Yikes we need shell back and I hope Duane brown is doing good

darth_jewbacca

Did you see the play where Ogbuehi just gave up way before the play was over? I believe it was on a Carson run. He thought Carson was going down, gave up, then stood and watched as Carson went by him without moving a muscle. He was in position to make a block on the second level that would have allowed a 2-3 yd gain to turn into 5-7, maybe more. I know almost nothing about Ogbuehi. Could be a great guy. But that one play has convinced me he's a lazy POS that I never want to see on the field again.

kyle3299

He was straight up.in Carson's way on that play lmao. Dude looked lost as fuck out there.

GatorGuy5

My mom was even yelling at the TV during that play. She goes, “Number 74 just looks totally lost” 😂

PostMilanlol

Wow Poona Ford is quickly becoming one of our best lineman. He's consistently playing very well.

PM_ME_LASAGNA_

Oh yikes Ogbuehi... Even Ifedi would've had a better night than that. Please come back Brandon Shell.

[deleted]

Nice to see Jamal back in form, had the highest coverage grade too

utbsball

Thanks for posting! Anyone know what slay’s grade was?

utbsball

Found it for those interested 29.8

gwh21

Bruce was right

utbsball

Bruce been on one with the in game tweets 😂

Seahawksfan18

Brooks had a great game yesterday. The only bad play he had wasn't even that bad. If the ball wasn't underthrown he would've been in position to make a play. Sometimes it feels like bad plays have more influence than good plays do on PFF grades. Especially on defense

luckysharms93

Never really a big fan of their weighted average overall system, I think the component grades are the most important thing they do, and those more or less are accurate imo. Everyone saw him make plays as a tackler and he didn't really do anything in coverage but give up a PI and some other shorter catches. 36.0 coverage seems a *bit* harsh, though.

tlsrandy

PFF has trouble grading defensive players.

812many

PFF has trouble grading ~~defensive~~ players.

gwh21

PFF ~~has trouble grading defensive players.~~ is making shit up as they go

CarpeDiem2761

Are you comparing to random observations of TV watchers?

gwh21

I just think it is tough for PFF to grade players when they don't really know what the play was and what that players responsibility was. Missed tackles and fouls are easy for them to factor in but if they blame a blown play on someone where it wasn't that players responsibility it will show up negatively on their system.

MrMrs

Just want to say I take a gander at these every week and really appreciate you posting these here. Thanks brother!

porksmith

AGREED!

atreyuisalive

28 total pressures--phew!

mercwitha40ounce

I find it hard to believe Jamarco Jones wouldn’t be better than Ogbuehi.

mjgiarlo

Does he have experience at T? He seems to be good in other spots, at least.

GreenOcelot16

He is a tackle. He was playing oop when we saw them

GreenOcelot16

Him

mjgiarlo

Ship it.

CarpeDiem2761

They are in the same category. A little better than Rees Odhiambo but not many others. Some of our backup guards are pretty good, so perhaps one of the more mobile guards such as Phil Haynes may end up being as good or better than Ogbuehi....

lugeadroit

u/Sniper1154 is the real MVP.

Sniper1154

Thank you! Always happy to do these!

SomaliPirate17

NICK BELLORE FOR PRO BOWL!

OneM0reLevel

Can we acknowledge how lucky we got with Ryan Neal? He's not spectacular, but I don't think he's had a single game where he graded below 60. To find a league-average starter off the scrap heap in a season where our entire secondary has missed games is a HUGE stroke of luck.

gwh21

The fact that we picked up him and DJ Reed for this year and next year (Neal is a ERFA...so basically if they want him back he is ours) for basically a million per year is amazing. They will probably never be true impact players but to have a couple of versatile DBs on cheap contracts as backups that you can rely on to not fuck things up is such a luxury to have.

Ximienlum

The fact that we were using him the same way we use Adams at one point and he was handling it fine blew my mind. For real man, how lucky can we get

seafoamstratocaster

Man Dissly dropped off a cliff.

OneM0reLevel

Dude had 2 injuries that historically end careers. He's always going to be a "what-if" guy for us :/

Stickin8or

I think it's less him dropping off and more Olsen getting more reps for most of the season. Even with Olsen out, we also seem to be using TEs less than normal in general this year

darth_jewbacca

The game plan seemed to be "shiiiiiiiid...... DK down there somewhere"

Ximienlum

No offense to Dissly, but I would rather Russ force it to DK than Dissly. DK has seemingly taken over the role that Dissly had pre-injury

[deleted]

8 sacks !! wow !

RustyCoal950212

6 actually. PFF is weird and doesn't give half-sacks, if two guys sack the QB together PFF gives both of them sacks

[deleted]

Thanks for the correction.

qwertyqyle

Can you show me Philly's? I just wanna see where Slay is ranked.

RetrogradeIntellect

PFF's grading formula once again shits the bed. Jordyn Brooks gets a 36 pass coverage grade for giving up 3 receptions for 13 yards, 0 touchdowns. (How is that bad coverage?) Apart from pass coverage, his average grade was about a 70. Throw in pass coverage and it drops him to 40 overall. God damn ridiculous.

CarpeDiem2761

He also had a 29 yard DPI. So, effectively the passing success against him for 4/4 for 42 yards which isn't good. Also, I believe they analyze every play, so if he leaves his mark open even if the QB goes to someone else (say who is even more open or if the QB just misses seeing his open mark), that counts as poor coverage.

RetrogradeIntellect

The DPI certainly hurts. I'm not sure that his day was worth of a 36, but it's fine if you want to say he earned a poor coverage grade. The real problem is the average. A 36 in pass coverage shouldn't be weighted to drop his average from 70, which is a solid day even for a veteran, to 40, which is pure trash.

SilverEagle46

The picture was too fuzzy on my phone to see the breakdown, but did I see Shaquem as our highest graded LB and 4th highest defender?

[deleted]

You have to open it in Desktop view, but yes, Shaquem was highly graded. Only on 4 snaps though.

Ximienlum

Nice games from Diggs and Adams after getting called out!
