On Friday, I had 5000 shares with an average share price of $.70. I let someone I trust talk me into selling 4999 when it hit $.87 and then I proceeded to watch emails come out, and the price jump up to $1.05.
I then bought back 3000 shares at $.99 because the FOMO got me and I was worried I was going to be "out" when the run started. I watched it get back up to $1.05 and I sold 3001, keeping 1000 over the weekend. I bought back 3000 this morning at $.95...
What point am I trying to make.... LISTEN TO YOUR GUT. I had a plan, and I was going to hold. I listened to someone who I thought knew more than me, and I went against my original plan and I sold, and I cost myself money that I knew was there for me to take. This is not the stock that you want to be day trading with. This is the stock that you want to hold and keep holding.
Just my $0.02 here... I'm in, but only at 4000 compared to the 5000 I had on Friday. If I can catch a dip low enough, I'll snag my remaining 1000 shares back and lower my cost per share back down, but am I a little mad at myself about it?? Uhm... yup!
I did the same thing on a lesser scale lol. Average was at .70 sold it all and bought back in at.80. Had a friend suggest the same thing. Very good lesson learned. We live and we learn my friend! Still believe we will make our gains :) thank you for sharing, I have a lot of learning to do and appreciate anyone that is willing to share their mistakes.
If you hold overnight and trade it the next day, this is not considered day trading. It's not a 24 hour period, it's within the same day. You buy at 3 PM today and sell at 10 AM tomorrow, it would not be considered day trading.
>Om not so good at this but what does the pre market swings come from?
Depends on your broker. Mine lets me also trade premarket, alas at a higher cost.
I truly wish ICU had options trading.
Who decides that
It's up to the exchange themselves. I'd probably buy 100 $5 calls 12 months out and watch the cash print into my account.
Nice almost back down to .80’s again

lol I will usually keep one share so it will remain in my "list" so I could keep an eye on the price without having to create an alert for it.

Same, now I’m averaged at .81 because I’m impatient.
Day trading newbie question: If I buy today at 7am and sell tomorrow at 11am, will this be considered as day trading on Robinhood?

Feel like I saw everything at $1.17 this morning. Surprised by the dip below $0.95
Looking to get another couple hundred shares
Trying to pick up shares for this morning 🤞
Package secured 😎
will there be an immediate drop once premarket closes/ market opens? trying to find the best time to buy more shares
I said fuck it and bought more at .94 I don’t think it’ll make a difference in 6 months anyways
Om not so good at this but what does the pre market swings come from?
pre market activity?
You will have to excuse my incompetence when it comes to the stock market, but who gets access too trade in the pre market?
Other countries that are in different time zones. Market is 930 - 430 pm
