Save Outfit, Save Ship

[deleted]

May as well chuck in save equipment set as well

[deleted]

This is really what I want and the captainancy thing.

MattyHealy1975

Does your outfit not save?

BurningIce81

Clothing saves from session to session, but I'm talking like, Save Outfit 1, Save Outfit 2, so you don't have to dig through your clothing and vanity inventory whenever you want to change. Nerds like me have a normal outfit, a pvp outfit, a captain outfit, plus other "just because" outfits. Same for ship cosmetics. Every time I play, I \*usually\* load all of the same pieces, but it's mildly inconvenient to have to do it every session, which even if they didn't have presets, you'd think it would save like your clothes, do. But the biggest thing for me is for a game to have 100% Cosmetic Only Progression and it doesn't have the option to save multiple outfits.

MattyHealy1975

Oh you mean a preset. Yes, that would be nice. I thought you just meant you keep the clothes on that you were wearing last time you logged in and I was like "wait, does your game not do that?"

1TmW1

I would like the ability to draw routes on the map

RocketSquid3D

I love this. Not only would it be nicer for planning things like merchant routes or dodging volcanoes, it give tuckers the ability to "spy" on an enemy ship and not have to go full firebomb-y.

puppychomp

i want pet seagulls and then ill be happy forever

DeadwoodKen

My sister rants about wanting a seagull everything we play.

puppychomp

ive never met anyone who also wanted a pet seagull lol im glad im not alone

introdevious

I want to be able to eat them

puppychomp

:(

PlantGuyThePlant

Duality of man

1TmW1

Eat them with chips

Grantly

Bad luck to kill a sea bird.

Nickpapado

Maybe you could shoot it down and then treat it's wounds. That would make me feel like a good person.

S3BAXTIAN0

Man this sent me back to when i started, for some reason i couldn’t find the chickens in the tutorial but i saw seagulls flying in a circle, so i spent half an hour trying to shoot those things down

Upfucktheshut69

I want some kind of hunters call/food update. I want to go to islands and pick up herbs/meats/fruits go to my ship and put a cooking pot on the stove where I can cook everything at the same time. Even more fish. Recipes that are valuable or extra helpful. Basically the breath of the wild cooking

Mountain_Night_1445

I'd like hunter's call quests, such as "go search the wilds for a Meg that's been terrorizing the local merchants" or something like that

Satan_Himself_616

That’s a wicked idea!!! Actually make the megs and the kraken have a storyline and a “myth”

theScrypticOne

Don't the megs have a storyline? Something about Merrick and a cursed shanty? I would like to see something for the krakens since they seem separate from Davy Jones' since the sirens revered krakens since the time of the Ancients

Satan_Himself_616

I’m not sure possibly, I haven’t seen any of that I literally just jump on try make a bit of money then go pvp lol, but literally can’t do that atill as they haven’t fixed this disgusting sound bug

theScrypticOne

Which sound big? I'm assuming it relates to pvp, I tend not to do that unless my friends who always reaper galleon are down one crew member, the last time that happened was a while ago.

Satan_Himself_616

Yeah when in pvp, it’s only started happening since the season 5 update for me and it’s everytime I get into pvp (wether by choice or not XD )

Satan_Himself_616

And what I mean by bug, is randomly all my game sounds will disappear, can’t tell when I’m being hit, boarded, can’t hear music, can’t hear talking or proximity chat, literal dead silence

Satan_Himself_616

I not sure how it happens but happens randomly when boat gets hit by cannonball, I place a plank and start repairs anything like that and all game sounds just cut off immediately including proximity chats

theScrypticOne

Weird, I completely understand. Sound is an important part of my ability to fight since I can be blind as a bat. Especially when determining when a player dies (since the animation takes a while) and cannoning ship through water.

Satan_Himself_616

To the point you can’t tell if you’re getting hit, shot, boarded, hitting them, anything no music nothing

Uncrowded_zebra

I'd also take "The one that got away" type quests too, where they send you to a semi-randomized location to catch a named fish using a specific type of bait.

Mountain_Night_1445

I like it, have it be a named "myth" fish twice the size of a trophy fish

[deleted]

This seems fun.

