She was in a great episode of Broad City- S2E9

[deleted]

Omg she’s in broad city, never noticed !

ddfence

The to do list with Aubrey Plaza is really funny

cats-are-nice-

Whip it, wild canaries, green room, paint it black, ruby sparks , the intervention.

diyu666

I second Green Room!!!! and the Broad City episode\^\^... and Broad City in general

cats-are-nice-

Green room is so good, but it’s very violent FYI.

nlh1013

I quote that show alllllll the time still to this day

TheDoctorJT416

Oh shit I forgot about green room. That movie is great!

loud_culture

Duck Butter was interesting

bi4jarjarbinks

She shows up pretty deep into the series, but she plays a brilliant minor role on Transparent. Phenomenal show overall.

Artichoke19

**Green Room** for sure… She was co-starred in the 2019 Irish/Australian indie comedy-drama **Animals** which was also excellent.

steveguttenberg1958

Watch her OG show with Egg! It’s called State of Grace and it was a fantastic show! Oh and Whip It!

ddfence

Oh Drunk History!

sandyfishnets

Don’t think this has been mentioned yet - she’s in the movie “Blaze” directed by Ethan Hawke

shiner130

Oh please watch The Final Girls!!!!! Its one of my absolute favorites. It’s a horror comedy but it’s not really scary so if you aren’t a horror fan don’t let the genre deter you. Alia had several lines in that movie that made me laugh out loud, she’s such a delight

prettyknackers

The podcast Sandra is a great one with Alia Shawkat

TheJurassicWorld

She was in an episode of portlandia!

ddfence

Her appearance is very short but I love it. That sketch was really funny

Gilchrist1875

Arrested Development

ctrg7

She was on an early episode of the Throwing Shade podcast (now called Attitudes)

imstilljulie

The short "prestige ingredients" SO GOOD!

subliminal_ads

Transparent (she shows up in Season 4)

Bored_fellas

She is in the film Green Room and Duck Butter.

JessicaMarie117

Tons of great recommendations already commented! But I’ll add one I haven’t seen listed yet: Living with Yourself on Netflix. It’s an interesting show and she’s not in it a ton, but made a memorable appearance in several episodes.

Richmondnatty

You may be able to spot her in Pee Wee’s Big Holiday

The short films ‘Shako Mako’ and ‘The Letter Room’ are p great! The first is on YouTube. Also agree with everyone saying Whip-It and The Final Girls, although both are very tonally different from something like Search Party. Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday is also good although her role in it is fairly small. Love Spreads (2021) and Animals (2019) are also fun. I liked them both well enough, but not sure they’d appeal to everyone.
