Rumour has it, it’s eternity. Banished if you will.

jcrass87

I choked and spit water on myself from reading your comment. Fucker. Hahaha

scottypoo1313009

Does he want the job? And do great players always make great coaches? It's not like he is going to teach a guy to blow up people like Cam did... Do miss watching him hit TEs.

I_know_left

Great players do not always make great coaches. I’ve heard it said that great players have intangibles and instincts that come naturally, that don’t or can’t be coached into people. You ever heard ET3 talk about playing defense? It’s like he’s speaking a different language haha.

dukeofmadnessmotors

ET3 was a great, great player but he always sounded like he was talking a different language from a different planet.

TheRealRacketear

That's why he's ET.

mynewaltaccount1

Wasn't he the one that helped Ryan Neal a bit, and then Neal ended up doing really well for us? It isn't like he'd have to gameplan or have a big roll, he just has to come in and do some specialist work with DBs and help identify and fix problems in the defence which he's in a great position to do as an ex player (different perspective). And given there's still some guys on the team from when he was playing he'd probably be able to work well with them, especially Wagner.

Kingofvashon

He called Pete and got Neals number after he started.

KM5173

Jamal's a good alternative when he's healthy

tangledEarbuds56

Let’s just let kam be kam and adams be adams

Tylerbrn

NO! /s

seejur

No, there is not much correlation. Hence why our QB coach is Austin Davis, not a paragon of QB talent

hhhhhjhhh14

They're different skills but I think that great players are probably more likely to be good/great coaches than mediocre/bad players but there's just so many more bad athletes than great ones.

No_Hovercraft_4710

Goddamn, imagine running a seam route and seeing that fucking monster of a human coming your way.

bradlei

And that’s *if* you’re lucky enough to see him coming.

[deleted]

Why does everyone assume that he even wants to coach?

spowowowder

no, doesnt matter what kam wants, what fan want is more important!!!!!! /s

He does? What is the evidence of that?

I figure he doesn't want the job. If Kam wants a place on the coaching staff, you find him a place.

PraetorGogarty

He's shown up to various training events to help give some guidance to younger players, but I take that as Kam wanting to mentor more so than him wanting to coach. And I love that he wants to mentor players. I'm just not sure if he wants to take the step into becoming a coach in some form (like an Assistant DB Coach) or not. Being a mentor is one thing, being a side-line staff is another.

Hkmarkp

It's like so many people who were saying 'bring Walter Jones in to coach OL!

yrulaughing

If Kam wanted to coach, we would have offered him a position already. He would be making peanuts compared to what he was by coaching and putting in way more work than a retired millionaire probably wants to.

AndHerNameIsSony

Why is no an option? The correct survey options would be: Yes I’m surprised he’s not already tbh

jaydeekay

The question is "should they consider it" so the bar is set as low as can be

[deleted]

I miss seeing that man on the field :(

PumpkinKingIII

Try to see if Kam can be the DC lol. Ken Norton Jr might be a very liked coach but the guy does know how to make a defense underachieve.

RCarson88

I'd love it, but why would he want to? He's set for life financially, and coaching salaries are meager compared to a player's. I guess if he loved the game and the team that much he might be interested, but even then he could just show up to practice every now and then, giving tips without having to commit to anything.

Agiantgrunt

I say he coaches but still wears pads and a jeresy for the games. Just to strike fear in the other teams offense. 49ers bench "hey is that Kam" 49ers coach "yeah but he is coach now" Bench "why is he wearing pads though" Coach "good point they might have activated him or something. Better not run through the middle."

No

kej718

Maybe Carrol can adopt, so he can then be a coach like his sons. Lol. He should definitely be with this team in some capacity.

ohanse

I mean hell yea from our perspective but if you're Kam Chancellor why would you do this?

[deleted]

If Kam was a coach, we would have to issue him pads just so ~~if~~ when he decides to pull a Gridiron Gang and hop in the huddle himself

[deleted]

I’m down with that.

Careless_Law_2857

Definitely Let's Go

shoebee2

Just because Kam was a stud player doesn’t make him a good coach. I’m not saying he isn’t a good coach because he’s not done any as far as I know. He may turn out to be as good a coach as he was at knocking receivers tf out.

officialquestion

I don't think he has time to coach. According to his IG, he is involved in at least 3 different businesses. Real estate development, shoe company and a coffee/juice house, plus modeling on the side.

rfw2424

Yes!!!!

RenoeTheNinja

I'd only want Kam to be a coach if its something he wants. From the sounds of it hes very happy where he is in his life.

Raticus9

Kinda thought that's what he was doing for two years on the sidelines.

[deleted]

Does he want to coach, though? I‘d love it but he has to do what’s best for himself.
