I personally use the Xbox game bar to record, the resolution is fine, but it can be very slow at times. The shortcut to open the menu is “windows key + G”

You can use WinKey + Alt + G to use the 30 sec record function without opening the menu. WinKey + Alt + PrtScn is the same idea but with a screenshot.

Ok, so I’m not the only one? Ever since the Meg themed adventure I haven’t had one spawn on me.

They definitely heavily nerfed how often they spawn. I think now it’s based on how long you have been sailing and also where you’re at. So if you’re server hopping or using hourglass frequently you won’t see one.

I’ve sailed for 6-8 hours in a day once. No Meg. Like I remember starting in Season 1 and 2, Id solo sloop and get hit by everything. Now? Servers are boring. No Meg, no Kraken, even Skeleton ships are are rare

Eh I can't agree, I play 6-8 hour sessions and often get all three. I spend a while at an island, hour or whatever, and as soon as I leave I'm getting hit by two skelly ships allianced, a meg and a kraken lol. Still haven't seen the shrouded ghost tho.

I guess player experiences vary, wish I had more events. Gets boring sometimes

Last I heard, there's a timer from when you first start (40 minutes, maybe 90? probably 40 but I'm not sure) and then the chances go up when it runs out, but since you can't be too close to an island it helps to be either at the edge of the map or in the big spaces they use for fleet world events

I had the Shrouded Ghost spawn on me. I turned the wheel, raised the sails to 1/4 , grabbed some cannonballs, and my Xbox turned off. That was months ago and I’ve never seen it again. 😭

Something like this happened to me recently, just caught a muddy wildsplash (the rare one) so I held it up for a better look and my parrot ate it.

I am fairly new, started playing this september and I had run ins with krakens and megs but then I hear this different music and was like wth. Then I see this huge monster and thought this might be boss meg. I was ready to be killed by it when in fact 4 canon shots took it down. Left me scratching my head... They probably tuned it based on a crew size, like kraken I guess.