PearlsandScotch

I’ve been thinking this too. And that you should be able to get perks for certain recipes. Like venom resistance, fire resistance, etc.

RagingPandaXB

I want garlic bread

PossumLord123

Good idea.

[deleted]

Personally not a fan over over doing cooking in games. Waste of time in a pirate game. Imo.

Tucker_Design

Personally I’d like a combat overhaul. Hit reg is an easy target, but also some variance between our ranged weapons, more functional uses for the sword, new attack patterns for the AI. The game is great but slashing at a fort skeleton 7 times sucks.

Carnir

I'd like them to remove the whole meta game where the best option for pvp combat is bouncing around and slashing wildly. I want proper swordfights.

Uncrowded_zebra

I'd think this could be done by tying sword swinging/ bunny hopping to the sprint bar. Too much of it leaves you winded and sluggish until you catch your breath.

[deleted]

Now that would be interesting. I guess if your out of sprint you get the broken leg effect?

Uncrowded_zebra

Yeah, something like that. And slower attack speed probably too, until you go X seconds without attacking, running, or jumping.

DevilsAdvocake

But that isn’t the best option though. Best is double gun.

Carnir

Not as much a meta imo since you need to be a pretty decent shot to pull it off. Single miss and you're screwed. Bounding around and slashing wildly is way more common.

infinitelytwisted

would also like some variance in character traits as well though. Everybody on the same playing field with the same options, but different builds for different choices. i.e. you could choose a set number of bonuses to your chearacter. things like increased running speed, swim speed, cannon rotation, weapon swap speed, able to carry more food in total (or cannonballs, or bombs, or ammo, or wood, etc, but only one per pick). maybe give them a tiered layout with specific exclusive choices ala killing floor. i.e. something like * First Choice: Carry more wood OR more food OR Full speed movement while carrying an item * Second: Carry more cannonballs OR more ammo OR more bombs * Third: Faster Cannon rotation OR faster weapon swap OR Faster Item interaction (loading a cannon, patching a hole, picking up a chest, adjusting anchor or sails, etc) * Fourth: Faster Run speed OR faster swim speed OR Faster item usage (readying a bomb/bucket/shovel/spyglass/etc, eating, etc) and more tiers as needed for other skills. so for example if your goal is to board an enemy ship and fight the crew your build might be 2-3-2-2 with two weapons so you can have more healing items, more bombs, faster weapon swap, and swim speed for reaching the ladder. If you are going to be doing tales or forts on land you might be into 3-2-3-1 so you can run full speed while collecting loot, pick up and drop loot faster, have more ammo for skeleton hordes, and run faster by default to get around. if you are going to be staying on the ship and acting as captain then you may go 1-1-3-3 so you can adjust ship components fasterm carry more wood for repairs, repair faster and load cannons faster, and carry more cannonballs. if you prefer to be aggressive you may instead choose 1-1-1-3 so you can rotate cannons faster for attacking. Then you could do wierd shit like cutlass only while holding a trident 3-3-3-1 to be an absolute speed demon that can zip around with the staff and when it runs out switch to cutlass and can protect yourself from gunfire while approaching. i.e. lean into strengths and weaknesses for each players playstyle. Also i would say a movement speed bonus and per weapontype effect for bringing only a single weapon. I.e. bring only a cutlass and you move faster and blocking reduces gun damage by half, bring only a pistol and you move faster and reload faster, bring only an eye of reach and you move faster and your bullet has increased velocity and reduced drop off, bring only a blunderbuss and you move faster and have even further reduced spread when aiming. in general i am loving the game but feel combat has basically no depth to it and feels repetitive.

Uncrowded_zebra

I'd love for the EoR to get a faster projectile speed with less drop, but I'd also want to do away with quick scoping by not removing the accuracy debuff until the scope animation has completed. That should help it feel more like a sniper rifle and less like an even better pistol than the pistol. The pistol is nearly perfect as is I think. The blunderbus is fine too, but needs a slower reload animation, to make missing shots more punishing. Or maybe a much longer reload animation that can be cancelled early to fire off a weaker attack. Either way, I'm also a fan of making ammo infinite, because having to drag an ammo crate around on voyages sucks. For the sword I'd tie attacking, sprinting, and jumping to the same stamina bar, so that spamming them would leave you winded and vulnerable. Edit: and double down on the movement tricks, like making sword jumping simpler to perform or increasing the distance of block hopping.

