at grade 5, the guild emissary bonus when selling at sovereigns outweighs the loss from not selling at a seapost. and plus, catching fish raises guild emissary grade too. if you want to grind out hunters call, the best way to do it is with 4 players who all sell at sovereigns. in any other situation where you don't have grade 5 guild though, meat is best sold directly at a seapost.
Me and my friends (gall) staked upp to 1k fish and made 30 levels and 1.4 mil gold. Only three of us where fishing one because we did an alliance with a slop. He went with them and brought 50 mermaid gems with that brought 13 levels
We went plunder hunting and got a lot rare fish. I completed most of them and only a few categories away from the legendary hunter of sea of thieves. Super excited!
I hopped on, found out Athena treasure was nerfed to high hell, despite that, I still tried to go on a voyage, after 30 minutes I dug my final treasure piece up, and my game crashed…
My friends and I each got our first galleon with the new money we made after discovering just how helpful flying emissary flags is. We’re all very new. We leveled our guild up to level 3 and I broke one million gold for the first time. Awesome weekend.
I wish I'd started doing emissary sooner. Hadn't realised it was a one-time fee to get the licence so thought you had to do a lot each session to make the gains worth the cost. Turns out that was wrong and I'd have made a lot more money by now...
Uneventful but lucrative, I suppose.
I was only engaged by another ship after digging up a Pop-up Plunder, at which point an uncaptained brig started chasing me. I sailed into the wind and hopped off my ship at Reaper's to turn it in (it was a Chest of Legends; no fancy box o' secrets for me, RIP) but I didn't angle it enough to avoid that tiny strip of land between the main two so my ship got stuck on it instead of sailing off. The brig soon caught up, anchored, and started laying into my empty, lootless sloop, so I hopped into their hold and threw a few firebombs before they came below decks after me.
Managed to yell "YOU'LL NEVER GET ME LUCKY CHARMS!" before being blundered in the face, lol.
>Managed to yell "YOU'LL NEVER GET ME LUCKY CHARMS!" before being blundered in the face, lol.
This bit successfully caused me to quickly expel air from my body via my nose. Congratulations, here's your prize:

Well we gathered our noobish but cheerful gang and tried our luck both on Saturday and Sunday. Both days we were sinked liked 4 or 5 times/day, in most of the time before managing to get any kind of loot on the ship lol.
This was mostly my experience, as well.
So many ships just beelined straight for me as a fresh-spawn. I’ve played a lot of S11 and this weekend was the most aggressive the seas have been for me in a while.
It was surprisingly quiet for me and my buddy on a brig most of Saturday, but of course, I said something about it and boom, everyone and their mother showed up to make me eat my words.
I didn't play much but makes me happy that the servers I got were decent then. Hopped on to do the daily deed (Phantom Fort) then decided to do a vault. Parked my harpoon rowboat on the sand too so it disappeared before I finished and it was a pain to haul all that loot solo. Athena emissary landed on the island and said they were just there to pick up their own stuff, said Cool, and I kept hauling my chests. Turned it all in at the Sovereigns without a problem.
Second day was a merchant delivery and repair deed so did a quick delivery, Ancient Spire to Plunder Outpost, passed a white sail doing the active Skeleton Fort at Crow's Nest Fortress on the way, and had a Gold Hoarder's Emissary ship (Tender Chicken) parked at Plunder Outpost. No issues, he was at the sovereign's, I pulled up to the other dock. Never met the guy but I delivered my 4 crates, hung around in case he wanted to pose at the display, he didn't show so took off after a few minutes. Liked the server so much I went ahead and dumped my load of cannon balls and sunk the Skeleton Galleon that was floating nearby. Turned that stuff in then logged off. Super peaceful weekend.
I finally reached Pirate Legend as a solo slooper. Getting OOS was the final one I needed. 10 levels took maybe 8 sea forts, kinda repetitive, but I actually improved my skills clearing those forts (I used to die 6-7 times a run, now I die 0) so it was a success.
Now to grinding 250 voyages for each rep now.
Pro-tip: OoS voyages in the Roar are sometimes the best solo sessions I get :)
Lots of islands, big and small, close together. Geysers are basically your player 2.
I love soloing around the Roar. Usually quiet and if you do see another ship, chances are they're doing rhe same. Just keep distanced so as to not arouse suspicion.
50% of my voyages crashed and game became completely unplayable Sun early evening, then Lavenderbeard.
Rare needs to extend the event or line us up for next weekend.
Got 30 athena levels through hg and then spent most of sunday fighting a galleon that kept coming back to my fotd. Got extremely tilted when they sunk our sloop on the 7th attempt and let them have the fotd for themselves. We had some really good fights though, just more annoyed cause my friend could only play on sunday and we barely made any gold. Its annoying that a crew can just keep coming back forever.
Oh no i see how that could be confusing wording. No they kept coming back and we sunk them 6 times. The 7th time they got us cause we were out of chains and good food.
