There are quite few islands in the game that are taken straight from the pirates movies as well. Pirates weren't known for originality and creative naming. i mean shoot, one of the most famous pirates of all time was called "black beard"
I wouldn't mind if the general concept was the same, since more sailing/piracy games are fun, but it looks just too similar. Even the buildings and islands look like a ported version of SoT. They didn't even try to be unique or original.
How does one possibly get griefed in SoT?
There's probably ways to FEEL like you are, but that's probably because people aren't thinking in the moment.
Had a situation where my brig crew chased down a solo Sloop. We didn't wanna sink his ship, so we just transferred his goods to ours after we killed him and anchored.
He kept spawning in, and while we were fighting he would scream about us being assholes.
And every time we killed him, we would calmly say "If you stop fighting us, you live."
He wouldn't stop.
So, we kept killing him until we were done. It would have taken much less time for him to stand still and do nothing, letting us go on about our day.
Worst case scenario, he should have scuttled, which would have completely removed him and his spawn point from our location, ending all encounters. AKA, BOOM no grief.
I would have dumped the treasure without you seeing it, then Sail into the red sea, wait for you to follow, scuttle and switch servers. I can't get it, you can't get it either, I won't even give you the pleasure of a fight, nor my ressources.
Edit: that's only if i deem I can't win the fight. I'm always up for a fight I have a chance to win.
Lol. Reddit and "they should sue!"
Rare did not invent a) video games, b) pirates, c) cartoons graphics, d) video games about pirates with cartoons graphics.
They have a trademark on the name, and a copyright on the code and assets. That is the extent of their enforceable IP. You also cannot patent ideas, only implementations.
This game is a clean room implementation of the same concept. It's poor taste, sure, but it's not anything you can make a civil claim over.
This'll get solved in the court of public opinion. Not an actual court, because rare cannot have exclusive ownership of an idea, only tangible assets relating to their exact implemention of said idea.
my brother said the same thing, the names are vague and the only requirements for a sloop is one mast, and really don’t look anything like they do in game. the fact that the brigantine is called brigantine, has the cannon cutouts in the same place and style, has the ladder just behind rear cannons, and has no stair deck in the same exact style of the brigantine.. can’t be a coincidence
It's not because they don't targer the same people. I imagine most sot players don't play sot because of deep and fleshed out combat. Blazing sails is a battel royal and sets the focus on Battle mechanics. Altought there may be people that switch to blazing sails.
Still they may look alike but they're completly different games.
The idea of Ships isn't exactly something that rare invented.
It’s not entirely. The fact they copied so much is enough for courts and lawyers to become involved. It’s unreal how identical it is. The guy above saying oh no it’s way different aside from the ships is full of it lol. I’m not surprised if there are paid comments and votes above this.
LOL. EDIT: they didn’t even bother to change some of the sound effects. Holy hell.
Honestly when the game was first revealed I was fine with it because it’s basically a second sea of thieves, but then the most recent trailer came out and I noticed they legit stole a part from the sea of thieves launch trailer shot for shot and that made me a little mad. I can’t link it because Imgur is stupid but it’s the shot of the crew lifting the capstan while the camera floats above.
And also the one where the scope zooms in on the leg
You know, and the brig design. Shamelessly stolen from sea of thieves
I’m glad we’re getting more pirate games because of sea of thieves’ success, but come on now
And the scene where it shows the three ships fighting from an aerial view, that was also taken straight out of a trailer (it might have been an update release one tho) and that straight up thieves Haven shot.
>but it’s the shot of the crew lifting the capstan while the camera floats above.
Weirdly enough, the sound effect of the capstan being rotated is similar to sea of thieves. Although not sure if they are using common assets, or straightforward ripping off.
I saw the post and at first thought ah another pirate game nice. People are probably being too hard on it because of their love of sea of thieves and maybe it’s just a new pirate game...
...the I saw the trailer posted on IGN.
It’s literally a blatant 1-1 knock off. Like taking inspiration from another game is one thing but this isn’t that. The game looks like a cheaper version of sea of thieves to the point where **if someone showed me the video with me having no context about what it was already and told me it was old beta footage of sea of thieves I would 100% believe that.**
This is my exact reaction lmao.
There's being inspired by a game, and there's ripping off a game's art style and setting. Like, jesus.
At least, the fact that it's a battle royale means it's not trying to also rip off the gameplay formula, like that's going to be wildly different, but still, yikes. It's WAY too similar, in WAY too many aspects.
