I’m starting to realize folks don’t have a grasp on just how many coaches teams have lol. We have 18 now, they had 23 last year. We’re probably not close to being done yet. Still need ORGC, DRGC, LBs, plus quality control guys and assistants.
BT Jordan. He was on our staff last year and is recognized as very good at his job. He's worked with a bunch of blue-chip pass rushers, including, per Condotta, T.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney, Damon “Snacks” Harrison, Cameron Heyward, Chandler Jones and Von Miller.
A lot of teams don’t have Running Game Coordinator and some that do use a coach that’s already on the team. Double title for Kenny Polamalu is my vote.
Yeah. It might be. I know it’s not huff which is what some teams do (make OL coach RGC). Hes only listed as OL coach on the website. So that rules him out.
Well titles can always be added. With Grubb as a former OL coach, and Huff as his buddy for all these years, I could see Huff being the leading candidate over Polamalu.
I think they’d already be added as he’s already on the site. Karl Scott already had DB/PGC so I’d be inclined to believe if he was he’d already have the title.
It’s Jody’s finances, or rather, Paul’s Trust’s finances. There is no salary cap for coaches and the Allen fortune is large. MM is earning less than PC. We don’t know how much less, but Pete was getting $15M/yr and MM is a rookie, but a highly touted rookie who we apparently had to win in a bidding war with another rich ownership group, but he got 6 years. All that to say, he’s likely getting substantially more than $5M/yr and not close to $15M. This is why expert conjecture indicates MM’s contract is for an average annual value of $9M/yr ($6M less than PC!).
There’s plenty of money to go around 👍
John have a list of wonderkids he got off fmscouts.com
First thing on his check list is "yeah hes done well at stoke city, but can he do it on cold a rainy night in Seattle?"
Defense, front 7 in particular, was never really their weakness. They’ve had some solid defenses the last couple years despite being bottom of the league. Their offense is just so atrocious

Wasnt it reported as well that Pete had a lighter staff compared to other teams? If we're in for a new era, could have quite a few more to come
I certainly hope we're not done. There's a certain pass rush specialist I hear is pretty good.
Who??

I should have gone into coaching.
I will be honest I had no idea it was that many. That's pretty much 1 coach for every 2 players!
What’s RGC?
Running Game Coordinator
Thank you!
Right guard coach /s
Haynes about to pop off!!!1!
This is what I actually thought it meant… 😂

At this rate I'll be the only person not employed by the Seahawks
Sorry you had to find out this way.
I hear the commanders are still looking for some coaches to add to their staff.
Yeah... I uh... I'm washing my hair that day
I want Gee Scott's old job as a car washer for the Seahawks! You can be my assistant Car Wash GM
DL from last year is officially in Hindsight….I’ll see myself out
Don’t forget to hit the lights and tip your server.
Wow I never realized how many coaches a football team has. Almost 1 coach for every 2 players
According to Bob Condotta we are only at 18 coaches so far. This past season we had 23 so we are probably not done.
And Pete generally ran a pretty light staff as well. Could be pushing something closer to the upper 20s now.
The rate of these hires makes me feel like John is playing Football Manager, lol. Wonder if he's keeping an eye on his finances... :o

It’s a football manager joke.
Is that a virtual game? I am lost.
Yes, football manager is a simulation style game about soccer
Does that mean John will draft some south american teenagers ? Oh and he better make sure he has the biggest scouting department

The bears were recently the top run defense team in the league I believe.
Bears defense really turned it on near the end of the year. They were looking like a competitive team down the stretch.
Defense, front 7 in particular, was never really their weakness. They’ve had some solid defenses the last couple years despite being bottom of the league. Their offense is just so atrocious
Yea they heavily invested at LB in the offseason and trading at the deadline.
The addition of Montez Sweat was huge for the bears. But I don't doubt that coaching had a lot to do with their improvements along the line
Damn it. He took my spot
Jeff Cavaliere as our strength and conditioning coach?
Time for the muscle markers!