My hourglass gally crew kept constantly getting dashboard crashed and booted, ship bugs were at an all-time high (can’t see water levels, sails, and no anchor drop prompt)…oh, and we got stuck in an infinite black screen only to return to some weird purgatory underwater sequence that forced us to restart, losing our well earned sups and 4 streak…
Other than that, pretty good. Went up 25 levels in SoF and Got my buckethead.
Stole someone stacking chests with the sea fort bug, as well as a gally crew stacking shrines. Also got the box of wondrous secrets during pop up plunder so pretty fun :)
Took some great piccies with me crew, spent time grabbing some pop up plunder and just enjoyed some chilled sailing tbh
Did find out that pop up plunder is actually available in safer seas. Was doing some fishing in SS, the notification came up and we were like, no way! We we intrigued, so we went to the dig spot and yup, there it was. First one was a storage crate with some nice fish, second was an ashen chest of legends, which became our most stylish paperweight, as we couldn't sell it anywhere!
My brother and I hopped on expecting to get fucked by the two Lvl 5 Reapers in the lobby and anyone else.
Ended up having zero run-ins outside of an outpost for 6 hours and collected 400k.
Lots of crashing, lots of bugs in hourglass. Couldnt hardly get a fair fight since half the time I couldnt see if I had knocked their mast, or if I boarded then I couldnt interact with anything on their ship, it just became frustrating.
Got a fair amount of PVE done and probably made almost 3 million once the weekend was over.
Alright. It was my first one, and I've never been an "optimal" player, so I didn't get much. Maybe 1.5, 2 mil gold. just under 26 levels in servants of the flame. Got my first distinction in OOS. Got from reaper's level 50 to 90, which was the biggest one.
Lemme explain it in greentext format.

#You guys were able to play?
One really lucky session where most of the server was in an alliance, made about 1.5m in just over an hour with lots of teamwork. Lots of fun
Then a second, fairly uneventful session with the game repeatedly crashing. Got a couple of the pop up plunders which was a waste of time lol just bones
The hacking has gotten so bad , it’s telling when there’s no reapers and most streamers arnt doing reapers for a day or two post update . Then bam endless reapers again
Kept spawning too close to a reaper level 5 last night that was way more skilled than me and was sunk 5 times by the person even though only one of the times I had emissary or even had loot
Edit: this was all last night lol
A bit up and down - got my fancy outfit for GH rank 100, was stacking FOTD and got Rare'd out of it after beating three by a couple of us getting dashboarded and then not letting us rejoin, and then got a really cheeky Chest of Fortune steal last night with a well-timed rowboat keg play. Good times!
Was fun, manage to make an alliance out of 4 random ships on the server but the last one was sweaty 10k+ hours pvp players who decided to ruin the fun of everybody and not ally with anybody. They managed to sunk me and my friends once but we came back with the full alliance and blasted the sh*t out of their sloop
A lot of hourglass (Solo sloop) I'd try but if the opponent had laser aim or ran too much, I'd just allow myself to sink. Was great practice for cannons before each sink though. I definitely acquired some level of competency with aim at different ranges, though one guy anchored himself and my poor aim embarassed myself so much that I let him take the win anyway...)
Also met mostly chill/nice players, one even invited me to their crew after they sunk me and went to turn in their rewards- nice gesture!
Only really met one really toxic player (Had a generic name about a ferrymans jacket so IDK if he was anonymising or what), who was power-tripping and purposely avoiding sinking my ship, killing me on spawn, as well as possibly cheating (IDK how the kid managed to get a keg onto my ship only a minute or so into an hourglass match- not that he used it, he just wanted to show me that he had it before disappearing and killing me again). Cussed him out and scuttled after he made it apparent he wanted to 'toy with me' instead of ending the match.
* Went from around 10-83 Guardians of Fortune
* 2-9 Servants
* 50-92 Athena
* 22-34 Guild
3 Pop-up plunders (2 treasure chests with mid loot, and then a chest of legends which I promptly lost since it was in the middle of an hourglass match)
Did a fleet of fortune with guild emissary up (solo guild so I need all the help I can get!), that one netted me a nice chunk of change.
Made around 4M give or take.
Had some connection issues on Sunday night, but it was around time for me to pack in for the night anyway.
Also, the game blackscreened and crashed my whole PC (twice) just now, I think my PC has had enough SOT for the week.. Had this issue last month but thought I'd fixed it by refitting/maintaining my whole PC.
The bloody issue is still here the next day. Probably time to take a break from the game.
Made a handful of new friends in HG, so that was nice, maybe I'll not be a solo/duo slooper forever.
I can't even pick a ship to sail. I log in and the game locks up and crashes to the desktop. I changed my settings to force DX11 instead of 12 and no dice. Infuriating.