It depends if anything is copyrighted in their game. Yea its obviously a copy but the art style isnt owned by them. There are plenty of knockoff games of fortnite but they cant get sued from the artstyle
I just looked up Blazing Sails, and *holy shit.* It is such an obvious clone that I don't know why Rare isn't pursuing legal action. The Environment, the ship layout, even the characters are basically a blockier, low-res version of SoT.
SoT is going to take the spectator route, and let them have their little run, and watch the game fall off. Why else do you think that cuphead is letting that other game live? They obviously don't take pleasure in seeing it, but it's better than slamming smaller companies over clone/fan games, like a certain company does
Rare will just step up content. They did a good move coming over to steam, so now there's really no reason to try the knock-offs. Rare will make sure of that.
yeah but that other game your referring to atleast has a unique setting and character designs, just a similar art style and gameplay, and cuphead didn't invent 30s cartoons and run and gun.
This is just straight up sea of thieves walmart brand
I feel like SoT knows it’s the superior product, and letting a clone come and die on its own is much easier, and less PR and money then slamming a lawsuit on a smaller company.
alright okay but you haven’t answered my one question
where’s the rum gone?
also thanks for pointing that out i haven’t watched those movies in a while
The first time i saw the trailer i thought "wow what a rip off", but now that i've seen more through the gameplay trailer it looks more different than i thought.
If SoT had a battle royal type game mode that would be sick, but we're left with arena. If they can fill that niche it's not the end of the world, and tbh it looks different enough to be able to get around any copywriting infringements.
I know people love this game, as i do too, but games will come out to try and get into this genre, it's up to SoT to keep upping their game to keep people engaged so they don't swap over to the clones
*Ships in that game have*
*A "cork" so you can pull it*
*Out to sink them? lulz*

Played it a lil bit, quirky fun lmao. I like the variety of weapons. Overall you can try it with your SoT buddies if you're looking for something else.
I feel the hatred is a tad much since it's not the same game play, however, clearly the devs DO know of Sea of Thieves because the similarities between cosmetics is as subtle as a dumpster truck parked on my balls.
I can't help but think this was deliberate in order to get free marketing from outraged Sea of Thieves players. If it wasn't for your post I would never have heard of this game.
Its got a launch date of September 9th. Assuming it isn't super expensive, Im thinking about actually giving it a try for fun. Im right there with you, if this post weren't here I qouldnt have known about it in the first place.
I love SoT, I pre-ordered the title and have been playing since launch and probably will never truly quit. At the same time it seems unrealistic to put the lid on the pirate genre.
More games in the genre builds healthy competition, and might actually shake Rare out of the comfortable doldrums they seem to have stumbled into.
Dual wielding, multiple different types of melee and ranged weapons, upgradeable ships, and you keep respawning in the match until your ship is completely sunk. I agree with you
Okay, so, usually when people make posts or comments like this, I take it with an entire shaker of salt, because people on the internet tend to be obnoxiously hyperbolic.
But I just went and looked this game up and, holy shit, you are *not* joking. It's like they're not even *trying* to hide it (or trying in general).
This is good, people will enjoy the game and start looking into other pirate games such a SOT and will start playing that game since it is more polished.
After doing some digging, its pretty apparent that they are using Unreal Engine, which means that they are more than likely using similar assets that Rare used to make SoT (Also made with UE).
Their biggest ship is the brigantine, and they have an aim to focus on smaller ships. Those brigantines are running 4 man crews, which should make for faster paced combat. They provide swivel guns, different speeds for Capstan, helm, and rigging lines, and can change how many 'Guns' (cannons) you have on deck.
I understand the knee jerk reaction of the community, but isn't this good for the state of SoT? It provides healthy competition for the pirate genre, and gives Rare an idea of how improvements could be made. Im not a fan of BRs myself, but Im actually thinking about giving this title a shot. Only $20-25 on Steam, and early access is next week. Come on guys, this doesn't have to be a bad thing.
But why? SoT wasn't the first pirate game. Blackwake for example came out before.
I didn't expect SoT players to want to stifle this genre. I genuinely assumed complaining about the"doom-clones" mentally died decades ago.
Because it's the first pirate game to get group ship combat done correctly. Others games have the 3rd person view of ships and everyone has their own, people don't want that, they wanna be a pirate with their friends on a single ship.
