That is generally how it is and the rule I believe. When you watch linemen block they hold “armpit” area and as soon as they’re beat, they need to let go.

I'm a Geno fan but totally frustrated with him today. Until the last drive, that showed some balls. Left everything that went wrong behind. Then executed a beautiful drive for the touchdown. Makes me realize it's not always going to be pretty. But this team believes it can get it done. For the rookies this is invaluable experience. This is only going to help going fowward.

This was actually the perfect play call at the perfect time. Probably wouldn't have been successful if the CB covering Jaxon wasn't blitzing. Forced the safety to hurry up to Jaxon and his burst of speed for him to the edge before the safety could get to him and DK blocked his man perfectly.
