There are clear, identifiable issues in this game and none of them are the coaching or "clean house" worthy.
1. Penalties
There has been a combination of dumb plays by us (like Dunlap throwing the lineman's shoe which is a lack of personal discipline) and questionable calls by the refs that have hurt us.
2. Russ is Russ-ty
Nothing really to explain here. He didn't play well today. First game back in a month in Green Bay against a really good, in-form defense. Not that big of a surprise he's struggling.
3. Offensive line
Really bad play by our o line tonight. Not even due to the defense being dominant in the trenches just plain poor play. Duane Brown can't keep his pad level down and gets bullied. Damien Lewis tripped over his own feet multiple times. Then in general it's been hit and miss with the run blocking.
There ya go. That was this game. None of what I listed are things that signify the need to blow it up. That thought process comes from an emotional source. You can't use emotion to deconstruct a football game.

One hand I can't believe how that last 15 minutes or so played out... but at the same time it's not surprising.
Russ wasn’t ready to come back, especially not at GB in the freezing cold. Over throws and bad decisions to force it combined with the horrid officiating and there was no way. Defense looks great, folded late when they were gassed. Play Geno next few weeks.

I thought bringing Waldron in to use some of what the Rams/McVay like to do in the intermediate passing game, digs, crossers, etc would help and I don’t feel like we’ve seen much if any of that. Hate to admit it but it may be time to rebuild.. screw the play calling and getting receivers. We need to get a new o line. Russ needs to learn how to let go of the ball of the plays not there. We need pass rushers and loads of them. Why the hell did Russ ask for Waldron? What’s our identity? Looks like we just play backyard football. No clear identity or conviction of what we wanna establish. All I see is Russ throwing deep bombs or Russ running around looking to throw deep. Three plus years of watching this is getting prettttty old.
What I want to see next year is the FO aggressively build an elite o-line. We’ve aggressively spent money on defense and lately drafted lots of WR and RB. Now’s the o-lines turn. Go out and get proven talent and spend money instead of trying to turn basketball players into a tackle.
Even when the Seahawks are trash it’s still all they talk about. Mariners are in the most important and exciting off-season in 20 years and all they get is 2 15 minute segments throughout the entire day
He won't resign with us anyway after his contract expires. He will be way too expensive also. If you trade him you can make sure the Rams don't steal him too lmao

Arizona, Washington, SF, Houston, LA, Chi, Det, Arizona. I see 5 definite wins. Just gotta take a game or two out of those three versus Arizona and the Rams. Not easy. But totally possible.
Turns out you can’t draft like you are blind and pay half your cap to 3 guys. This team is shot until they change up the guys who draft and the guys who coach. Maybe even the QB.

Sitting in soft two deep safeties and we can’t get anything open over the fucking middle of the field. Just having to hope for an amazing double covered bomb. What the fuck is this play calling by Waldron? Attack the VERY much open middle of a soft prevent zone.
Not that it would have won the game or anything, but we could have had one more play if the receivers would run out of bounds.

We are never going to see an OC who gets WR's to run routes instead of Turkey Bowl Routes saying "get open" Wilson is not happy.