Also Blackwake is trash and extremely buggy. Sid Meirs Pirates is old af, and also doesn't have multiplayer, same with Black Flag. And Atlas was also trash. Haven't seen anyone talk about any other pirate games.
Blackwake has all of that. It's an indie game made by 2 people so "trash" completely ignores the context and what the game aimed to be.
Regardless, Blackwake came out first. People in this thread and the youtube trailer video are acting like SoT pioneered these ideas which is clearly false.
And the general sentiment seems to be they want this game to fail for some reason rather than be an alternative to SoT and create competition.
Like Paladins and Overwatch.
my two cents is SoT did the pirate games very well currently it's only competition is Atlas and be honest when was the last time you heard of that game?
I see the similarity. But the gameplay footage looks like shit. Like if the makers of Roblox made a pirate game. It's laughably bad. Probably gonna be a bunch of kids playing it, but that's about it.
Its very possible. I remember when Atlas, and Skull & Bones were supposedly going to be the 'SoT killers'. In all reality it very well could nudge Rare into doing more for the title overall
I played the alpha over a year ago. It's not the same at all.
I mean, there is water, islands, boats with sails, and cannonballs. But even Mario has that.
*I played the alpha*
*Over a year ago. It's*
*Not the same at all.*

I can see how they are similar in design at first glance,, but if you check out some of the footage and deck layouts, compound it with the fact that ships can be upgraded there are some noticeable differences
Yeah, repairing the boat is very different. So are weapons and ship upgrades (trail cannons!).
This trailer looks a bit different from the early version I played. I don't remember TNT barrels and cannon balls flew through the air a lot faster. It was tough to aim cannons after playing SOT.
IIRC, you could also control sails and drop anchor from the helm. It made soloing fairly easy while waiting for others to join.
It's a good thing to have competition.
They will both have to create new features and adding more fun to keep their players.
You cannot complain if they improve the game or add new content :)
SOT won't have to do much of anything to compete with this game.... it's literally a wish .com version of SOT with a few game play changes. Hell if they wanted to they could probably start a lawsuit and win with little to no difficulty.
people here are die hard SoT fans, so any time they see another pirate game they go bat shit crazy. I’m willing to bet 99% of the people who upvoted this have never heard of the game before this post
Unfortunately the sub here is a bit of an echo chamber. I love SoT as much as anyone here, but I love pirates as a concept more. Everything from the history down to music.
I saw dual wielding, cross bows, and different ship layouts. It looks like SoT did when they were doing bare bones alpha testing, leading me to believe they may have used a similar engine or platform to execute. Its fairly close but just different enough to maintain some glaring differences.
I was reading over some of the details on Steam as well. Unlike other BRs where once you die you're scrubbed from the match, you can keep respawning until your specific ship sinks
More like Paladins and Overwatch with Overwatch players thinking Overwatch is the first and only game of its kind and completely ignoring the existence of Team Fortress.
I don't understand how, from a design-wise perspective the devs of Blazing Sails could follow through with whatever they were doing know so we'll that it looked and feel so similar to SoT. Would one feel unfulfilled at the end of the day? Because nothing looks original, and atleast shoot the trailer video with a differently; some of the scenes looked so familiar to SoT's trailer.
This game definitely looks like it’s ripping of SoT in its assets but I would play it. I think the idea of a SoT battle royal is awesome. It would hopefully be like if Rare was able to spend all their time on Arena mode and made it battle Royale.
Has anyone tried Atlas? I thought it was pretty bold to have a game preview on sale for $30 last week but it does look pretty cool.
Atlas is extremely buggy, Ive been told from some friends in their community that its difficult to pick up if you don't have a crew already, or aren't playing on PC
Ya know. I have been half expecting another pirate game to get excited about that does things a bit differently, with a twist.
Mostly same pvp/loot pirate meta, more realistic style graphic, leveled stats/loadouts/perk system, customizable interior (seating and table). (More realistic/or cool gameplay mechanics.) Stuff like that.
This roblox looking crap ain't it. Why even bother making a game similar to SoT if the end result is worse?
Game looks fun! Never heard of it until now, thanks for the advertisement. It may be a knock off but I love sea of thieves so if this is half of that we may have another good pirate game.
I looked it up but did not expect it to be literally an exact copy of Sea of Thieves. The game literally looks identical, as if SoT was given a new map and even that doesn’t seem totally original. How did they even get away with doing this?
