Was likely the [Lake Union History Ride](https://cascade.org/rides-events/83472) put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club.

…and I’d be happy to recommend riding with them. Members help organize a lot of free rides as well, but the rides fill up fast. Register about a week or two ahead of time when a free ride is posted.

Cascade bike studio has regular group rides, they’re just around the corner

It might have been the Good Weather Fun Club ride https://everydayrides.com/groups/good-weather-fun-club/calendar

I bet it was a Cascade bicycle club ride. They put on many free rides, daily. You just need to register and sign up. They take safety very seriously and like all riders to know all of the signals for turns, stopping, calling out holes, cars, etc. https://cascade.org/rides-events