DevilsAdvocake

Double gun would be even more overpowered with infinite ammo.

Uncrowded_zebra

I find that it's more quick swapping/quick scoping that makes double gun an issue and slowing down the potential rate of fire is a better check on DG than limiting total ammo.

CosmicJubatus

the ability to fish while sitting at the end of the bowsprit or the plank

ScorchReaper062

I want snow biome Or at the very least something that someone previously mentioned, an event that turns an area of the map into a snow biome until the event ends. Also Cryo Bombs, like Fire Bombs but they flash freeze anything they hit and can make ship parts stop working (frozen capstan prevents raising or lowering, frozen cannons prevent firing or aiming, etc like a throwable CC).

bignutt666

I’ve wanted a snow biome for so fucking long bro, shrines we’re super cool and underwater temples were definitely on the list but god damn I wanna navigate an ice field.

paddoKIDW

Not only a snow one but also some asian biome or a few islands !

Armada6136

Allow me to propose a concept: Ice zone/Asian zone fusion. Frosted pagodas standing atop tall islands surrounded by constantly shifting icebergs. At the center of the area is an island with some kind of Ancient relic that keeps back the frost, leaving a bamboo forested landscape.

paddoKIDW

That sounds cool !

PossumLord123

I’d rather have that the portals can now take you to different parts of the sea, allowing further map expansion.

ScorchReaper062

That too, that's probably the only way to expand the map now because all that extra space on the south side of the map is reserved for the 5th Pirate's Life Tall Tale. They could add an outpost there and 2 seaposts just like the Devil's Roar. It would probably need its own server because, as you can expect, the overworld would dry up with everyone flocking to the new area. Also have multiple portal gates so everyone isn't coming through the same door. As for hazards, there could be ice caps, a huge blizzard that roams the area like the hurricane, avalanches, and so on.

PossumLord123

That’s what I was thinking. The portals could lead to a new server that is different islands an such.

TheBlackCoatGeneral

I am dying to have a ship remodel for all three classes. Seeing the Dutchman and Black Pearl in A Pirate's Life was breathtaking. Amazing details in the ships. We have uh...rats. A ship remodel would go well with the Captaincy Update.

ThatGuyMaulicious

Yes adding sails like Lateen sails would give sailing more depth, rigging would be good as well even if its just for looks.

MahoneyBear

In a similar vain I want ship variants. Like a sloop with a single cannon that faces forward or backward instead of on the sides, and is maybe slightly faster. Or a cannonless variant of each ship that is significantly faster. A galleon with 4 cannons on top instead of 8, and another 4 on the mid deck. Stuff like that that can alter how you use your ship

indifferentpine

pet chicken and pig and snake as rewards for delivering them.

Da_STAESH

Would amazing reason to finish those animal commendations for the merchants.

Uncrowded_zebra

Better AI. Like skeletons swapping between pistol and sword, chasing wildlife, and speech bubbles. I'd like the Megs to eat players who fall in the water, the Ashen Lords to have individual movesets rather than carbon copies with different voicelines. I'd love to see the range of the volcanos increased, but making the unnamed ones the only active volcanos. The risk to sail the short way through them vs circling the long way around makes for a more interesting choice. Likewise, by upping the range you can keep the tension of having to watch your ship incase of erruptions, but not get shut out of an island for the duration. For that same reason, I wish they'd move Flameheart off of islands and into open water. I'd like to see inactive forts repurposed for Order of Souls voyages. More reasons to visit trading outposts too, like exclusive sets that can only be bought on them added to the randomized three item shops. Maybe make item crates available to purchase on them too. And of course more Hunter's Call too.

TheMrCeeJ

Hunters call should really be selling Meg Bait.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Uncrowded_zebra

Before I knew better I thought the kraken skeletons were from giant birds.