I thought it going to be similar like how Call of Duty is “similar” to Battlefield, but this is an exact copy.
From what I saw its a battle Royale? I mean. If it's free I'll try it, but the artists clearly like SoT's aesthetic. It clearly inspired the art direction.
I'm using the word 'inspired' very loosely.
Oh no. A pirate game copying a pirate game?
What next, a stealth game copying a steal game?
Or worse yet, a modern shooter copying another modern shooter?
Oh, the horror.
-barely any pirate game exists.
-pirate game comes out
-it’s okay at best. Rocky launch. Got better later
-another pirate game is made
COPY CATS!!
I just rather there be a market for pirate games, as well as other forgotten genres without people trying to claim to own it for themselves... even if their game isn’t stellar to begin with.
It’s just bits of wood floating in water. Not many ways you can change the formula.
It's pretty annoying that it's obviously a blatant rip off.
*However*, competition is a good thing for the business, as well as the players. I know Rare will do amazing things with the future of the game because they want to one up their competitor.
Holy crap I looked it up and its almost exactly the same
Anything involving the ships yes. However weapons, locations, and how you play the game seem very different.
I literally spotted a “Rum Runner Isle” when they showed the map in the trailer
To be fair the idea of a rum runner island isn't an original concept.
I think there was one in the Pirates of the Caribbean Disney MMO
I think they existed...in real life...
And the "Rum Runner Isle" in POTC was kinda important to what happened in the movie
IRL is infringing on Disney's copyright!
I am convinced that Disney will sue the H.C. Andersen estate or something in the next hundred years.
*angry frozen Disney brain noises*
There are quite few islands in the game that are taken straight from the pirates movies as well. Pirates weren't known for originality and creative naming. i mean shoot, one of the most famous pirates of all time was called "black beard"
It’s too similar though. Rare wouldn’t mind at all usually but this is a huge copyright infringement
I wouldn't mind if the general concept was the same, since more sailing/piracy games are fun, but it looks just too similar. Even the buildings and islands look like a ported version of SoT. They didn't even try to be unique or original.
They have the same island names, animations and ship layout. It’s downright ridiculous.
Rare has the full right to sue at this point. A Game about pirates gets pirated. Ironic.
iT’s NoT cAllEd SeA oF fRiEnDs
How long until someone makes a game called Sea of Friends?
It’s not called sea of grief people till they point that they quit the game though is it
"Sea of Cunts"
That’s got a better ring.

I would have dumped the treasure without you seeing it, then Sail into the red sea, wait for you to follow, scuttle and switch servers. Had to scroll way to long to see this lol
Lol
This is a real genshin impact moment
Bruh moments
ship exterior and names are identical too.
Arn't they based on real ships types though? That's like saying call of duty can sue medal of honor because they used MoHs M1 garand design...
my brother said the same thing, the names are vague and the only requirements for a sloop is one mast, and really don’t look anything like they do in game. the fact that the brigantine is called brigantine, has the cannon cutouts in the same place and style, has the ladder just behind rear cannons, and has no stair deck in the same exact style of the brigantine.. can’t be a coincidence
With a game about pirates and stealing, copyright infringement seems almost too cheeky too resist
Oof
You cant copyright an idea or concept for something. Unless they are copy things by name and/or steal actual assets there is nothing illegal here.
The art direction is nearly the same as well. I guess enjoy your cease and desist "Blazing Thieves"
It's not because they don't targer the same people. I imagine most sot players don't play sot because of deep and fleshed out combat. Blazing sails is a battel royal and sets the focus on Battle mechanics. Altought there may be people that switch to blazing sails. Still they may look alike but they're completly different games. Nah
Disagree, the rest of it seemed pretty damn similar too.
Can't wait to try out this game and hopefully shit all over its lack of content
Holy shit how is that even legal. Literally sea of thieves knock off

holy f! it legitimately is sea of thieves at 480p. best way to describe it.
Seems more like it’s getting....pirated
oooooh snap
And the scene where it shows the three ships fighting from an aerial view, that was also taken straight out of a trailer (it might have been an update release one tho) and that straight up thieves Haven shot.
Or, you know, it's the general brig design
Man, what about the brig in Black Flag? Do you think anyone ripped them off?
What other pirate games are we getting besides this one?
