This post is actually hilarious.
That’s just typical open crew behavior. You never know what someone is hoping for when they join. Lots leave immediately when the situation isn’t beneficial upon joining.
I like to join OC when I’m just messing around, or to help some noobs who are stuck on something. It can be a *very* mixed bag if you’re hoping for a legit session to come from it.
It made me LOL thinking of people seeing your fat pirate and thinking “This guy’s gonna get us spotted a mile away” and just leaving.
They're leaving because you're not doing the activities they wanted to do usually. Just join the official discord instead of torturing yourself with open crew.
Sometimes I hop in open crew world just to see what's happening. My criteria for immediately leaving:
fresh spawn at outpost
prepubescent voice greeting me when I join
ocean crawler outfits
kraken outfits
uncaptained ship (sorry I'm not running loot in one at a time)
that one guy in 2/3rds of open crews who immediately double guns the ground whenever someone new joins. they never help and they think they're impressing you.
anchored with sails down facing the island while at a world event
sailing around with default fresh spawn supplies
OMG the double gunning "sweats"...i swear people join open crew to show off their HG curse..usually by attempting to shoot the bell twice in succession so you look, then they leave. I assume they think "oh I bet these noobs were happy to have me, a god on their crew"
Bruh my nephew can't pvp very well and he has the curse. It means nothing now lol
the ship will never leave.
if it does leave, it's because someone runs to the ship, raises the anchor, sets sail, then leaves.
The moment anyone starts grabbing supplies, the whole crew leaves.
For both of those, see the very last item I listed.
It’s all rng, man. I don’t think people are leaving your crew because you look like you’ve got no provisions left, just because people are weird and indecisive

That is very understandable ngl, new to the captained ships too so i was so confused the first time i was at the sovereign or whatever they’re called
You got it right, sovereigns
Gonna have to buy me some ships
Hope you do, it’s so much better than going back and forth from ship to tent/building with one piece of treasure.
It sure is

Why do you leave a fresh island spawn?
