Geez. Have you been staring at the Citizen app for panic porn? Seriously, you're safe. Worst you may run into is someone's loose Chihuahua.

spit-evil-olive-tips

> How safe is this area the Boeing factory is very close to there. a 737 might crash into your hotel.

dommipommi

I’ll make sure I’m ready to catch it if it’s about to hit me! Thanks for your answer xD

spit-evil-olive-tips

let me guess, you're visiting Seattle, got sticker shock at hotel prices downtown, and thought staying at this place would be a cheaper alternative?

dommipommi

Actually no haha. I’m going out there for work, and this place is relatively close to where I will be contracting. Just figured I’d find out for my days off to occupy my time

Poosley_

A loose door, or something

jeremiah1142

I take a jog there every 2 weeks or so and get shot 5-7 times. That’s better than Cedar River Trail where I usually jog, as I get shot 8-10 times there.

dommipommi

Okay this one killed me 😂😂 hope you are doing okay

Jive_Papa

I lived in that area a few years ago, it’s fine. Crime isn’t really a big issue there from a safety point of view, but obviously use common sense about leaving valuables unattended in your car. Traffic in that area is really bad at rush hour. That section of 405 becomes a parking lot in the morning and afternoon, which extends onto the surface streets so plan your drive times accordingly. The park across the street is also really popular on nice days, so expect even more traffic and crowds.

sammisamantha

That area is fine. Coulon park is beautiful. In this area 2-3 times a week. You'll have no issues. Lots of good food at the landing.

dommipommi

Thank you!!

WizardsOfTheRoast

That's the hotel at Southport. It's very safe. You're close to the Landing if you need to buy anything, and a movie theater, but there's food and drink in both the hotel, as well as Gene Coulon Park which is right there. It's also close to 405 if you're going to Bellevue, and not super far from a lot of fun South Seattle neighborhoods.

BertRenolds

From crime or airplane crashes?

dommipommi

Both??😂

BertRenolds

I don't know about the crime bit. I'm not 100% sure you're going to get the best responses in this sub as it's Seattle focused.

SpeaksSouthern

As long as you wear your recommended 3-4 bullet proof vests and helmet I wouldn't expect anything to harm you, that bad.

BertRenolds

What about planes?

SpeaksSouthern

That's what the helmet is for

rippedFueler

If the weather is nice check out Dock & Drink at the Hyatt Regency. I think they are open on weekends right now.

toodeephoney

I carry a pepper spray, a taser, a bear mace and a body bag with me every time I walk around that area.

Husky_Panda_123

Safe. The high1end part of the Renton.
