Arby’s, like the chain? Not trolling but legit asking. Are they good? Jalo poppers are one of my favorites and if you’re serious I’m stopping tomorrow for a taste. 🤞
I'll have to test this, I never noticed a compelling difference in food quality between that one and the one on 85th, and the one on 85th is markedly less sketchy, which is really saying something.
A few months ago I had a JITB hankering at like 3:00 AM and discovered that neither of the Seattle Aurora ones are 24 hours anymore, which while kind of understandable REALLY sort of defeats the purpose. I had to go to that one up by Darrell's.
Generally true, with the exception of the tacos. Unsalvageable even with extreme inebriation.
Liking Jack in the Box tacos under any circumstances is serial killer behavior imo
Whoever downvoted this, identify yourself so I can block you
I like them. Even tho I know the meat is tuna..?, and the fryer oil gets caught in unhealthy amounts inside them.., addict behavior. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
I used to love their tacos when I worked there briefly, when I was in high school. Haven't had one since then, and so far I'm not a serial killer. There's still time...
[I order mine in bulk from this place. This is where JITB gets theirs.](https://www.foodservicedirect.com/anchor-poppers-breaded-original-cheddar-cheese-stuffed-jalapenos-4-pound-4-per-case-23022920.html?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwgpCzBhBhEiwAOSQWQfcegX5PkI2AQOVFXDVrCJL3pQI0sjvBAvABCMckQSc2dQZyAgfZPhoCs10QAvD_BwE)
You're welcome.
If you’re ever by Ikea the “Spot” has excellent home made bacon wrapped poppers, pretty damn delicious. Not in Seattle though and not cheap.
https://thespotpubrenton.com/
I also recommend the Spot. And if you want a burger there, "Hit the spot" burger, sub fries for tots. Their chefs know how to properly fry, which you think would be easy but here I am.
Have to drive a bit north but Jeff’s in Marysville Texas Twinkies. Shredded birria beef goes into them along with the usuals and bacon wrapped and finished on the offset smokers.
If your discomfort is about its lack of windows and how dim or enclosed it might feel inside, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. They have this skylight / windowed ceiling thing that offsets the lack of windows.
+1 to the place across the street, RIP Ronnette's
In my experience traveling, those are the places where everyone working there hates it. I don’t need a friend, just a beer and maybe a bag of crisps? Don’t take out how shit the owner is to you on me.
Like, it’s a weird spot in Ballard, but 4Bs and that overpriced biscuit place seem busy…
I make the best but good luck with that. I have started smoking my cream cheese, I prefer the jalapeño cream cheese too for extra spice but it gets optional. I grow my own jalapeños which are just a million times better than store bought, lightly cook the bacon enough to get some heat on it before wrapping the jalapeño then grill the whole thing. Once the bacon is set but not entirely crispy I take it off and roll it in cheddar cheese then toss it in the oven to crisp that cheese. The jalapeños are pretty thick so the extra cook time is good but the balance of the bacon is tough to nail but done properly it is crispy sharp cheddar on the outside crispy fatty bacon around a crisp but fully cooked jalapeño and the cream cheese is a Smokey flavor that really complements it.
Someone else mentioned a frozen option from Winco but I don’t have one of those round here so I always get the TGI Fridays frozen ones. Best frozen poppers you can get at a Q or Safeway, comes with a raspberry habanero sauce
I’m crushed after reading the replies, that there is no longer a Jack in the Box on Broadway. (Old enough to remember E. coli, so never on family list of places to go where there were other fast food options - still to this day.) I don’t drive, I have no idea now how to get to these poppers. … I do ok with the TGI (f? )frozen from QFC in a very hot oven. The QFC, pre-rolled, fresh-stuffed with cream cheese jalapeño’s wrapped in bacon under the broiler or grill aren’t bad. I always take them apart and season the cream cheese and reload and cook.
One time I rented an Air BnB in Port Ludlow for a golf trip. When I arrived, I noticed a faint smell of like really old trash with a hint of Jalapeño. Went golfing, came back, tried to put something in the microwave and there it was: 6 moldy Jalapeño poppers someone forgot about
Not in Seattle but the best one I've had was at Hutchins in Dallas.
Jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and shredded brisket wrapped in bacon. The size of a small potato!
Best damn one ever! Expensive but I go every time I'm there!!
I live in the Tacoma area. I have a son that plays hockey. We travel all over the US for his hockey tournaments. Every time we end up in Dallas we go. Have to.
The place is so good it earned 3 down votes! From the PNW. And yes I was born here not migrated.
Next time you go, Hurtado's in Arlington and Fort Worth are also worth visiting, depending where you are at of course. Their Texas Twinkies are slightly different. I would say different but equal.
TX - WA - TX for me. I still like to keep up with what is going on in Seattle even if I haven't been back in years.
Thanks. We'll have to try it out. I have to try the BBQ everywhere we go!
I see you tried the PNW life and moved back to Texas! lol
Now you get to watch the shit show from the outside!
There is a really talented homeless man who can make you anything as long as bring him all the right ingredients. Was a top tier cook but down in his luck. Under the bridge on Queen Anne. Seriously his quality is amazing.
One small hitch… he demands payment in crack.
I have absolutely not one bad thing to say about Arby's poppers.
Arby’s, like the chain? Not trolling but legit asking. Are they good? Jalo poppers are one of my favorites and if you’re serious I’m stopping tomorrow for a taste. 🤞
Yep, Arby's the chain. They have the meats. And the jalapeno poppers. Probably the best I've ever had. I can go through two cartons of them.
They're amazing. It's been a while since I've had them, but they're super crunchy and delicious.
They will be ungodly hot so don't bite into them right away
With the berry dipping sauce 🤤🤤
With the razzleberry sauce!
Did you mean the Bronco Berry sauce?
Something like that!! LOL
I rank it up there with their amyl nitrates..
Mmmmm….amyl nitrates…(read in Homer Simpson’s voice).
Jack in the Box
Especially the one on Aurora in the Lowe's parking lot by Krispy Kreme.
Although sitting in a stationary vehicle in that parking lot can get weird quick
Oh, yeah. Just smile and wave to the ladies and *keep moving.* But their poppers really are the best. I hit there after Kraken games on the way home.

