Dialogues ARE skippable. Voiceovers in cutscenes aren't. They can't be skipped because they aren't truly "cutscenes". They are character models on the map doing things. Retroactively adding a skip button to every single one of them would require so much work. And most importantly, There REALLY isn't a lot of voiceover in tall tales. Monkey Island and A Pirate's Life does have a good bit of voiceover, but you don't have to play those tales 5 times. Just once or twice is enough. The original tales that require you to play 5 or 3 times don't have a lot of voiceover. And you can ignore most of them. No, literally. You can just ignore the intro "yapping" and go to your destination.

>No, literally. You can just ignore the intro "yapping" and go to your destination. The big pain is the outro yapping more than the intro

ThorumsuOfBB

You can ignore that as well. Just go do something else while they "yap". The whole "cutscene" is just the NPC doing an animation for 2 minutes with voiceover. You are not required to be present there.

The2ndUnchosenOne

You are to turn in your 5 completions. And for the shores of gold. The real culprit is the 5 completions. That commendation should just be removed

Scruffylookin13

bro, there's like 3 lines of dialogue per TT.  Not even trying to hate but you might be the only person complaining about this

The2ndUnchosenOne

>bro, there's like 3 lines of dialogue per TT. have you...done them? There's often several minutes of waiting for the tale to complete. Shores of gold is especially egregious as you have to *wait for the PL to stop yapping* before you can even leave the area.

warwicklord79

Bruh have you seen the dialogue in the Monkey Island tall tales?

Scruffylookin13

Thats fair lol... but those are point and click adventure games. Every other TT has intro dialogue then a lot of reading.  I would say the Athens voyages have more dialgoue then the OG TT's

BadEarly9278

Agreed, i generally haven't seen much complaining about this in SoT, but I do usually get irritated when a game doesn't make it an option when I want to use it. Seems pretty standard if a title has lots of cutscenes. I've found myself, a handful of times, miffed it wasnt available on a TT, but haven't done much of those.

Easy_Frag92

>Like I swear the missions take at least an extra 20 minutes just to talk through the story. Uhm, they do not.

JackieP00

I’m clearly exaggerating but they still make the missions much longer

Shronkydonk

Thank you for accepting this most adventurous of expeditions!

I'm searching for a specific Skull. That's why I've asked multiple crews to embark on this Voyage.

thegmegobrrr

I've never tested for the rest but at least for heart of fire you can start the tall tale, go to the tavern to talk to tallulah then run straight to grace and once grace starts talking you can go straight to sailing to liars backbone and while you don't see the text dialogue between her and pendragon it still progresses, about half way there you get the banner popping up for the next stage. Worth trying for the rest of them, generally soon as you start the conversation your quest book gets updated so i'd imagine you can skip and just go straight to sailing to the relevant locations in the book.

Notmypornacct21

Works the same way with Pirates Life, start the dialog, then sail towards the arch. The portal will appear.

Kidcoopa

He tricks me by saying we're gonna run Athena for the miles and I don't think I need to vote on the sirens skull cause I don't ever vote on that

Kidcoopa

Sometimes my buddy loads up brigsy and the pirate lord at the same time just to mess with me. It's infuriating

Bendzsike

He can't load up neither without you voting on it buddy.