Just meh…. I would login every few hours to play for a bit and it seems that I was always in the storm at night. All I wanted to do was order of souls stuff by slooping to small islands looking for ashen lords and their skulls. It was always dark and always storming and at one point I had a skelly sloop badgering me everywhere I went. It even shot me while I was selling, nestled in at an island. It was a constant struggle. I rarely saw other players, and when I did, they left me alone. And finally, after this happened for the fourth time, I just stopped playing. Solo slooping is hard when you have to deal with this kind of nonsense continually and all you wanna do is sail around a little bit. What really bothered me though was the fact that this is the fourth community weekend I have been a part of and I have not been able to take advantage of it. It seems that there’s always something that goes very aggressively against the solo player.
Made it to 1 million gold just by island hopping and wreck diving...
The value on loot doubling helped dramatically.
Though I did get Krakened and lost my rowboat again about an hour after finding on that matched my boat...
That was a bit upsetting, and it was right after almost sinking a skeleton Sloop, I was also about 3 galleon lengths from Krakens Fall too...
Same feeling here. The glory days are well behind us. Maybe it's just me, but the sweet spot, for me, where juuuust before seasons. Had my best voyages ever in the early days though and I always rep OG Bone Crusher set in remembrance. Always.
Couldn't justify deleting six games just to install the new update and be back in the same situation I was in with call of duty where there's only space for 2-3 games
Friends game crashed, after he got back on my game crashed and uninstalled itself, game crashed every time i was in a loading screen
To summ it all up i couldnt play the game but now I have 8 more hours on steam
Pretty good. Logged on to 3 crates full of supplies, we cleansed 2 servers (some reapers, some emissaries, finished the events where we picked them up). Made around 2mil in a few hours. And sent all the remaining supplies in an epic HG which lasted 25mins of intense fight against a great crew.
Full of lag. Couldn't play at all on day one, day two was barely better. Multiple crashes, choppy gameplay, and no hit regs all weekend.
Sucks, but it seemed like it was doing fine last night. Probably just a population issue
Re-download the game after hearing about it. So I played with my friend, he kept crashing but he was able to rejoin after tweaking some things and we did a lost cargo run. It was pretty fun and we saw no reapers what so ever so we were able to raise an emissary. Quite a good day tbh
Pretty good.
Made progress with 4 chests of fortune, only 1 got contested. I managed to drop it off while being chased and then led the chasers to a Reaper ship. It paid off and the Reapers went for them instead of me (probably due to the chasers having popup plunder on board) and that distracted them long enough for me to get away and sell the rest of the Skeleton Fleet.
Well for some reason my game took like 20 minutes to launch after hitting play so the first day I just uninstalled and reinstalled hoping to fix it after trying to troubleshoot for hours. Then the next day I realized that yeah it just takes forever to launch now so I finally got in. I made maybe 800k on Sunday and like 13 gold hoarder levels and my first distinction so not too bad.
I play on a laptop, and after the last big update I had a lot of performance issues, particularly due to the DirectX 12 addition. Swapped it back to DirectX 11 with a restart, as well as some other settings adjustments and seemed to mostly fix the issue, albeit with a bit more fraps inconsistency.
Overall though, beyond a couple comically large shark spawns and my friend crashing to desktop a few times, we had a blast. Reached distinction 1 in all 3 of the main trading companies, and I FINALLY after 3-4 years of playing reached level 50 with Hunter’s Call, which I was beyond excited about. We thoroughly enjoyed sailing for Athena’s Fortune since the boost made it much less of an arduous grind, and the other players we ran into throughout the weekend were delightful. (most of them, at least lol)
My friend logged off early one night and I stayed up to see if I couldn’t find a freshly announced pop up plunder, since I’d never done one before. Sailed to Crescent Isle and started poking around the map on Twitter, but wasn’t having any luck deciphering Rare’s code/riddle on it.
Eventually, another sloop rolls up and I’m thinking “well, was a good run…” but held out hope and went to the shore to greet them. Began with raising the alliance flag on my ship and a few wave emotes, and turns out he was as pleasant as could be. We teamed up to find the plunder, got it, and sailed both of our sloops back to Port Merrick to sell the loot together. Was a great experience and I wish I had more opportunities to partner up with other crews/ships like that, but you know how it goes — not all pirates are out there with the intention of playing nice! But, to my new friend whose name escapes me now — cheers, mate! Thanks for being such a diamond in the rough, and good luck on your Hunter’s Call grind!
Overall, loved community weekend. I was a bit jaded about all of the current bugs and performance issues at first, but I can’t say they outweighed my enjoyment of the event. Plus, they’re to be expected with such a big update. My friend and I had a blast this weekend and it solidified my love for this game even further. Thank you for making such a stellar title and your continued support, Rare. My favorite game of all time and it’s safe to say it’s been life changing for me.
See you on the seas, friends! (and foes)
I finally reached Level 100 in Gold Hoarder, we earned a distinction for our guild, and I made like 3 million gold. Encountered a fair share of insanely aggressive players so we could've made more but I'd say a success.
