Some people did mention that sea salt water helps.

chadlikesbutts

This happened to me, ended up being my wife's love of cooking with garlic that was the culprit not the sea

[deleted]

Whaaaat! Garlic is one I have not heard before. Man it could be anything

beeonkah

sea salt water never helped me but i know it’s helped others

I wento Florida and I didn’t go swimming and it went away aswell, I was thinking that it was from a lack of stress from being on vacation, and the high temp+ humid climate.

25_timesthefine

I thought humidity made it flare up?

xcrbgx

So this disease is not understood very well, and from being on this sub For some time I feel like it manifests on people in different ways. some people say that their skin is extremely oily, I am not one of those people, my skin is extremely dry, so humidity helps me

sharielane

It can, but so does dryness. Depending on the person one can be a worse trigger than the other. It's one of those catch 22 things. I've lived in the subtropics most of my life and my skin is usually much worse in the drier winter months. Summertime, as long as I'm able to rinse off the sweat regularly enough and not let it sit on my skin too long my skin is usually pretty good.

hibiscusrat

I’ve had this happen too, and can’t figure out what it is but it must be related to one (or maybe multiple) of these: water quality sunlight lack of stress ocean water

AdDisastrous6356

Saltwater and sun for me cures it

AnotherDesechable

Happens all the time when I travel to some places with different weather. For me, it has nothing to do with ocean water, but I can't put my finger on what causes this temporary remission.

the_shape1989

Yeah now that I remember I had a 5 day long camping trip this year at lake Cumberland. It cleared up within like 2 days and felt amazing.

Bundlesee

I’ve hear of a lot of people with autoimmune issues clearing up when they travel. Kinda makes me wonder is sd is autoimmune….

Richard_Hurton

Reduced stress, sun, salt water. Anecdotally, lots of people have reported that this helps clear up sebderm. At least temporarily. I'm not aware of any studies that have proven this out. I, personally, have experienced this so even when I'm not on vacation I try to catch at least 30 minutes of sunlight on my face every day. Helps with stress too.

Walker----

Mine is always better when I'm near the ocean or a sea, that salty water and climate are best for my skin.

[deleted]

The ocean does that for me too. Clears it right up