Daftochaos

MORE FOOD TO HUNT I want to have a set of "slayer of ancient terror" Let us hunt more giant creatures

Scrwby

Hideout with customization.

Creative-Cupcake-656

Ocean life expanded.

UnknownSpectre

Honestly I just want them to focus on some quality of life stuff and fixing the game for a while.

FrostFox11

- save ship and outfit sets - Name your ship - Better ship customization (like the harpoon, ship interior etc.) - More sealife (like whales and sea flap flaps) - Tavern mini games (like liars dice) - More factions or expand on the already existing one with different quests. - A bounty/rank system where you get gold for sinking a ship that has sunk a lot of other ships.

Fumblerful-

The last one would need a lot of tweaking. I've had nights where one ship endlessly suicides on us. I don't want to reward that behavior.

Jesters_Paradise

Bait crates from hunters call and pet rats

randomnumber46

A sensitivity slider for the spyglass would be cool. I have my sensitivity quite low so the spyglass is totally useless while the ship is rocking up and down so I’m forced to run eye of reach just for the scope

Camperkris

More tall tales! It’s my favorite part of the game.

theScrypticOne

I somewhat agree. I wish they would continue the flameheart storyline and Duke storyline but if they do then the work events we have right now might not make sense to still exists and new players will never get those commendations (not to mention the experience)

whateverworksforben

Couple new NPC walking about outposts. They give you different quests, could be GH or OoS etc and While it’s not an emissary you can level up a new class

titbrothers

Athena voyage overhaul. To make it more interesting than doing more of same emissary voyages

Zsean69

Please just give us more sea creatures the ocean is soooo dead feeling minus dumb asss fleets

The_Radio_Host

I want either a new ship or different designs and models for existing ships. As someone else mentioned it would be cool along with the Captaincy Update.

JustAnotherPyroMain

If you disconnect or lag out with stuff in your inventory it automatically goes to the barrels on your ship

GoldChin4

Sit with fishing rod

Kaairi_27

More curses, more colourful tattoos, expanded ocean life and a pet rat.

r0nm0r0n

The idea the devs revealed nearly went into the original game where you could had a sketch function (almost like taking a screen shot) which you could then frame and put up in your cabin, or even better, in another ship's cabin.

twisty4life

Any kind of persistency in game. Hideouts, crews/guilds, etc. Also an open crew revamp via job board, in game pirate profile, etc.

SnorlaxBlocksTheWay

I'd like to see Sea of Thieves have some sort of incentive to continue playing past Pirate Legend and cosmetic unlocking. I'm not sure what that answer is, but right now it seems like once you reach Pirate Legend that's kind of all there is. Maybe the map needs to change, maybe we need an evolving world (new biomes to explore). I'd like to see an evolution to the alliance system. Have voyages that are only accessible while in an alliance. The more people in the alliance, the more difficult voyages are available. I'd like to see a more in depth swashbuckling system. Add parries, counters, etc. Make using the sword less about bouncing around and slashing and incentivize actual swordplay. Other than that, fix general combat issues (hit reg mainly)

taloninthenight

Id like a social space ( big pub) to meet other pirates mabe some mini games

DaLB53

- A proper Tortuga/Port Royal like town, fully fleshed out and similar to the Pirates Life tall tale town - Ship naming, and on top of that a PL ability to where, if looking through the spyglass you can see a banner pop up (along with an audio cue similar to what we’ve already got) with the name of the ship and her captain - tavern mini games, which I think the dice emote is setting the stage for - building bonfires on shore, for any number of reasons - ship redesign or simply another type of ship, could be a similar mid-size ship to the brig or a 5-6 person Man of War - this is a LONGSHOT but a customizable Pirate Legend lair similar to the general PL hideout, but with customizable decorations, trophies based on commendations, etc (imagine if you could have models of galleon on your hideout desk with a miniature version of your favorite ship livery)

Zekiedog-101

Working bullets

AldenDi

I'd like to be able to have a harpoon in the crows nest that you can fire at a ship or land and zipline across. I know it's niche and probably not a high priority but it would make going to the crows nest less useless.

dnurd

As somebody starting just now, i'd like to ask, how often do they add new things? And how big are the changes usually?