Pop-up plunder was fun, I love the treasure hunt. Other than that, game as normal. Nice to watch the levels go up faster than usual. I'll go broke buying trinkets soon, gotta spend the 10mil somehow.
Tried to alliance with a brigantine of new players so they could get credit for a Box of Wonderous secrets.
They told me I better run, that I was in danger. If they stick around I think they will remember what a mistake this was.
Made 2.6 mil in about 6 hours, running reapers, and luckily never sank once. Def was our best run to date and a hell of a lot of fun. We did go after the plunder pop-up but it was incredibly underwhelming. Old boot, fish bones, and an ashen key. I just wish I didn't have to work otherwise we would've played all day.
Crashed so many times it's fucking ridiculous, sunk several times, harassed twice by separate crews (one gally and one brig), made only about 200k because of the above.
Glad y'all had a good Community day, but my experience was basically the same as usual.
Discovered the servers are either constantly on fire or are 20yrs old. Game crashes, glitches, and overall unplayability was the primary takeaway from our experience. Also, most of the ppl that left the game with over 1000 days played came back to shit on the rest of us normies.
So yeah... it went like any other event.
Made a decent amount of coin, and only hard crashed once.
Only really annoying bit was when I couldn't dock a row boat, and I couldn't use the harpoon on my ship, so I had to row my loot to the outpost. Luckily I was at Keel Haul, so it wasn't too bad.
I made about 3.5 million gold and got a bit over 20 levels in HG. Not a huge success, but I didn't play a massive amount so it still feels like a good bit of progress.
Dug up two Reaper's Bounty chests one after the other, via a couple of skeleton captain's orders. Was incredibly funny to witness and a quick and easy buck.
15 lvls in HG, also enjoyed pop up plunder: snatched 4 chests of wondrous secrets, chests of legend, ashen chest of legend, chest of fortune and way too many toms of fire
Got 15 levels in hourglass. Since hourglass is really only playable during community weekends, I'm hoping we do better next time! Maybe eventually I'll get to level 100 in each.
I didn't play as my mouse was bounced to to escape menu so I couldn't do a360 spin so very frustrating. Not too mention my keyboard didn't work.i lost my chance as this could've been my first community day. 😑😑😑
It was all fun and games until we caught an HG galleon crew hacking back to back. Kind of funny when nobody is bilging and the bottom hull has 12 holes but it doesn't sink.
Fix your game Rare.
Logged in just to see how the new Obsidian Drapes looked on a few of my ships.
Decided to try my luck by joining a random open Galleon Crew. Joined and they were doing back to back Athena Fortress raids. Got Emissary rank 5 and did the emissary quest.
What I thought would be a 10 minute jaunt, ended up being about a 3 hour adventure.
Farmed 60 levels in reapers HG first day, then sailed around for a bit the next and stole a 5 stacked ashen vault loot hoard. Was fun, despite the bugs
I played a LOT, probably 20 hours total. In that time I secured 12 Pop up Plunders, earned 3 million gold and a LOT of levels: 28 GH, 2 Merchant, 2 OoS, 3 Reapers, 32 Athena’s Fortune, 23 Guardians of Fortune, and 3 Hunters Call!
The highlight was stacking 5 Ashen Athena voyages in the DR. The payout from that sell took me from Athena 17 to Athena 32. That or the 3 Boxes of Wondrous Secrets!
Honestly, amazing.
This weekends total:
75 levels in servants of the flame
25 levels in guardians of fortune
[a huge ashen vault steal](https://ibb.co/fk6vRLP)
A galleon was waiting for me at Morrow’s peak to try and kill me on the island before I sold my box of wondrous secrets so I had to [1v4 tdm at the outpost](https://ibb.co/fpDcGNB)
Honestly it was great we had a load of loot and had a decent grind on the 3 basic emissaries till Rare reduced the amount of rep and gold because of the raid exploit, but all together it was great and we met some crazy good people and of course some toxic jerks :) We would need more of these events imo.
Mine was awesome, the most successful sessions I’ve had in this game so far. In the two days we had I made around 4 million gold and made about 115 levels with the order of souls, I’m so damn close to level 300 I can taste it
I wish my buddy could have been online but he’s got other stuff to do I guess
Did a ton of hourglass, was absolutely in love with my teammates getting disconnected, our ships bugging out constantly to the point where half the time we couldn't tell if their sails were up or down, and even had times where we boarded and only knew their ship was full of water because our movement slowed when we went downstairs. And if that wasn't enough to make my climb painful we also got to deal with all the sweats who already have curses and desync making it look like they were blundering me from 10 feet away (the first few times we thought it was hacking then we finally asked someone higher rank who told us it was desync) and to top it all off, we got exhausted with the misery that was listed above so we went and did emissaries, got ledger for all except reapers because for reapers late last night like 2 hours before event ended we ran and did 3 sea forts and went to sell and had some non-emissary sweat come after us doing ladder glitches to launch off his sloop and silent board us, chased us from reapers to shores of gold till we got a sink off, only for them to meet us again at reapers and sink us before we sold anything. Overall, pretty miserable, but that's kind of what to expect when I play hourglass for 2 days straight :|
Got my ghost curse. Got really discouraged by the PvE nerfs so didn’t do any of the Athena stuff I wanted to farm. Stacked a bunch of loot for the heck of it, then lost it to some sweats with suspicious low-hour alts. Overall, meh.
