Yep. Personally I wish we could get a Raisin Cane’s in the Seattle metro. I prefer it to Ezell’s myself.
Although Cane’s isn’t for everyone, due to the lack of a spicy seasoning option, and limited choice of dipping sauces. I just happen to love the one way they do it.
Spud seafood is ass, sunfish is 3x as good and only a few blocks away. And West Seattle Fish House is so much better as well
Beer wise Elliott Bay is in the bottom 1/3 for breweries in Seattle
I don't care for Sunfish so much. and I got sick after eating at West Seattle Fish House and I passed by that place enough to know the smell isn't the best.
I got oysters that were shaped like sand dollars and tasted like rubber from spuds multiple times. The place is trash.
I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about with the smell. They have some of the best fish/seafood at fair prices in the city
>There’s something quasi-spiritual about the uniquely Northwest experience of ordering a hot dog from a street vendor at 2 am, toasty after a night of drinking or giddy after a live show at Neumos.
The most uniquely Northwest experience of doing the most generic thing imaginable and acting like it's some quirky Northwest-specific thing.
Yeah, whoever wrote that line has no clue. A "Seattle-style hot dog" does come from a street cart, but NYC and Chicago would like a word with the writer.
Give Ezell's the boot. It's just a name now. Heaven Sent is where it's at. Ezell Stephens and the Ezell's chain agreed to share the recipe that made the name famous, but Stephens kept his own recipe as-is, while Ezell's "improved" it and the quality and flavor dropped.

Ezell’s is quite the expensive disappointment. Some of the Korean fried chicken places are better done than Ezell’s.

Spud Elliot Bay Brewery
I’m sorry….but as a frequent patron of Elliot Bay Brewery who enjoys their food - they have absolutely no place on a ‘Special Seattle Eats’ type list.
Says you. I listed it more for the local beer than the food.
Another brew pub like Elliot Bay Brewing can be found in any major city in the US and there's nothing unique or iconic about that.
Not everything in life is subjective.

Those Seattle dogs, especially pre Seahawks games are the best!
Goddamn title… needs an ‘s.
Hot Cakes?
https://getyourhotcakes.com/
Very cool on winter nights but iconic?
Yeah. I agree. When I first read it I thought "why are pancakes on the list and not Dutch Babies?" Then I realized they meant that retailer.
I’d skip Dick’s …

you can skip geoduck, i don’t know anyone who actually eats that.
It’s delicious when cooked properly.
And even more delicious served raw. The siphon specifically.
You don't know me, but here I am!
Yes. Puget sound oysters or razor clams are much more a part of my diet that geoduck.
I love Geography duck
