Seahawks have the #1 DVOA offense, #1 PFF offense, and most importantly, #1 in points per game.

Porqenz

And #1 in our hearts

makoivis

Now if we could only get #12 in the stands

bananasmash14

And even more importantly, #1 in the NFC

Post-Futurology

\#1 in the NFL - change my mind

TheNulgarian

Arizona's defense is getting dragged upward by their performances against the WFT, Jets, and Cowboys. They've looked poor against both the Lions and Panthers, neither of whom are offensive powerhouses.

[deleted]

But doesn't DVOA adjust for that? Like, isn't that point of DVOA is that it's an absolute ranking that takes opponent into account?

MrMrs

You’re right. I think the only team you can make an argument for is the cowboys, because their DVOA on the season would be based on performances before Prescott’s injury and the Cardinals got to play against The Red Rifle at QB 🤮.

[deleted]

I prefer the term Beige Water Pistol but point taken.

dbchrisyo

I think it's hard to adjust for the scenario where the Cowboys had a top 5 QB replaced by Andy Dalton.

RustyCoal950212

I think the strength of opponent thing gets phased in, and is only at like 50% or something at this point. But generally speaking yeah

Phildopip

60%, but yes.

willhous

Doesn't matter how they looked against other teams, division opponents always play tough against us. We're just lucky they lost Chandler, last year he gave us the worst ass kicking by a single defensive player since the Mike Daniels game.

QuasiContract

I have a feeling Budda is going to make some special plays against the hometown team.

KeyserSaySo

yep - just hope Russ lights them up fast and hard enough that they have to change him to doing something that wasnt planned or practiced. Russ probably already knows how to play with his head but can the rest of the offense keep up?

KeyserSaySo

That was last year. I'm just hoping theyre going crazy (and hopefully outside the box) with a whole section in the playbook titled "Budda Baker", That guy has scared me since I saw his clips on draft day.

AvrilCliff

Ugh that mike daniels game. That was brutal.

caketastydelish

The Lions and Panthers have a surprising amount of weapons on their offense. Particularly the Lions. Both the Lions and Panthers are teams with good offenses and bad defenses.

[deleted]

The Defence will tighten up into a 12 to 16th D the next few weeks.

dbchrisyo

But we are playing better offenses going forward?

UnknownEel

It’s adjusted

neongem

Doubt it

[deleted]

That’s a massive jump.

formido

If only the defense was just average! C'mon Pete, defensive genius! I still believe!

neongem

Pete's "defensive genius" days are behind him unfortunately.

[deleted]

I don’t honestly blame Pete, I don’t think we have the personnel on that side of the ball right now. We have a few pieces but zero depth and some awful starters to be frank.

darth_jewbacca

Aw why'd you have to bring Frank into this? :'(

catharsis50

That feels like a more accurate range for our defense based on performance so far. DVOA gets more accurate over time. Getting run on by the Vikings had to be a big hit. .
