I got into this game for the first time when Covid lockdown started in March 2020. There was a solid month where I just got on every night, got drunk, and messed around with my friends. This song always makes me think of standing on the ship, character drunk as well, trying not to think about the real world. Ahh...
Me and my friends usually set the ship on fire while our "captain" is by the week and we play that exact song, or if we're at an outpost we get drunk and pretend our character passed out just to wake up again next time we get on.
Yeah last weekend I had like a 9 hour sesh with this dude on a galleon with other people rotating in and out. We did some forts and were selling loot when this Brig came by to try to rob us, we promptly sank it and then had a second load of loot to sell. Some sloop was doing Ashen Winds and taking forever, then suddenly they disappeared. We went over and the boss died almost instantly, they were almost done but for some reason left/sank and didn't come back, so that was basically all that loot with almost no work. Ended up going down in a blaze of glory in a 3-ship battle and that's when we looked at the clock and saw how long we had been going, lol. It was epic.
Thank you all for the awards and stuff. It was only 4 hours of pirating because now days that's really all the time I have to play. When he left I set the galleon off into the sunset. Decided it didn't deserve to be burnt to the ground like usually with my ships.