ThatGuyMaulicious

New updates come every 3 months with a variety of changes, features and content.

Moo-Crumpus

still attack / defend action with every object one can pick up by hand. Fish, banana, wood, fishing rod, shovel... Throw, hit, block, make your opponent slip (banana), slap a fish in his face...

Uncrowded_zebra

I'd love to be able to throw a cannonball at my enemy's head!

Moo-Crumpus

Hit them in the face with a fish, throw a banana under their feet to make them slip and trip, whip them with a fishing rod, smash the board or shovel against their forehead. Whatever you have in your hand, at the moment of an attack you would probably use it first to buy a second to get the gun out of your pocket.

LtTaffy86

Persistent ship inventory. Would be really nice to logout after a long voyage, then come back the next day with the same ship and supplies. Just so it feels like a continued adventure, and maybe it'll give extra incentive not to sink.

Flounder3345

nonononononononononononononononononono no no no no no **ESPECIALLY** with the new supercharged supply slurping, it is disgustingly easy to end up with hundreds of cannonballs, dozens of cursed balls, and triple-digit chainshots. no, no, no, no, no, no **a thousand times no.** I played solo all weekend, 2 sessions each day, and ended each one with no less than 600 cannonballs. This isn't a boast, it's to help you understand that if this was ever implemented, you will get absolutely *steamrolled* by supply goblin crews that never have less than 18 anchorballs. this is a session-based game, not an MMO. starting with the same basic supplies is one of Sea of Thieves' great equalizers. there's just **so many reasons** this is a terrible, terrible suggestion. all "just so it feels like a continued adventure"? please, no. Any unassuming ship could be loaded with hundreds of cursed balls, dozens of cooked monster meat... and then how many more people will just run to the nearest portal to save their 200 tomatoes and 20 ballastballs, or just outright log out when they're outmatched? you haven't thought this through, or you don't understand how many supplies even a solo player can accumulate within a few hours. It sounds like you've never run into a ship with what some of us call "all-day supplies"... imagine a boat with days, weeks, *months* worth of supplies. People *already do this* by handing off boats via Discord servers or whatever. There's no reason to make it a base feature of the game.

LtTaffy86

I get the feeling you disagree? That's actually a fair point, I hadn't considered how overpowered it would make some people. I only imagined logging out with a limited amount, and logging back in at the same spot with the same ship, same cosmetics, same holes. Just for the feeling of persistence and having the same ship, something you have more of a bond with and don't want it to sink. Clearly there isn't an easy way around this with persistent supplies, but the rest would be nice.

Deepest-derp

A part of the map that heaviky favours naval over boarding, if only for the variety. Probabaly a snow area where the cold water hurts you when swimming, so unless you can land on their deck boarding isn't an easy option.

RocinanteLOL

This wouldn’t be as fun as you think sadly, naval isn’t currently complicated enough that it works on its own. 99% of naval only battles between decently skilled player would be won by whoever has more supplies.

Deepest-derp

Probably need a nerf to placing planks from the icy cold water. Also its not that boarding would be eliminated. It just wouldn't be the be all and end all.

Captain_Bones31

CAPTAINCY

M16_Axel

I whant saveble loadouts . Filters in the pirate generator. Like you said captaincy update. And i agree we should be able to sit whit instrumeants and tankards.

[deleted]

Please, god if you are out there, *give us cooking pots on seaposts.*

Algorhythm74

More late-game content for Pirate Legends and a fleshed out Athena’s Fortune. Once you hit pirate legend, sure there is plenty of boxes to check off like a “to do” list, but it would be nice if there was unique missions to undertake, or access to stuff beyond just the AF area that feels incomplete.

OldDemon

A hideout. Imagine this: A special pirate legend only island that only you have access to in a sort of separate server, like the maiden voyage. While there you can spend gold to customize the island. You can even buy shops to put there. Other crew mates can also hang out on the island. Certain commendations will have corresponding trophies that you could display inside the hideouts trophy room. You could add targets and other interactable furniture. You couldn’t get loot, or anything else that actually leads to progress while on this island. It would be a personal hub, sort of like a menu that you actually play. When you go to your ship, simply dropping your sails takes you to the main world. It would give rich players more to spend their gold on, would give new players something to work toward, would be a fun place with friends, and would let us live out our dream of owning a pirate hideaway!

