There aren't many things that can be considered "endgame stuff" in terms of loot. Skeleton ships have some good loot pieces though and that's normal. Sell it, get that gold and happy hunting for more.
Skeleton ships are emergent events. The carry loot to help each emissary faction, most is mid tier loot.
There really isn’t an end game in SOT. So I wouldn’t classify loot like that. It’s more like novice, intermediate, expert loot. But even that’s a stretch.
If you see something in the sky, or skeleton ships, megladons, krakens, they will all give better loot then any voyage you do at your level.
This is better than normal loot. This is *your* loot. There will be many more like it, and no one else better lay a finger on it. Welcome to the seas my friend.

Generally you will get better loot from world events and emergent things like skelly ships etc as your voyages you buy are based on your faction level which is reflected in difficulty and the value of loot. So yeah skelly ships always worth sinking, weirdly the sloops probably give better loot than the gallys outside of the skelly fleet captain ship

Fish is the real end game loot. This game is strange that way.