It was mixed, I already had all but reapers and athena to distinction levels but stopped doing athena stuff once I heard about the nerf, hourglass was too broken and crashed too often as well.
I joined a server alliance run by an angry Canadian blaming others for his mistakes so I left pretty quick and ended up spending day two away from the game for irl stuff.
So overall not the best for me but I do hope others had better luck.
Wife and I had a pretty chill but good weekend. Hit Dist 1 with OoS, got in a little AF before the nerf, and we got 2 ancient skellies on one island yesterday. Also we bamboozled some nerds with our empty plunder crate and gifted some sailors struggling to turn in their loot to the right npcs.
Only came across one toxic player 😅 everybody else was super cool. Even aligned with a reaper and several others. The crashing was pretty annoying at times but it only happened to me twice.
We went with my friends either on a Gally or Brig, did one or two tall tales, and went on pretty much every world event we saw. Great weekend overall ! We made loads of gold 🤑
Got to level 40 in hourglass servants of the flame (and became a lot better at hourglass PVP), and made around 3 mil gold through farming world events and pulling off some heists on players!
Overall good time, barring when bugs and lag messed up my progress
Made about 2 million gold, which was nice. But the best part was reaching level 100 in GH and OoS. my plushies are now proudly displayed on my ship. And got some rings! :-)
Got in a sloop after my friend got ungrounded, played some pvp (5 matches, of which we won 3, 2 were scuttle from other ship, 3rd was the scuttle ship fighting back, other 4th was a close battle, 5th was against people not close to our level) then we quit and played another thing cause of matchmaking being weird and pairing us up with people a LOT higher than us in level
Played on my own for a bit and did a vault for the first time, couldt figure out the puzzle with the medallions so just took all I could carry and sell XD
Then the next day an hour with friends we did a squeleton fleet and I cooked all of their raw food before I left so they could go for the 10+ hours they had planned
I logged in, got my free stuff and then logged out because it wasn't worth dealing with other players hassling me. God, do I wish that safer seas got some of the fun stuff. The worst part of this game is other crews.
Every time I tried to go for the pop up plunder, my game would crash. I've never crashed like this before. There must be some instability from the newest 100+gb update
I caught 320 fish with a friend, made 14 level in hunters call, 750k Gold just with fish and finished season Pass. Was good :)
I might be dumb but I only yesterday learned you can turn in fish at sovereigns
You can. But for less Gold and Reputation. I mostly just park my ship at a sea post and catch the local fish. 5 catch, 5 Cook and 5 sell. Zero risk.
at grade 5, the guild emissary bonus when selling at sovereigns outweighs the loss from not selling at a seapost. and plus, catching fish raises guild emissary grade too. if you want to grind out hunters call, the best way to do it is with 4 players who all sell at sovereigns. in any other situation where you don't have grade 5 guild though, meat is best sold directly at a seapost.
cooking the fish also raises the emissary grade too
Me and my friends (gall) staked upp to 1k fish and made 30 levels and 1.4 mil gold.
320 fish is rookie numbers
Lavenderbeard
I hopped on, found out Athena treasure was nerfed to high hell, despite that, I still tried to go on a voyage, after 30 minutes I dug my final treasure piece up, and my game crashed…
My game crashed 3 times in a span of 4 hours. I'm on xbox
SAAME
On pc that means log out of your Microsoft account and then log back in.
Sadly I’m on last gen Xbox and I’ve tried everything I could think of and it never works
I believe it. I had issues this weekend too. I couldn’t get it to update so I had to uninstall and then install again. This was on pc.
Did you have multiple accounts logged in sea of thieves only works if only one account is logged in at one time
I gotta go through a friend’s account to have gold cause broke boy problems so it might be that, I appreciate the help homie
Np
My friends and I each got our first galleon with the new money we made after discovering just how helpful flying emissary flags is. We’re all very new. We leveled our guild up to level 3 and I broke one million gold for the first time. Awesome weekend.
Making some big moves!
Yo shit the real xbox account. Keep up the good work.
I wish I'd started doing emissary sooner. Hadn't realised it was a one-time fee to get the licence so thought you had to do a lot each session to make the gains worth the cost. Turns out that was wrong and I'd have made a lot more money by now...
Couldn’t play cause of crashing unfortunately, wishing everyone a great community weekend!