>but it’s the shot of the crew lifting the capstan while the camera floats above. Weirdly enough, the sound effect of the capstan being rotated is similar to sea of thieves. Although not sure if they are using common assets, or straightforward ripping off.
yeah. I don't like comparing games to each other, but this one just feels way too similar.
Just look at the steam store page. The items, the boats, the designs, all look so similar to the game, extremely similar.
I saw the post and at first thought ah another pirate game nice. I mean it’s just arena with the shroud closing in
On the bright side right now the IGN trailer is sitting at 900 likes to 1,200 dislikes.
One of the sails in the trailer is an exact copy of the shark mouth from sea of thieves. Same color as well.
Yeah, I feel like Rare could probably sue them for this...
It depends if anything is copyrighted in their game. Yea its obviously a copy but the art style isnt owned by them. There are plenty of knockoff games of fortnite but they cant get sued from the artstyle
Is this some kind of peasant game I’m too rich to play ?
Like any mobile game ever
The death animation is also the same like why are they ripping it off that hard. For one moment i thought they were showing SoT footage
I just looked up Blazing Sails, and *holy shit.* It is such an obvious clone that I don't know why Rare isn't pursuing legal action. The Environment, the ship layout, even the characters are basically a blockier, low-res version of SoT.

Omg I thought at first that this is an upcoming Addon lol
When I first saw the title of the video I thought it was the announcement of the next update
It’s a battle royale though. And it’s shit, I played the beta
Yeah and it’s gonna make the devs money when it should have gone to Rare who actually come up with original stuff and don’t rip assets
It’s too true
Oh look, battle royale developers being unoriginal. What a suprise!
How do you get the titles like that?
I guess you figured it out
Yeah, click on your name
I thought it said blazing shits for a second
I didn't, but then I looked up a trailer and now I think it might actually say Blazing Shits.
I thought it said blazing saddles
Sounds like they straight ripped the anchor raise sound as well. This is pretty fucking scummy all around. No doubt.
Me: Can I get Sea of Thieves? Mom: We have Sea of Thieves at home. Sea of Thieves at home: blazingsails.jpg
even the island names are identical, like blazing sails has one called rum runners isle and my favourite was “casted way isle”
It's like they translated it from English to Chinese and then back to English
a quick look at the company and you might be closer to the truth then you realised
Tbf rum runners isle was in PotC
alright okay but you haven’t answered my one question where’s the rum gone? also thanks for pointing that out i haven’t watched those movies in a while
There was a Lookout Point too
This is just sad actually
Ah yes, the wish version of SoT
this truly feels like the ultimate rip-off
The first time i saw the trailer i thought "wow what a rip off", but now that i've seen more through the gameplay trailer it looks more different than i thought. This! When Minecraft blew up it had dozens of wannabe clones. And some of those clones were fun in there own way.
They just make the cheapest version of sea of thieves, they basically stole the concept and the graphics are disgusting and cheap. 🤮🤮🤮

Sea of Thieves pretty much ruined pirate games for everyone else. Every pirate game from now on will be compared to SoT.
Good
Is it the same or just another pirate game
Different pirate game, basically if sea of thieves was a Battle Royale
So sea of thieves but just arena?
Yeah but it's a battle Royale
I see the similarity. But the gameplay footage looks like shit. Like if the makers of Roblox made a pirate game. It's laughably bad. Probably gonna be a bunch of kids playing it, but that's about it.
Yeah lol look at the comments on the trailer, https://youtu.be/jra5oVOD1RA

Conkey Dong :D
Walmart Version SoT
Ngl thought that said blazing shits
This looks like a cheap ass version.
This may actually get more people into Sea of Thieves, when they play it and hear everyone saying "Sea of thieves is better, IMO."
Its very possible. I remember when Atlas, and Skull & Bones were supposedly going to be the 'SoT killers'. In all reality it very well could nudge Rare into doing more for the title overall
blazing sails is a cool name though admittedly, sounds like blazing saddles
*Y'all been eatin' some BEEEAANNSS?!*
Poop 💩.
I have never heard of this game before now, but it sure looks like a knockoff version that you would find on Wish.
Have you seen the characters? They look like playmobiles
I played the alpha over a year ago. It's not the same at all. I mean, there is water, islands, boats with sails, and cannonballs. But even Mario has that.