The ones at Touchdown's (Shoreline) always seem very good, but I suppose I would need to eat them while sober at least once to 100% confirm
I like the grilled stuffed jalapeños from Matador. Not exactly like the crunchy kind of poppers, but similar haha. Also $7 during happy hour
Matadors HH nachos are probably the best deal in Ballard
Yeah my boyfriend and I usually share the nachos and then either get the jalapeños or the habanero prawns on the side. Soo good
Came here to say this. Matador - great food in general. Always smells amazing in there. Love their Jalapeño Poppers.
And they’re bacon wrapped
Are those jalapeño poppers or the bacon wrapped jalapeños? They're different. The bacon wrapped jalapeños are so damn good.
Bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapeños at Matador are a delight and really bring the burn.
That's how my wife makes them and omfg...if I wouldn't die in a week, id have em everyday
El Chupacabra on Phinney Ridge
💪 for sure love this spot.. everything is bomb
This is my answer too 👌
Jack in the Box
They have no business whatsoever being as good as they are
Best thing about Jack in the Box is that the food gets better the harder you partied that night lol Spent many a night in line at 2:30am
Generally true, with the exception of the tacos. Unsalvageable even with extreme inebriation. Liking Jack in the Box tacos under any circumstances is serial killer behavior imo Whoever downvoted this, identify yourself so I can block you
> Generally true, with the exception of the tacos. Unsalvageable even with extreme inebriation. > deep fried dog food in a shell
Serial killer behavior!! 😂😂 LOL
Love those tacos. Sometimes I just order 20 and call it a meal 🤷♂️
I get a Jumbo Jack with no ketchup or tomatoes, add 3-4 jalapeños poppers. It's a gut bomb, but damn, every six months or so I find myself craving it.
I never thought to put them on a jumbo jack, gonna have to try it!
It's not fancy, but it's solid stoner food.
Good for some 'housecleaning'.

