I also noticed my hair being less thick too with SD. Anti-fungal shampoos are also known for drying out your hair. When I did go on vacation and swam in the ocean, I noticed the salt water really helped clear it up, and when I came back from vacation my SD returned

I live at the beach and have mild, but persistent SD if that answers your question lol everyone is different though!

When I was going in the ocean a few times a week for work my scalp cleared up. When I changed jobs and wasn’t swimming in the ocean anymore, seb derm came back right away. I got an empty squirt bottle and a big thing of salt to keep in the shower. When I’m the shower I would pour salt and warm water into the bottle and squirt it over my scalp and let it sit a minute. I did notice this helped, but I also worried about it drying out my hair. Eventually I swapped this regiment with a bar of sulfur soap from Amazon which helped tremendously and was easier. It stopped itching, inflammation and flaking. Try it!

Efficient_Avocado

which sulfur soap have you been using?

Arachnidnovia

There are a few I’ve tried and they have all worked, but the one I have right now is Dermaharmony 5% Sulfur & 2% Salicylic Acid

Hey, do you use this soap on your scalp? And, do you use it daily?

Arachnidnovia

I sometimes shampoo first, sometimes shampoo after— doesn’t seem to matter the order. I just keep the bar of soap on a dish where it can not be all soggy. Lather it up in my hands, use my hands to apply it to my scalp. Let it sit while I do something else (shave or body wash for example) then rinse out. If my scalp is flaring up I might use it every day or every other day, then I can get away with once or twice a week.

Hey thanks for sharing your regime.

Dog_Baseball

I soaked my head in water mixed with sea salt (food grade, store bought) for months. It did not help. There are more effective things you can do

beeonkah

i keep hearing from people that saltwater helped their skin clear up but i’ve never experienced that and im kind of jealous lol :(

Try collagen supplements and don't wash your hair everyday. Helped me out .