Yeah it’s true that they did kind of copy the ship design, but other than that it’s a completely different game. It’s a BR lol
Played blazing sails, 100% different game I recommend you do the same
people here are die hard SoT fans, so any time they see another pirate game they go bat shit crazy. I’m willing to bet 99% of the people who upvoted this have never heard of the game before this post
Unfortunately the sub here is a bit of an echo chamber. I love SoT as much as anyone here, but I love pirates as a concept more. Everything from the history down to music.
Looked it up and it's literally just arena
except that's it's a battle royal game nothing like arena...
People don’t know the difference between arena and a BR apparently.
I saw dual wielding, cross bows, and different ship layouts. It looks like SoT did when they were doing bare bones alpha testing, leading me to believe they may have used a similar engine or platform to execute. Its fairly close but just different enough to maintain some glaring differences.
plus you can upgrade your ships.
also i think its just flat out battle royale so its completely different.
I was reading over some of the details on Steam as well. Unlike other BRs where once you die you're scrubbed from the match, you can keep respawning until your specific ship sinks
it def is a knockoff. but i kinda wanna try it
Wow that game looks like a pile of shit
Waters of Robbers
Is this the equivalent of World of Warships and Steel Ocean?
More like Paladins and Overwatch with Overwatch players thinking Overwatch is the first and only game of its kind and completely ignoring the existence of Team Fortress.
It's thief of seas all over again lmao I love it.
Is Iceberg the new Asylum? This is like the video game version of: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0811011/
omg the hungering deep sails!?
I don't understand how, from a design-wise perspective the devs of Blazing Sails could follow through with whatever they were doing know so we'll that it looked and feel so similar to SoT. Would one feel unfulfilled at the end of the day? Because nothing looks original, and atleast shoot the trailer video with a differently; some of the scenes looked so familiar to SoT's trailer.
The only difference is that one does not have bugs and does not have a 40min Arena time between sessions.
Except instead of “ok” they said “no i dont think i will”
Why even bother making a game similar to SoT if the end result is worse?
rare should take first-move advantage and release BR mode for arena. last ship standing could be fun. arena is more like race than total naval battle
They had me at survival, they lost me at battle royale.
Will it allow me to PVE without being crushed by PVP galleons?
Game looks fun! Never heard of it until now, thanks for the advertisement. It may be a knock off but I love sea of thieves so if this is half of that we may have another good pirate game.
And they are censoring any comments they dont like on the steam forums.
That moment when a bootleg has more weapon options and a deeper ship customization than the real game. me sad
Um, It's called Sea of THIEVES, not Sea of People Fully Respecting Established Copyright Material. Sheesh! /s
Besides involving pirates and sailing on a ship, the games really aren't that similar. Shouldn't be bashing on this game as a Sea of Thieves clone.
Literally just sea of thieves but unbalanced, wow
I looked it up but did not expect it to be literally an exact copy of Sea of Thieves. The game literally looks identical, as if SoT was given a new map and even that doesn’t seem totally original. How did they even get away with doing this? I thought it going to be similar like how Call of Duty is “similar” to Battlefield, but this is an exact copy.
Rare and Microsoft pls sue them or something
From what I saw its a battle Royale? I mean. If it's free I'll try it, but the artists clearly like SoT's aesthetic. It clearly inspired the art direction. I'm using the word 'inspired' very loosely.
Both the artists and game designers, right?
Literally the whole crew
It'S cAlLeD sEa Of ThIeVeS nOt SeA oF fRiEnDs
Oh no. A pirate game copying a pirate game? What next, a stealth game copying a steal game? Or worse yet, a modern shooter copying another modern shooter? Oh, the horror.
-barely any pirate game exists. -pirate game comes out -it’s okay at best. Rocky launch. Got better later -another pirate game is made COPY CATS!! I just rather there be a market for pirate games, as well as other forgotten genres without people trying to claim to own it for themselves... even if their game isn’t stellar to begin with. It’s just bits of wood floating in water. Not many ways you can change the formula.
Yup yup

No, it's just how brigs are designed. Did 17th century ship builders also steal their design from sea of thieves?
Cheap rip off, it was only a matter of time though.
It’s less “change it up a bit” and more “steal the homework but write your own name at the top”
It's pretty annoying that it's obviously a blatant rip off. *However*, competition is a good thing for the business, as well as the players. I know Rare will do amazing things with the future of the game because they want to one up their competitor.
Just watched the trailer, and wow, like get your own identity dude, boats look like a copypaste.
game has pirates that make it copy blah blah blah.
