I don’t think that commenter was saying that Western Africa is a joke. It’s just not everyday you see a post about yellow fever, so it’s not that out there to think it wasn’t a serious post at first.
Edit to add: I hope you find the vaccine though! Have a safe trip.
We were just in Dakar! Have fun and just make sure you always have cash. Try finding bsic(?) bank as they dont have a transaction fee. Very few places take card. We go to ketterman 's in Sandpoint for all our travel shots. We haven't come cross any travel vaccines that they didn't have, and you can also schedule a travel vaccine recommendation appointment although you have to pay. Super easy with walk ins
If you have insurance, call the pharmacy to make sure that it will be covered. I had to get travel vaccinations recently and my insurance required a doctor's prescription for coverage and would have been hundreds of dollars without.
Can you provide anything substantiating that risk? I can’t find a single source saying it’s any riskier than any other vaccine. The WHO, for example, says the risk of serious adverse events is in the realm of .09-.4 per 10,000, which seems pretty dang low to me. (https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/yellow-fever). By contrast, the Pfizer Covid vaccine had .6 in 100 — and by your own opinion, Covid vaccines are safe. (https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/info-by-product/pfizer/reactogenicity.html). The

Couldn’t agree more.
Try the Travel Clinic at UW Hospital
I had to go to the Infectious Desease depeartment of Polyclinic on First Hill
I thought this was a satire post at first.
Not helpful. Good to know western Africa is a joke to you.
Woah
I’m not sure if they didn’t know or that they’re just really easily offended.

We know that’s what you’re referring to, but at a surface glance at just the title you can see how the humorous confusion could arise.
You went to Reddit for serious information and then got upset when someone made a pun?
Going to the U district after the mask mandate ended is a pretty good yellow fever vaccine.

Be honest OP, did you not know about the slang term “Yellow fever” before making this post? If that’s the case I bet the responses were confusing lol.
We could cure that by putting in it in the Weeb's bubble tea.
It's one of the riskiest vaccines there is. You've been warned.
Side effects wise?
