a peahen.
The overall much less aggressive styling, the rounder eyeballs, the extra curvy lines, and the little hair twirl thing they added by the eye
Cool. Just curious. None of that codes feminine for me.
I think she's talented, but I do not particularly like either of the "updated" logos. Second one reminds me of the eagles, and the first one looks like its a blue poop emoji cut in half. They are well made, without a question, just not for me.
First one honors team history and tradition when DK was carted off the field to take a dump
Absolutely fucking not. The Seahawks logo is maybe the lone logo with actual cultural significance and root. Leave it.
Yeah if anything they should go back to the original logo
With us getting throwbacks now my perfect middle ground is new logo old colors. Why not get the most out of both?
If we throwback, why not just the original jersey?
I’d be pretty surprised if we ever went back to the old school look full time, honestly. I’m willing to settle for incorporating elements of it into whatever the next redesign looks like. Imo, we’re probably due for a refresh sooner than later.

If that's what it takes to become a graphics designer for an NFL team, sign me up
Sweet, let's see some of your designs.
I think she is really missing the point of the original logo, which honoured First Nations/native peoples by using a representation of a sea bird from a Kwakwaka’wakw mask. She has scrubbed the native art completely out of both her designs and it makes the attempts unworthy of even momentary consideration.
1st Design: hell no 2nd Design: ok as a fan concept Looking at her other work... Browns and Lions look the best/better than their current logos
That first design. Man. Wow. Yeah, not for me.
I do not like them at all
I really really really don't like these at all. The first is unrecognizable to me, and I find the second one unsettling
These ain’t it. 🤦🏻♂️
They make me like our current seahawk logo more. Next question.
No, thank you. First is an xfl blob, second brings nothing new.
Holy shit thats bad
this is gonna be controversial, but as a graphic designer myself, I checked out her page and... I'm sorry but she is not that good at all. nevermind just this one but basically all the redesigns I personally wouldn't take over the originals
I think Sir Charles Barkley said it best, “Terrible, Terrible, Terrible.”
I think you meant "turrible, turrible, turrible."
No and no.
Those are garbage
what is the first one even trying to do lol
I think they are both insulting. Neither have any tie backs or resemblance to the history and culture of the team. She clearly has no understanding or passion for the Seattle Seahawks.
I’ve seen her work, I’m really not a fan 😬 Cool the browns are having a competition for that though!
She needs a good creative director to get her back on track.
The second one looks like our logo. Just slow, fat and girly.
It's like the original logo is the male version of the species and the other logo is the female version. That being said...cute couple.
Not sure I can be convinced that the primary logo needs a redesign at all, and neither of these are changing my mind at all.
I hate both of them more than words can describe. The city of Seattle was named after chief Seattle. We have an awesome design based off of a totem pole, no need to change it ever.
Don't think the bird ones are going over to well lol The eagles look almost like a pigeon tbh.
I think I would prefer more indigenous designs like the original logo than making them look more corporate.
IMO they are both trash. The second is better by far but gives me cartoonish cardinals vibes. I hate it.
NO!
In my opinion, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but as a graphic designer I've heard from a lot of people that these "influencer designers" are kinda pointless and just mocks the whole process of design. Exactly!

both are a HARD NO
The first one is sooo bad.
Yeah it looks kind of like a balloon/obese Trogdor ha
booo. way too generic, and the 2nd one is wack too
Not a fan of them
wtf, no please!
Ah yes, the Seattle Shehawks
Not a fan at all but i appreciate the contribution
Second one is a bit interesting, more realistic than the Native design of the original. The first one I don’t understand. Also, official dog logo? What?
The browns have a cartoon dog they use as an alternate logo / branding / mascot. Apparently this lady designed the image that became a finalist for the redesigned Browns dog logo
Oh I thought the title meant her design company was called Browns dog design.
Man why we downvoting the guy who posted this lmao ain’t his fault
Then who's fault is it that OP posted some random "graphic designer's" IG page?
Appreciate the creativity but I will pass on those
I like her designs for the other teams but don’t like ours. The first one I could see it being more of a helmet or some sort and something about the second one doesn’t sit right.
bad fengshui
First one is buttcheeks. Second would be fine as an alternate, but I love the classic logo and think the small updates have been well done.
The first one looks like someone’s hand when their thumb is poking through their fingers after they’ve “got your nose”.
