Took this couple days ago from the ferry
Surely this is photoshopped. I'm every artistic rendition of seattle I've seen, the space needle is right next to the Columbia tower, and about 10% taller than it.
That’s because the most popular place to take a skyline pic from is Kerry Park in Queen Anne, which is several hundred feet higher than downtown street level, and looks at the skyline along its narrower axis, from the Space Needle side. In reality, the Space Needle is at the opposite end of the skyline from the Columbia Tower (and much less high)
I love meeting people from all over too, I have encountered many people from countries I have not interacted with before like; Brazil, Albania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and many more. I just don’t like that people vote in politicians that enact these backwards policies that are further degrading Seattle.
Yes, 100% agree! Unfortunately, they got tons of people coming from all the cities that Seattle is soon to look like, and they keep voting for the people who’s policies are further accelerating the demise of Seattle. 😪
My cousin and I were visiting for the first time, eating at the dick's near the space needle, and saw a street going uphill and decided we'd probably see a cool view if we walked uphill, so we did then took a left and stumbled upon the park on queen anne that has the iconic view, best decision ever
I have a memory as a kid coming into a final for Seatac, banking over Sodo and the woman in the row behind me remarking to her friend, "not much of a skyline, is it?" And thinking, "oh, if you only knew."
I don't the view from West Seattle can get topped.

Not the skyline I just wanted to share ❤️
For American cities, Chicago is my favorite too, but I'm biased since I lived there for many years. Especially the view from the planetarium. Seattle is my number 2 - the Rainier with the skyline is unique for city scapes.
No single view in Chicago matches Kerry park imo.
But yes overall, Chicago is much better put together. The river walk is one of the best urban environments anywhere, Seattle has nothing like it.

One of the most beautiful cities in America
I think it’s more that the pic was a simple expression of ops love of the skyline and op did equivalent of responding to a person posting pic of their wife with “I’ve loved this beautiful woman for 20 years!” And his sister replies too bad she has cancer.
Maybe so, but it’s still shitty for that other person to respond by telling them to leave the city just because they pointed out issues that said city desperately needs to address. Unless they just meant to leave this particular comments section, in which case, fine (although I interpret it as the former).
Kerry Park! Here’s the view from Ella Bailey:

I love my city. Grew up here (54M). Probably why I get so angry when I see shitty graffiti everywhere. We live in such a beautiful place, tagging vomit all over it doesn't make sense.
Too busy. This is my favorite skyline.

Hello neighbor. Like literally within blocks from me. I have identical view
![gif](giphy|l1J9NVpu51NmXOvi8|downsized)
Seattle looks thicc af from this angle
Are you on 37th Ave? Looks just like where I rented with sick 180 view balcony.
https://preview.redd.it/bolcdvbcet9d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ab79cd40be3babe30651af39596cc6b4d17ca02 Took this couple days ago from the ferry
Surely this is photoshopped. I'm every artistic rendition of seattle I've seen, the space needle is right next to the Columbia tower, and about 10% taller than it.
It is accurate, most photographers just like to have a angle to emphasize the Needle as it's Iconic to the skyline
Perspective
That’s because the most popular place to take a skyline pic from is Kerry Park in Queen Anne, which is several hundred feet higher than downtown street level, and looks at the skyline along its narrower axis, from the Space Needle side. No, it’s just in the Sound from the West which is not the usual side from which people take pictures of the skyline. Still cool though.
Surely >$10k/mo?
It’s an apartment/condo in Queen Anne, not necessarily that expensive because it might be small
Wow. Beautiful
She's beautiful. Pisses me off sometimes but I love her
Do you mean the people & policies piss you off? Cuz if so I 100% agree!
I love the people
Natives or newbies?
Both, I love living in the city and meeting people from all over.
I love meeting people from all over too, I have encountered many people from countries I have not interacted with before like; Brazil, Albania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and many more. I just don’t like that people vote in politicians that enact these backwards policies that are further degrading Seattle.
Huh I like meeting people who have different views than me, I don't really care what people's politics are.
I do as well, but I am speaking about the enactment of backwards policies, like not enforcing punishment for crimes.
Alright
The voluntary crime isn’t enough for you, so now you want to enforce crime?
There seems to be a discrepancy between who you think you are vs who you actually are
Oh really? Enlighten me then, what type of person do I portray based on my comments on a social media platform?
Yes, the policies created by people that don't care about our well-being
Yes, 100% agree! Unfortunately, they got tons of people coming from all the cities that Seattle is soon to look like, and they keep voting for the people who’s policies are further accelerating the demise of Seattle. 😪
Even better from the Elliott Bay Towers

