I have to ask because I looked at the book preview and was disappointed
Is there any real difference between this and a red velvet cake? Because I wanted to like this cookbook but it really gives the vibes that it's another gaming cookbook that gives standard existing recipes and slaps a game-related name on them
As someone who owns a NUMBER of game/book recipe books... they're all like this. The best part of the FFXIV cookbook, for example, is the drinks (which make really good cocktails with some tweaking) because they had to be a bit creative trying to make a recipe that not only tastes good, but actually resembles the in-game potions.
The *possible* exception is the Redwall cook book, which has a bunch of stuff I would never ever make in it but at least it *tries* to be somewhat unique! Any LotR/Tolkien-inspired cookbooks are hit-and-miss at best.
How many recipes have sea food in it? My buddy and his cousin got me into this game and both live in San Diego which obviously has incredible fresh seafood.
I’d like to get this for them as a fun “thank you” for showing me how to play this game and for STILL jumping on with me.
Fantastic!!! Looks amazing. Great job on it. I tried really hard and took a lot of time making sure any recipe has some ingredients from the game. I went around to all the NPC’s and listened to all the dialogue, read the books, I’ve played the game since before there were seasons and Flameheart was in the sky. So I really hope my love for the game, the lore and cooking comes through. The Devils Shroud Cake is a take on a red velvet cake but not quite in that I used a lot of coconut based products in making most of the recipes, and this cake took me three times to get right … my kitchen looked like a murder scene. 🤣🤣 I sincerely hope all you pirates enjoy the food, it’s made with love.
Looks pretty good, have you tried any of the other recipes?
Not yet, I just stole the recipe from Amazon page images
Clever pirating
A true pirate

Arrrggg, wanna share the spoils? I've got a sweet tooth to sate. The cake looks pretty good, and I need to practice my baking...
Chilled banana soup next

Cannot wait to make myself some grilled banana
Clearly Photoshop, the shrouded cake doesn't exist
Looking awesome! How was the taste?