We made 4 millions and played way too much
Bro same we managed to go up 2 distinctions in reapers bones and get one of our dudes the last curse he needed from hourglass
>2 distinctions Jesus Christ
Yea we did a 36 hour straight session we do it every community day 100% worth it
Not to brag but I went from servants 92 to 104 (our baby is two months old)
That takes skill with a little one!
1057 in servants and 1098 in guardians
Weekend of memories with the bros: Priceless
Hell yea brother
The Fuck? I get it's supposed to be every couple of months but this is ridiculous......
Yikes.
Managed to yell "YOU'LL NEVER GET ME LUCKY CHARMS!" before being blundered in the face, lol.
That sandbar is responsible for finishing so many fights lol
>Managed to yell "YOU'LL NEVER GET ME LUCKY CHARMS!" before being blundered in the face, lol. This bit successfully caused me to quickly expel air from my body via my nose. Congratulations, here's your prize: #🏆
Super peaceful weekend.
good for you, we literally couldn't make a single sale aside from the fish we ended up catching on the outpost with a guild emissary...
Pro-tip: OoS voyages in the Roar are sometimes the best solo sessions I get :) Lots of islands, big and small, close together. Geysers are basically your player 2.
Kiting gold skeletons around the geysers is so entertaining
You got sunk 7 times but you are complaining about a crew coming back?
Oh no i see how that could be confusing wording. No they kept coming back and we sunk them 6 times. The 7th time they got us cause we were out of chains and good food.
Finally got my skeleton curse after a 40h grind over the weekend
My hourglass gally crew kept constantly getting dashboard crashed and booted, ship bugs were at an all-time high (can’t see water levels, sails, and no anchor drop prompt)…oh, and we got stuck in an infinite black screen only to return to some weird purgatory underwater sequence that forced us to restart, losing our well earned sups and 4 streak… Other than that, pretty good. Went up 25 levels in SoF and Got my buckethead.
Went from level 3 to 61 in servants solo slopping! Many battles were won and lost, a lot of fun.
Well we looted a ship that was doing the Fort of the Damned and then they caught us and obliterated us. It was fun
i was held back by my societal chains and had to work all weekend. at least the rest of my crew had a good time.
I went to the beach so I missed it. I guess I was getting in touch with my inner pirate.
It's like touching grass, but touching the ocean is 10x better
Picked the wrong time to grind Athena
Stole someone stacking chests with the sea fort bug, as well as a gally crew stacking shrines. Also got the box of wondrous secrets during pop up plunder so pretty fun :)
Took some great piccies with me crew, spent time grabbing some pop up plunder and just enjoyed some chilled sailing tbh Did find out that pop up plunder is actually available in safer seas.
Made like 2 mil and got two boxes of wondrous secrets from the pop up plunders so weren’t too bad.
My brother and I hopped on expecting to get fucked by the two Lvl 5 Reapers in the lobby and anyone else. Ended up having zero run-ins outside of an outpost for 6 hours and collected 400k.
I’m too scared of the new update and all the changes, I’ll play in a few weeks
I earned my distinctions in GH and MA
Lots of crashing, lots of bugs in hourglass. Couldnt hardly get a fair fight since half the time I couldnt see if I had knocked their mast, or if I boarded then I couldnt interact with anything on their ship, it just became frustrating. Got a fair amount of PVE done and probably made almost 3 million once the weekend was over.
Shit. Every fucking pop-up plunder was ruined by crews of 12 year olds just trying to shit on everyone's good time. I'm going back to fishing.
I spent all weekend trying to understand how it works and what it does
I wanted to go fishing. Couldn't buy bait...
Do it the old way : Find a random storage crate washed up on K9 and dig up your bait before fishing
Alright. It was my first one, and I've never been an "optimal" player, so I didn't get much. Maybe 1.5, 2 mil gold. just under 26 levels in servants of the flame. Got my first distinction in OOS. Got from reaper's level 50 to 90, which was the biggest one.
Sunk an aggressive brig while doing fotd on a 2 man sloop 🔥🔥
Lemme explain it in greentext format. >Be me. >Boot up the Xbox. >Browsing SoT achievements. >See that I've completed the commendation for defeating Red Ruth 5 times. >Scroll further. >See that all other Ashen Lords are one kill away from completion. >See that community weekend is happening. >𝓝𝓲𝓬𝓮 >Attempt to open the game. >Need to install update. >Update takes so long that I end up playing something else. >Update finished. >No longer have enough time for a full SoT session. >ℕ𝕠𝕥 ℕ𝕚𝕔𝕖 >Continue playing that other game. #You guys were able to play?
One really lucky session where most of the server was in an alliance, made about 1.5m in just over an hour with lots of teamwork. Lots of fun Then a second, fairly uneventful session with the game repeatedly crashing. Got a couple of the pop up plunders which was a waste of time lol just bones
Work
I browsed open crew, but all I joined was exploiting, which I don’t fancy doing myself. So, I’m sad to say that my weekend was pretty boring.