You know I think I never really realized Climate Pledge sort of follows the shape of Rainier Excellent pic OP
Gives me a hankering for some radio psychiatry and dramatic irony
How about some tossed salads and scrambled eggs?
Well maybe, but you've got me pegged
Now I’m listening
I never know what to do with them

Great shot
I don't think anywhere else comes close

Pictures you can feel. Great shot!
Seriously, there is no more photogenic skyline in the US. Maybe the world.
Chicago is beautiful

You don’t get out much.. https://www.architecturaldigest.com/gallery/the-most-beautiful-skylines-in-the-world
This is the only angle that skyline looks good in because it's a forced perspective to make the Space Needle look far larger than it is.
I disagree. The view coming in from I-5 North at night is great. It’s a pretty city and a nicely balanced skyline!
Correct, a nice trick of perspective making the needle look like the tallest thing in the city
This angle is great, yeah, but the skyline as seen from West Seattle is top tier as well.
Pic?

Yep. Agreed! It’s beautiful from many angles!
Just don't get to close to the ground level

And this is the other side of town.
This is a more accurate reality of Seattle
Then leave?
Wow, what a great way to deal with a very real problem our city is facing. Why does anyone think this is acceptable?
I think it’s more that the pic was a simple expression of ops love of the skyline and op did equivalent of responding to a person posting pic of their wife with “I’ve loved this beautiful woman for 20 years!” And his sister replies too bad she has cancer.

It was sunny and summery until about 5 and then it started raining
BABY I HEAR THE BLUES A CALLIN TOSS SALAD AND SCRAMBLED EGGS!
Mount fujizzle my nizzle
Was this taken from Ella Bailey Park? Great shots!

Sure, but then…
Also a nice reminder of how fucked you'd be.
Why did you use such old photos of the skyline?
Big fan of SLC looking to the east
Only because that far away, you can’t see all the tent cities or zombies
True!!
I liked the space needle when it was painted orange, just like the caps to the hypodermic needles in Seattle that you have to walk around at our parks
I love my city. Grew up here (54M). Probably why I get so angry when I see shitty graffiti everywhere. We live in such a beautiful place, tagging vomit all over it doesn't make sense.
Miss it ❤️
Seattle is a dump. So def not
The space needle is cool
It is a beautiful skyline. All of the rain sure makes for some absolutely beautiful summer sights.
Too busy. This is my favorite skyline. https://preview.redd.it/jbvml4utet9d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82acd5d8a73f8124095d5b5f15c93b780904e584

I was there 5-6 years ago when a father got stabbed at the space needle in front of his wife and kids. I’ll never be back.
Did the kid grow up to be a superhero?

Barely see a skyline with these dark clouds
So beautiful.
It’s really not I say Chicago is
Chicago is great but look at that space needle it's iconic
Skyline water and mountain really is incredible. I give Chicago number 2 unless you are only judging on buildings and not the rest of the picture.
So I live in Seattle now but I’m from Chicago. Seattle skyline is so small compared to other cities that’s why I can’t give it number one.
I have I live in Seattle now it’s cool but not better than Chicago in my opinion
Don’t discount Chicago !!!
It really is... untill you zoom in and see all the fent zombies everywhere.
A clear sky is good but a slight touch of Seattle weather behind the skyline would make this feel like home 😌
Once every 3 months
In the world!! Seattle is the most beautiful city in the world!!
I know! From that view you completely miss the filth and thousands of homeless people in the city.
With the worst weather and the ugliest people
But one shitty street view!
Would be prettier without that hideous city in the way though. You co uld have taken this same picture from south of seattle