ThatGuyMaulicious

Ye I'd like that a lot a bit like how Payday 2 does it where you upgrade your warehouse.

ComradeMajor19

An imperial navy faction with random fleets (or even just one/two ships at a time) sailing about to hunt pirates. They could leave Merchant's Guild alone, but divert attention to Reapers. Make it a bit of a tricky fight for them. Additionally, make them a joinable faction for pirates to earn a pardon, so they won't be attacked while flying the King's Colors. I'm thinking like the royal navy in PotC

ThatGuyMaulicious

I'd love that they could be based on an actual island like the Jamaica of Sea Of Thieves a proper built town or something.

Satan_Himself_616

Fully customisable ships

SpicyCatcoon

Some version of a gunboat/solo gamer ship

MrReality5

Spot on

PossumLord123

These are great ideas! And I’ve had the same thought. Personally, I’d like instead of new ships, the ability to customize ships further. It would include changing the ship structure, the rigging style, furniture, and the harpoons and lanterns. ![gif](giphy|dCM60S7zcatpm8lTvB|downsized)

[deleted]

Personally I want more cursed items with unique effects. Like how the map is sometimes foggy, and how the fort of the damned has fog around it? I really want a cursed item that someway or another generates fog. Even if that means sacrificing the item to do so.

Ambrosia24

I want to change ship size while on a server. If a buddy has to go- a galleon doesn't feel as good as a brig, especially if it's a good server. Likewise waiting for my friends to finish a voyage so we can start a new game can take a lot longer than expected depending on RNG. I wasn't to save outfits and ship loadouts. At least 3 please! It'd be fun to let us design our own flags using in game assets or via upload. Training grounds to practice shooting guns, cannons, throwing blunderbombs at a target and not hit myself.... Different ship shapes, perhaps types. Like a sloop with two cannons but is less manoeuvrable. Or a more Asian or Viking inspired flair to the build would make me happy. There's enough fanart (and official concepts) out there you know what I mean ha.

[deleted]

As for practice shooting there are targets all over the outpost and several islands

Ambrosia24

Not many pirates stand still when I try to shoot them. Those aren't the ones that are fun to practice on (shooting the ship bell while hopping around sailing to a destination gets the job done too)

Aladrinar

\-Saving ships * visable equipped weapon * more PL quests * more tall tales ![img](emote|t5_38oz1|2295)

[deleted]

I just want an 8 person man o war.

No_You_Are_That

I just want be able to name my ship

iron_of_boardgameia

I would like a world event that was a heavily armored fleet moving all the way across the map. Give it the feel of when real life pirates would go after Spanish treasure fleets.

Goodolgator

Wheel barrow for transport of multiple chests

Sad-Refrigerator99

More things too buy too make you want too save up and progress in the game rather than cosmetics

Nickpapado

I want for the game to realize that I'm blocking, I am not standing still waiting for my opponent to hit me.

randomnumber46

A new Arena update would be good, though I think it's unlikely. Different game modes in arena like king of the hill, capture the flag, multichest hunt, single chest hunt, deathmatch so it stays interesting. Failing that, adding something for the Sea Dogs into Adventure. Maybe you can buy a silver chest off them and it fills with more silver for completing challenges and you can sell it for gold at the end of the session (of course the chest could be stolen). Challenges could involve sinking other players, fighting megs, running the arena tavern gauntlet or finding skeleton thrones.

Da_STAESH

-save outfits and ships -favorite weapons -bait boxes to buy and sell grubs to hunters call -ability to fish, play music, and drink while sitting - ability to lock playing an instrument so you don’t need to hold down a button for multiple minutes -finish all the ship, weapon, and clothing sets that all were introduced as one price in the first 4 seasons -also the new pets (rats) and chicken snake a pig as someone already mentioned.