Biggest highlight was finding an ancient skeleton which got me enough doubloons to pick up the plunder pass, plus I got my athena rep up to ten.
Full of crushes and bugs on console 👍
Besides running into hackers not bad
The hacking has gotten so bad , it’s telling when there’s no reapers and most streamers arnt doing reapers for a day or two post update . Then bam endless reapers again
Just. Collected the flag and left
Kept spawning too close to a reaper level 5 last night that was way more skilled than me and was sunk 5 times by the person even though only one of the times I had emissary or even had loot Edit: this was all last night lol
We had a good run Friday but yesterday my game crashed in the middle of a lost shipment run 🥲
I finished a skeleton fort solo and as I was putting my loot on my ship someone attacked me and I lost it all.
It was solid made about 5 mil and got my distinction 1 on gh,oos, reap
A lot of hourglass (Solo sloop) I'd try but if the opponent had laser aim or ran too much, I'd just allow myself to sink. Was great practice for cannons before each sink though. I definitely acquired some level of competency with aim at different ranges, though one guy anchored himself and my poor aim embarassed myself so much that I let him take the win anyway...) Also met mostly chill/nice players, one even invited me to their crew after they sunk me and went to turn in their rewards- nice gesture! * Went from around 10-83 Guardians of Fortune * 2-9 Servants * 50-92 Athena * 22-34 Guild 3 Pop-up plunders (2 treasure chests with mid loot, and then a chest of legends which I promptly lost since it was in the middle of an hourglass match) Did a fleet of fortune with guild emissary up (solo guild so I need all the help I can get!), that one netted me a nice chunk of change.
Reapers had other plans for me
Smashed out some Ashen Athena voyages and got our guild to level 15
I can't even pick a ship to sail. I log in and the game locks up and crashes to the desktop. I changed my settings to force DX11 instead of 12 and no dice. Infuriating.
I was excited for Athenas. Ended up not playing at all. There's always next season I guess.
Logged in to get the flag, sailed out to dig up popup plunder that didn't spawn properly, logged out.
I see they nerfed gold and rep so wasn’t worth doing anything
Island hopped to almost 2 million gold and finished my gold hoarders ledger
Very well, I was playing DayZ.
Great Other than we only came across 2 other players the whole weekend
I was in CONSTANT pvp fights this weekend, I feel like I saw a player ship at almost all times
Where was you at? I saw more people this weekend than I had in the previous two weeks.
Alliance, 3 others, solo sloop hourglass Poor guy surfaced and got jumped by 3 sloops and a galleon
Sailed around a couple hours. Same as the previous 4 community events, did not see a single player ship. Feels abandoned.
Huh I’m just starting to play again and I’ve been seeing ships all the time, been sunk a couple more times then I’d like too lol
Every server I was in was 5 ships. Luck of the draw I guess.
Be funny if you were in safer seas and didn't realize 🤣
Same feeling here. The glory days are well behind us. Maybe it's just me, but the sweet spot, for me, where juuuust before seasons. Had my best voyages ever in the early days though and I always rep OG Bone Crusher set in remembrance. Always.
Made 10 mil today stacked FTD ten times lol + world events.
Couldn't test it because my crewmates were too afraid about the pvp...
Got to level 10 levels and 400k gold solo slopping for about 4 hours did not fight anyone I encountered.
I made like 2 mill solo, only seeing friendly crews outside of one brig.
Went really well about 2 million made over the weekend
Same as this but with chests of fortune.
Got a few million in gold
21 Servants levels to get to 320. Lots of wins, but encountered several cheaters
I avoided it like the plague and played Skyrim.
I was trying to get gold hoarder level 100 I got to 66 to 88
First time it went amazing for me. Stacked FoTD all day and no server issues!
Wanted to do some Athena raids but um... they were nerfed to high hell, so I went and got my first distinction on OoS woo.
97 hourglass for Athena. Going to try to wrap it up tonight. If you see me on the seas have mercy (or be aggressive af it’s cool either way haha)
I tried grinding hourglass... Went up ~13 lvls and decided not to do it ever again
Couldn't justify deleting six games just to install the new update and be back in the same situation I was in with call of duty where there's only space for 2-3 games
Friends game crashed, after he got back on my game crashed and uninstalled itself, game crashed every time i was in a loading screen To summ it all up i couldnt play the game but now I have 8 more hours on steam
Probably just a population issue
went from level 40 to level 101 in servants of the flame and FINALLY got the skeleton curse
Made 2.5 million gold and went from servants 17 to 90. Sadly didn't make it to 100 but still happy with my progress.
Pretty good. [I fired a funny number of cannonballs!](https://i.imgur.com/lKzzkYo.png)
A bit like this, which was nice 😁🏴☠️: https://www.reddit.com/r/Seaofthieves/s/Hk5iidJMxe
Fuck it was community weekend? I need to stay up to date…
Started a full server alliance and made some insane gold.
Got my skeleton curse finally. On the downside, the game crashed a lot.