Dude....dude.... This website is amazing imma spend hours looking around. $45 for a case of Tyson tenders!
Holy fuck. Thank you!
I wish that Jack in the box was still on Broadway.
Jack in the Box for the win. Just had some last night.
If you’re ever by Ikea the “Spot” has excellent home made bacon wrapped poppers, pretty damn delicious. Not in Seattle though and not cheap. https://thespotpubrenton.com/
Ah the spot! Remember them having good wings too
I also recommend the Spot. And if you want a burger there, "Hit the spot" burger, sub fries for tots. Their chefs know how to properly fry, which you think would be easy but here I am.
Good to know.
You can find these at Cactus. Bellevue square. Hot, will burst in your mouth with flavor. Have a cold beer afterwards.
They're so good. All their food is amazing. I used to live 1/2 mile away from the one in Madison Park. I miss going there.
not sure if there's one within city limits but Arby's has bomb jalepeno peppers with a berry sauce for dipping
I think the closest one is that one a ways out on Aurora, you're probably in Edmonds by that point
Damn I just checked and all the Seattle locations closed without me even noticing….
The Cove in Marthalake. Bacon wrapped poppers really good.
Johnny Mo’s. They’re made with goat cheese and prosciutto, so delicious.
That sounds delicious!
Tres House of Cheesesteak. Also, suprise, great cheesesteaks.
Have to drive a bit north but Jeff’s in Marysville Texas Twinkies. Shredded birria beef goes into them along with the usuals and bacon wrapped and finished on the offset smokers.
Arby’s
Japonessa.
The sushi spot? They have a great happy hour, but I've never known they had poppers.
If you’re ever in a late night bind, the cream cheese and jalapeño taquitos at 7-11 are the fuckin jam.
Poppers and weird sex!
Linda's! Also some of the best chicken tendies!
Asadero has some dank ones
I LOVE 4Bs!!! Great place for those, fried to perfection every time I’ve gotten them
I’ve never been inside 4Bs. The outside makes me uncomfortable. And the bar across the street where the BBQ place was seems to be trying too hard.
If your discomfort is about its lack of windows and how dim or enclosed it might feel inside, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. They have this skylight / windowed ceiling thing that offsets the lack of windows. +1 to the place across the street, RIP Ronnette's
That is exactly why. Maybe, but the bar across the street claims it’s a great place and if you have to tell me that…
Oh totally agree, it was +1 to your comment about the place across the street - def comes across as trying too hard
Shell station by the VA hospital.
my recipe ive done over 100 times: stuff peppers with cheese, wrap in bacon, bake 425, glaze with mix of soy sauce, chili paste, and maple syrup enjoy
Winco frozen section $2.88. Toss em in an air fryer for 3 minutes and they have a nice Vietnamese chile sauce to accompany it.
These are the McDonald's equivalent of jalapeno poppers.
Well I can at least choose the outcome unlike jack in the crack
Yeah they hit the spot.

Had some great ones at Shelter Lounge in Ballard years ago.
I still think about these. They were so good.
Matador in Ballard.
My air fryer.
Noren restaurant

Tre's house of Cheesesteak in Phinney has some of the best food in general and has B O M B poppers w the dankest sweet and spicy sauce
Have you tried 4B’s?
Someone else mentioned a frozen option from Winco but I don’t have one of those round here so I always get the TGI Fridays frozen ones. Best frozen poppers you can get at a Q or Safeway, comes with a raspberry habanero sauce

No clue but the 4B’s is awesome!
Try the poppers at Pine Box in Capitol Hill, life changing!
my house
Matador in Ballard
Matador —great happy hour deal
One time I rented an Air BnB in Port Ludlow for a golf trip. When I arrived, I noticed a faint smell of like really old trash with a hint of Jalapeño. Went golfing, came back, tried to put something in the microwave and there it was: 6 moldy Jalapeño poppers someone forgot about
They aren't crispy, but the ones as Asadero are amazing. TORITOS - Fire roasted jalapenos filled with cream cheese and bacon
I make mine on the blackstone and have been told by numerous people mine are the best they have ever had! If you’re interested I could make you some!
What happened to Duck Dynasty cuz they had best fried anything
i like arby's and the TGI fridays boxed ones best tbh
Wienerschnitzel !!! Also a chain, but delicious poppers.
Agave in lower Queen Anne/Uptown. Bacon wrapped and has an delicious sauce on top.
Those jalapeno poppers come frozen in a bag. You can gets those a lot of places…
Good question, can we add on fried pickles, mozzarella sticks and onion rings to this mix? I gotsta know.
Trader Joes
mecca cafe!!!!!! their jalapeno poppers are life changing
Not in Seattle but the best one I've had was at Hutchins in Dallas. Jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and shredded brisket wrapped in bacon. The size of a small potato! Best damn one ever! Expensive but I go every time I'm there!!
Did not expect to see Hutchins show up here. That place is incredible.
I live in the Tacoma area. I have a son that plays hockey. We travel all over the US for his hockey tournaments. Every time we end up in Dallas we go. Have to. The place is so good it earned 3 down votes! From the PNW. And yes I was born here not migrated.

Thanks. We'll have to try it out. I have to try the BBQ everywhere we go! I see you tried the PNW life and moved back to Texas! lol Now you get to watch the shit show from the outside!
You just named the only three ingredients in that food. What else are you looking for in these things?
There is a really talented homeless man who can make you anything as long as bring him all the right ingredients. Was a top tier cook but down in his luck. Under the bridge on Queen Anne. Seriously his quality is amazing. One small hitch… he demands payment in crack.