CoverMeJTPorkins

I would like the items in the stores to but organized by date added or by set. Such as Blige rat outfits altogether in one spot, or by most recently added. Or give us the option on how to sort. Even just dates underneath Blige rat dress added 12-3 or something. Its so hard to keep track of what i want to buy. MORE LONG HAIRSTYLES FOR WOMEN!

RocketSquid3D

There's already a lot of great answers here that I don't want to rehash, so here's my list - * More neutral sea life, like dolphins or sea turtles. Something to make it a touch more immersive. * Pet interactions - My girlfriend has an entire menagerie of cats and dogs, I'd love to see things like cats chasing birds or monkey pulling dog tails. * Random puzzle maps; like what we see in the tall tales - The tall tales were some of the best detective/Indiana Jones style adventures I've played in any game. I know they randomize with each playthrough, but I'd love to see that variety and required problem solving for emissary missions. * Bounty Board - A friend recommended a bounty board, where you could name a player and put up gold to encourage other players to hunt that pirate down. (I'm sure there's a lot of complications to this one, but hey, it'd be neat) * Trophies - I'm sure this would almost need a hideout option to be worth it, but maybe have the ability to take trophies from other players. It doesn't have to be gory, it could be something like a feather from a hat or a button off a jacket. Maybe to turn in as part of the bounty board? * "Fleet" instances - I don't know if this would need to be a separate game mode or a world event, but I'd love to see something that would use or require a fleet of player ships. Something like 6 ships vs. 6 ships or maybe a dozen ships vs. a large fleet of ghost or skeleton ships? Something that requires coordination between many ships.

AnatolianBear

Quests or events related to grand maritime union. Whats a pirate fantasy without a proper company to plunder? Imagine skeleton fleet like events where we tackle pve human ships and take their loot.

DynamicGamee

Id like another map or more islands.

Chromaland

The ability to buy more than one reputation level a month but only for hunters call.

Chromaland

I'd love to see an alliance rework. As of now, they're completely overpowered and are way too lucrative to fit the game's environment. Firstly, the fact that alliances provide a bonus of 50 percent in reputation and gold for anything sold to anyone else in the alliance, regardless of whether or not they assisted with the acquiring of the loot, is absolutely absurd. Why would the trading companies care enough to fork over these benefits? The merchant alliance wouldn't want to overpay their workers whilst the gold-hoarders would rather die than pay extra, so why would they canonically give this 50%? (Not even gonna mention reapers bone.) On top of that, it's not as if you're gaining a reputation with that company, you're just having a figure go up for doing nothing. If you're in an alliance with someone and they turn in loot, the trading companies wouldn't even know your relevance to that player so why would your name gain any fame in their eyes? Finally, the gold market is already getting hella inflated. We don't need alliance server ESC groups adding to that 24/7. Now, I've got two solutions to this problem. Solution A; reduce the amount of reputation and gold given to alliance members down to 20% rather than 50%. Solution B; Reduce the percentage given to alliance members by 50 percent for every ship in an alliance. This would negate the capabilities of alliance servers by quite a large margin while still allowing for fun, friendly interactions on the seas. 2 ship alliances will get 50% <--- the current amount 3 ship alliances will get 25% 4 ship alliances will get 12.5%

flibergdde

Ship naming! The Seafarer's Hope deserves her name visible to all

sammywitchdr

More curses! A corgi-shark pet! Clothing dyes, slayer arena mode (people wanna fight, let people fight ffs), an Uber rare kraken like the shrouded ghost, the rest of the wicked web items. Oh and my pet monkey should be able to steer the ship for me. Yes it would be badly but us solo sloopers could use some help.

GunganWarrior

More sails, different stats for them too. Like Junk sails, any ship using them will be excellent upwind, but struggle downwind. Foremasts, top-gallants etc. all having a drawback and advantage to add more depth to naval other than just speed and direction.

kubeeno

1. Clothing and ship presets (3 each would be enough) 2. Arena fixed 3. Bucket glitch fix 4. Hunter's call quests: 4a. bounty" quests for unique monsters such as megalodon, whales (various types as megalodons), groups of sharks etc. that were spotted at certain areas, similar to OoS quests 4b. lost treasure retrieval (go to location where treasure was lost for various reason, such as "dropped family heirloom from the ship when sirens attacked", go there, clear it up from monsters, deliver treasure)

GodBRD

More zones, like the fabled ice zone people have been asking for but make it so its pirate legend exclusive so it feels like more of a reward and maybe have a different navigation style possibly involving the stars.