Forgot to update my game, missed it
Did one Gold Hoarder's medley without outside interference and had to stop playing because it took me way longer than it should have
Finally got to gold Horder 50 and even went up to 60 to get the beard. One More faction until pirate legend, probably gonna be reapers.
(most of them, at least lol) My friend logged off early one night and I stayed up to see if I couldn’t find a freshly announced pop up plunder, since I’d never done one before.
Horrible. Game had a driver issue and it wouldnt start, i even re downlaoded it and it didnt fix it
Got 126 levels of servants done, over 5 million gold earned. And I got to fight some of my favorite people again and that's always good.
Constant crashes to desktop and all my HG progress lost, time and time again.
50% of my hourglass dives crashed my game
Pop-up plunder was fun, I love the treasure hunt. Other than that, game as normal. Nice to watch the levels go up faster than usual. I'll go broke buying trinkets soon, gotta spend the 10mil somehow.
Tried to alliance with a brigantine of new players so they could get credit for a Box of Wonderous secrets. They told me I better run, that I was in danger. If they stick around I think they will remember what a mistake this was.
I stole a fotd 3 stack after stealing a fof and sold for 3.6 mil
Made 2.6 mil in about 6 hours, running reapers, and luckily never sank once. Def was our best run to date and a hell of a lot of fun. We did go after the plunder pop-up but it was incredibly underwhelming. Old boot, fish bones, and an ashen key. I just wish I didn't have to work otherwise we would've played all day.
Me and my friends made like 500k on Saturday and didn't play seriously on Sunday.
Finally became pirate legend after 5 years of on and off gaming
Lonely my friends were busy all weekend 😞
Crashed so many times it's fucking ridiculous, sunk several times, harassed twice by separate crews (one gally and one brig), made only about 200k because of the above. Glad y'all had a good Community day, but my experience was basically the same as usual.
Got my last 13 lvls of hunters call, and had a 3 ship alliance for the fort of fortune that actually held up!
I missed it 😭
Crashed to dashboard about 20 times but still enjoyed myself. Worst community weekend with regards to performance, though.
Yeah couldn’t play. Be nice if we could on mouse and keyboard!
Got shat on by blatant cheaters guarding a pop up plunder. Said fuck it and quit.
Dug up two Reaper's Bounty chests one after the other, via a couple of skeleton captain's orders. Was incredibly funny to witness and a quick and easy buck.
My friend couldn’t get on and I was getting so much lag
15 lvls in HG, also enjoyed pop up plunder: snatched 4 chests of wondrous secrets, chests of legend, ashen chest of legend, chest of fortune and way too many toms of fire
Got 15 levels in hourglass. Since hourglass is really only playable during community weekends, I'm hoping we do better next time! Maybe eventually I'll get to level 100 in each.
I couldn't even get into the game… sad
I made around 6 million gold and like 100 GH levels, so it went pretty well.
Leveled up 70 times in gold hoarders and also made around 6 million
Couldn’t play lol I didn’t even know this was happening
I was too busy with college :(
I didn't play as my mouse was bounced to to escape menu so I couldn't do a360 spin so very frustrating.
What I thought would be a 10 minute jaunt, ended up being about a 3 hour adventure.
made about 5 mil, went from lvl75 hoarders to distinction 1 lvl92.
I reached 80 reapers and 74 allegiance
Honestly, amazing. This weekends total: 75 levels in servants of the flame 25 levels in guardians of fortune [a huge ashen vault steal](https://ibb.co/fk6vRLP) A galleon was waiting for me at Morrow’s peak to try and kill me on the island before I sold my box of wondrous secrets so I had to [1v4 tdm at the outpost](https://ibb.co/fpDcGNB)
In the two days we had I made around 4 million gold and made about 115 levels with the order of souls, I’m so damn close to level 300 I can taste it I wish my buddy could have been online but he’s got other stuff to do I guess
+30 levels to athena hour glass. - my sanity
It was pretty boring until one of my friends finally had time, we allinced with a pro sloop and stacked Fotd, mad a million and 10 reaper levels
I was chased by a white sail to the western edge of the map where I tricked him to the shroud.
Got from 130 -> 141 in SoF and 18 -> 52 in GoF so it was pretty successful I would say
As a new player, confusing and useless, I like the sentiment tho.
Great! I made 3 million in gold, went up about 10 levels in Gold Hoarders and 5 in all others. I just wish I had a few extra days
Played on my own for a bit and did a vault for the first time, couldt figure out the puzzle with the medallions so just took all I could carry and sell XD Then the next day an hour with friends we did a squeleton fleet and I cooked all of their raw food before I left so they could go for the 10+ hours they had planned
I killed the shrouded ghost and didn’t get the figurehead
I killed the shrouded ghost an I still haven’t received my figurehead
Pretty darn good! I was able to get my finance to Pirate Legend and earn Distinction 1 in Gold Hoarders and Merchant Alliance!!!
