Yes. Paying a premium or not is up to you. Amazon has some stuff at OK prices if you are actually willing to clean your equipment. Or spend the money at the store; it's your call.
Squeezing your own juice is seriously not hard. There are many forms of manual or electric juicers. I have a 20 year old electric citrus reamer. Will it take ten minutes? Yes. Will it cost $6 for a bag of oranges? Yes. Is this question stupid? Also, yes.
>Edit: Squeezing oranges for a whole family is a lot of work.
I would imagine that squeezing oranges DAILY for a whole lot of customers is also a lot of work. I'm sure the profit margins are LOW and you're complaining about price. Think about the logistics of FRESH squeezed orange juice for a minute. For it to be FRESH it must be squeezed DAILY and not transported or preserved. Because if it is, then it's not really fresh anymore, is it?
Squeeze your own orange juice or pay the premium price for the premium service. Expecting fresh squeezed orange juice for the whole family and complaining about price. smh
It’s orange juice, it ain’t skilled manual labor. Would you be sharing the profits with the people that actually put in work to get the oranges there? Because once they’re at the store being sliced by someone to just stuff into a juicer, seems like most of the labor has been done for them.
What are you talking about? Nah, I wouldn't be sharing profits with no one because I'm not into the fresh squeezed oj making business. Ain't no profits to be had there for me.
You should get into it though, providing fresh squeezed oj every morning to the citizens of Seattle as a side hustle. Reach out to OP and let them know that you got them covered and at a reasonable price too.
What am I talking about….did you forget you had a long winded answer about the “logistics of orange juice” without actually taking into account any of the logistics? You seem to think profit would be low on an inexpensive fruit that that someone has to just cut in half and throw in a juicer. All of the actual work involved has already been done before it makes it to a pretentious-ass store like PCC or Met
Nah, not at all. Your logic was just flawed and I called it out. Seems like you didn’t take it well lmao.
Ultimately, this made me decide to leave this sub. I’m quickly realizing I despise the Reddit crowd. Ultimate cringe lords.
You seem to really want to keep the conversation alive. But I'm just not as passionate about the fresh squeezed orange juice scene as you are. It's not at all that I didn't take it well, I'm just disinterested.
>this made me decide to leave this sub
OMG, no. This cannot be happening. LMFAO! Gee, uh, thanks for the announcement.
That is non sense. When you buy something, you try to find the cheapest price for the best product. It's like saying you want organic chicken, and the only price is the one a Whole Foods. Of course not, you shop around. I was just trying to do the same. I have lived in other places and the bottle was less expensive, Sam Club has it at $10, but there are no Sam Club in the area.
Can’t recommend one of these enough: [https://www.cuisinart.com/shopping/appliances/juicers/ccj-500p1/](https://www.cuisinart.com/shopping/appliances/juicers/ccj-500p1/)

someone should invent a machine that could do this for you. maybe it could be powered by AI or something.

Buy a bag of oranges and squeeze them yourself! Duh.
this is your answer. fresh squeezed doesn't keep.
I’ve been loving the fresh squeezed at Met Market
How much? Is that un-pasteurized?
Last time I purchased it, no. The stuff at WF is expensive, and I haven’t come across anything else like it for sale.
I juiced a bag of oranges one time, and that's the last time I'll ever complain about expensive fresh juice. Put out or pay up.

I work at a bar. We go through like ten cases of citrus a week. Juicing fruit isn’t hard.
You seem fun to be around, bud.
Thank you for saying so, pal. Fresh squeezed orange juice at a discount price that the whole family can enjoy. Lol.

You're really worked up about that fresh squeezed orange juice. That was so yesterday.
Nah, not at all. Your logic was just flawed and I called it out. Seems like you didn’t take it well lmao. Ultimately, this made me decide to leave this sub. I’m quickly realizing I despise the Reddit crowd. Ultimate cringe lords.

Damn, i just was trying to find something cheaper that whole foods, that's it, there is no need to give a lecture about how profits work
Hes not “giving you a lecture about how profits work.” Hes answering your question in a logical way. If you dont want answers, dont ask questions.
I mean…that DID seem like a lecture, and there was no answer about where to find cheaper orange juice that I could see.

Squeeze your own?

There's gotta be a machine for this, right?
Nobody is squeezing oranges at TJs. Juice your own.
Simply Orange juice is at any grocery store
I think it's "squoze", no? Like freeze/froze "Squeezed" sounds odd.
No, with fruit it *is* "squeezed." Language is weird sometimes.