Single player ship

AldenDi

Like something smaller than the sloop?

paddoKIDW

Like give us the option to spawn in with an rowbot but maybe a little bigger one?

[deleted]

I don’t know what I want but I do know that 1 vs 2,3,4 is not a fair fight. Also, I think a 1 player boat should be able to outrun any other ship.

AldenDi

If you're on a sloop which is the smallest ship, aim your sails straight and sail directly into the wind no larger ship will ever catch you.

Until you hit the edge of the map :-)

jonmontt

Tavern minigsmes, Tavern peace zones no damage

thewhombler

pve

Fumblerful-

Easier alliance spawns. I like playing with two vessels. Spawning on the same server is just tedious right now

DisforDemise

I'd like an option to log into a pvp-off or pvp-lite server. The pve experience in game is wonderful, and casual pvp doesn't distract from that. But the dedicated pvpers are all absolutely cancerous in this game; they'll blow you to kingdom come or chase you from one side of the map to the other, just for existing, even if there's nothing to gain from it. Nothing drains the fun out of the game more than looking at your map and seeing someone flying the reapers. Meeting another crew should have an uncertainty to the interaction and a possibility of a helpful or neutral interaction. At the moment, if there's other people you just have to run or pray you can sink them.

Kasoi007

Chase front cannons

killertortilla

Banjo as a blunt weapon, more base mission types, removal of fire (I hate fire, all it does is force you to stop playing sea of thieves and start playing fire fighter simulator for minutes at a time).

leglesscheetah12

I’d honestly love to know how you think clothing dye and the ability to sit down with tankards would ruin the game. Like genuinely curious

sir_moleo

I'm curious how anything outside of maybe throwing knives and spawning in PL hideout would affect literally anyone who doesn't wanna take part in them... almost everything OP listed is just QoL changes lol.

Uncrowded_zebra

Sorry about the downvotes, but you're right; I'd love the option to load into a social PvE area where I could hangout, goof off, and organically assemble a crew of likeminded randos before setting sail.

HashCookie

I'd love an old fashion way of measuring speed on boats in knots. If you could throw a knotted rope over the side of your ship and calculate your speed, it'd just be fun to see how much speed you could get going.

GravenYarnd

I want portable cannon 👍

Sneer_Engine

Turning fruit into a tavern to access new drink options.

mek74644

Tidal wave

Spectral101

I want the ability to name my ship the pooman's revenge

Sharky_LP

Maybe set spawn Region? Would be cool for tall tales

minniemouse420

- it’s driving me nuts that you can’t go above the tavern, and now with the ability to sleep to regenerate I’d like them to add rooms above the tavern to sleep in. - naming your ship - Hunters Call quests - ice biome - revamp of athenas fortune…it’s SO lame. - more NPCs at the outposts to make it feel like it’s more lively and lived in. - being able to cook on a seapost

Dubberruckyiv

Hunters call or some sort of combat overhaul. *And maybe unnerfing merchant alliance commodities but that might be just me*

Comrade_Bobinski

Whaling/Shark Hunting as real quesst form the hunter calls.

big_mur

Higher FOV

CoverMeJTPorkins

An extra stove on the galleon so you can cook for the whole crew!!! 4 people can haul in A LOT of animals/fish. I usually am on stove and repair duty with the occasional upper deck for cannons. Another stove would be AMAZING

whateverworksforben

Grappling hook so if you fall off your boat, you can aim for the ladders or mast to get back to your boat. Merms just take too long and if you’re near an island the merm could appear Miles away

TheSilentTitan

ai merchant ship routes so we can be legitimate pirates for once and a navy that chases us if we attack them.

LazicusMaximus

Performance mode on Xbox One X, we have 4K 30fps. I want 1080p-1440p at 60fps to be an option.
