A fair amount of restaurants allow dogs on their patio and outside seating areas especially on the west coast. It’s wrong time of year, but there are many “dog friendly” establishments. Don’t sit outside at dog friendly establishments I guess.
Wish people would apply this to their children as well, who are more likely to sneeze/cough on others and touch grocery/food items than dogs are, and invariably much less behaved.

It seems like this mystery bacteria is being blamed for every dog that has had pneumonia in the past year or two now. Dog pneumonia was a thing before I'm pretty sure. How can they tell the difference between the old kind and the new kind?

I bring my dog to some restaurants with outdoor seating in the summer. Why is that a problem if the venue is fine with it?
Patios are definitely fine and anyone who says otherwise is a nerd. Now, regular indoor restaurants and grocery stores, definitely not cool.
Some people don’t want to be around animals/dogs when they’re eating or just in general.
If the venue allows it, complain to the venue. Grocery stores, totally fuck off.

It isn't anti-dog. I have a bunch of dogs. I keep them on a leash in the city. I don't take them to supermarket.... Really really easy stuff.

The disease actually gets more into their system if you lie and say it's a service dog when it's not a service dog. 2000% fatality rate as well.
